The Muse’s Gift Ideas: Give the Gift of Makeup on the Cheap
My friends and family aren’t as nearly obsessed with makeup as I am but they sure do like getting gifts from me that are of the cosmetic variety. Makeup, cosmetics, skincare, etc…aren’t always the cheapest option to give but here’s some tips and tricks to give the gift of makeup on the cheap!
The Muse suggests purchasing some nice boxes and tissue paper at your local Target for a buck (love the dollar bins) or if you have ALOT of friends and family hit up Oriental Trading to buy boxes in lots of 12 for as little as $3.99-$4.99 with free shipping (loving you free shipping).
So why do you need the boxes? You need them for filling up with cool cosmetic finds.
Don’t be stingy…grab a pack of sponges, some puffs, and other cosmetic bits and bobs and tuck them into the box as well.
Now fill those boxes with great cosmetics.
Snag makeup for as little as $4.99 Each at Lorac’s VIP Sale.
Spice it up by hitting Smashbox’s Curtain Call section. Use promo code sff91 for 20% Off and Free Shipping. Prices aren’t particularly cheap but with 20% off and a Smashbox lover in your life you’ll end up making up a nice little gift.
Get creative and break apart gifts! Try out Korres Cherry Lips Kisses ($19.50, $6.50 per a gloss), Korres Lip Saver Roll ($19.50, $6.50 per a balm), and my personal fav Korres Delight Your Lips Lipstick Set ($26.50, $6.65 or so per a lipstick). Get them cheaper still by using promo code MUSE for 30% Off your order. Visit www.korresusa.com
Break it up even further by purchasing from ACW and hitting up sets like the Pop Mini Ribbon Gloss Set for $12.99, broken up it sets you back at less than $3 bucks a pot!
Try to keep your boxes at $20 to $25 if possible and of course for best friends or closer family members you can go a bit higher.
There are endless possibilities with getting creative with each box plus with all the sales going on it’s a super easy way to get your makeup gifts on at really cheap prices. Don’t forget to always check out the sale sections or last chance areas of makeup sites as you’ll be surprised at how many killer deals are available.
