WANT IT: Anastasia Hydrating Oil

Can I tell you, my skin is so behaving lately. I can’t figure out if it’s the new skincare I’m using or if it’s the re-testing I’m doing with the Clarisonic Skin Brush. Whatever it is my skin is almost normal…UNHEARD of in the Winter months, wait come to think of it I don’t think my skin has ever been normal.

Anyway…

Bad news.

I got sick last week. Not badly sick but ill enough to have the sniffles, sore throat, a tiny bit of coughing, etc….I’m still sick today actually even after a ton of antibiotics. Whenever I get sick my skin suffers terribly. It dull, flaky, and just terribly gross. It’s kinda like having a bad hair day only it’s a bad skin week or two weeks or month, until I get better again. For two weeks now I’m sporting patching cheeks, a dry crusty looking nose (oh the grossness of it all), and I’m just dull looking as all heck.

These are the days I need an extra dose of moisture. Actually last year, in this cold weather, my skin would be positively gagging for some extra moisture.

Which is why my little eye is on Anastasia Hydrating Oil.

Anastasia Hydrating Oil

Wants it!

Anastasia Hydrating Oil is a cocktail of jojoba, borage, black current, and meadowfoam seed oils which provides ultimate hydration to the skin. That’s the key word for today kids, “ultimate hydration”, actually that’s two words but nobody like’s a smarty pants. Whenever you hear ultimate hydration run around and scream…kidding..but if you actually do it kudos to you!

Jojoba is a naturally occurring oil that resembles the skin sebum while offering soothing properties.

Black Currant is rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6, which are essential to normal cell structure.

Rosehips is also rich in essential fatty acids such as Omega-3 and Omega-6 and also contains trans-retinoic acid, tocopherol and carotenoids providing antioxidant properties.

Borage promotes healthier-looking skin.

You get the idea but the product actually has over 7 different oils combined into the mix of things, see? Ultimate hydration.

To use it you simply apply to your face and allow to absorb. Supposedly it absorbs quickly without leaving your face greasy or oily.

As for me they had me at ultimate hydration.

Anastasia Hydrating Oil sounds like a good one too me, may have to pick this one up.

Available now from Nordstrom.

What do you think?

Worthy of a try out?

I normally steer clear of anything even containing oil (much less using straight up oil), cuz though my skin is dry I tend to breakout. According to the product description this is an oil that won’t cause breakouts. Genius! Def going to try. It’s almost impossible to find a moisturizer that’s heavy enough but won’t clog my pores. Do you have any other moisturizer suggestions?

I have this oil and it’s GREAT. Jojoba oil alone – I would never put that on my face. It makes for a greasy mess. Somehow this combination absorbs into the and moisurizes without breaking me out. My skin is normal with a lightky oily T zone but nothing too bad. And I’m African American. I have a feeling this will help some of the dark spots. Buy it.
