The Muse’s Gift Ideas: A Warm Holiday Gift, Hot Cocoa

Gift Ideas from the Muse

If you have some casual friends, business associates, the mailman, etc…..who you want to gift with something special try out this gift idea from the Muse to warm your gift receiver from the inside, out!

You’ll need some nice gift bags, tissue paper, or a fancy box, some ribbon would be nice as well! I personally like to present this gift in a box with a big ribbon.

Now head to William Sonoma or your fav homegood store and shop for some fancy mugs. I really love the William Sonoma Cafe Mugs for this gift idea. Buy a set for $30 (you can split them up into three or four gifts) or you can probably go cheaper elsewhere but I just adore William Sonoma for kitchen-y goodies.

Since I break the sets up into two mugs each it breaks down the price to $10 for two mugs…not bad right?

Head over to the Teton Cocoa Company on Etsy and purchase an array of gorgeous freshly made hot cocoa mixes. My favs are Caramel Hot Chocolate and French Vanilla Hot Chocolate Mix ($14 per 1/2 pound). You can easily split these up as they are pretty big, just buy some twist bakery bags on E-bay or at your local craft store!

Purchase some marshmallows…personally supermarket marshmallows don’t cut it in my humblest as that just makes the gift really average. Buy some fantastic marshmallows from William Sonoma or from Etsy (I’ve purchased so many marshmallows off of Etsy it’s not even funny! They make awesome guest gifts as well when you’re heading to a party). My favs are Peppermint Marshmallows which are six for $4 from mia Mallows. I like Mia’s stuff because it cheaper per item where as many shops sell larger mallows at $12 and up, Mia keeps it cheap at around $4 for a little less in quantity but not in taste and size of the product.

And that’s it! Combine all your goodies to make a gorgeous, luxurious hot chocolate gift for friends or associates. It’s not a gift for very close friends but I think it makes a fab gift idea for friends you don’t hang out with daily or even as a guest gift when attending parties. It’s also a nice one for work related friends and the likes.

Honestly, the marshmallows and homemade cocoa are a huge success every time on gift them. Particularly the marshmallows which are quite impressive in size and taste.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
