The Muse’s Gift Ideas: The Perfect Cupcake Gift

Gift Ideas from the Muse

The Muse has set up for gift guides this year which I hope up until now you’ve found helpful. Most of my guides have focused on various deals or certain companies, etc……

I’ve also decided to throw out a few gift ideas as well which I’ve used in the past or plan on using this year.

Hopefully you’ll enjoy some of these ideas and find they make unique and fun gifts for family and friends.

Jump ahead to find out how to give the perfect little cupcake!

Ok, so you need a few things to create the perfect little cuppycake gift.

You’ll need a friend or family member who loves taking bathes or loves bath bombs and pretty soaps and such.

Secondly, head to your local bakery and ask nicely if they might give you a cake box. In most cases they won’t even charge you but it’s nice to buy some cookies or something and than casually ask for the empty box. Or if you’re a bit shy to outright ask just go ahead and offer to pay them for it at most they’ll charge you a buck or two.

Thirdly, get some really nice ribbon. Don’t skimp! Check out the Target Dollar Bins as they sometimes have some outstanding ribbon for a buck. Loves it!

Finally head over to Blissful Bath and haul up on some great Cupcake Bath Bombs for $3.25. Get around six or so as that’s about how many will fix into your cake box.

Plop each one into the box with a bit of tissue paper or a cute lace dollie underneath or even get some fancy cupcake cups and place each bath bomb inside.

And that’s it!

Give to a family or friend as a gift! Pretty great right? I did this last year for my mail girl and she absolutely adored it (I also did it for a few friends prior to this as well). Remember to put a card inside telling the person these are BATH BOMBS and not real cupcakes, don’t want your family eating them up.

If you really want to make it fancy you can get a cake pedestal (I did this for my friend’s birthday once) place the cupcakes on there and throw in some Cupcake Soaps (I like this Etsy shop as they have Candy Cane scented Cupcake Soaps) as well to make it even fancier. Get a big red bow and wrap it around the base of the cake stand. After that either wrap it up with festive cellophane and a ribbon or put it in a pretty gift bag. The cake stand pictured below is available at Target for $14.99 but I’m placing bets you can get one even cheaper ranging from $6-$9 bucks or of course if you really wanna spend big you can get a lovely one at William Sonoma.

Of course you can go even further and make a cute custom label for your bakery box that says any cute saying, “Baked Fresh”, etc….

Fun gift idea right?

Hope you enjoyed this unique gift idea! Stay tuned for more great gift posts.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.
