As Seen by the Muse: Spotted Chanel at the Golden Globes
The Muse is busy getting the scoop on the Golden Globes this morning as I wasn’t home to watch it last night plus..pssttt…between you and me, I’m not all that big a fan of award shows, the corny jokes just make me yawn even when Ricky is the one doing the tellin’. I did record the entire thing so I can skip through really quickly or watch and rewind RDJ (Robert Downey, Jr) in all his dry wit proceeding to thank no one, god that man is hotness on a stick.
Although I will share with you, As seen by the Muse, some looks spotted on the red carpet created by Chanel.
Have a little jump!
Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Jennifer Garner, and January Jones were all wearing Chanel. The looks created are exactly what I associated with the brand. Nothing dramatic but plenty of old Hollywood glam that was displayed with bold red lips or a focus on the eyes.
I personally did not like Nicole Kidman’s look as her brows seem very strong however her makeup was flawless. The look was created by Makeup Artist Angela Levin and focused on an old Hollywood look. Her eyes were created using Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Jungle, Bois Bleu, and Le Bronze. The dramatic curl of her lashes were created using two coats of Chanel Inimatable Mascara in Noir. She wore Chanel Powder Blush in Love on her cheeks and Chanel Rouge Allure Lasque in Santal on her lips.
Sandra Bullock’s look was created by Angela as well and according to her was an inspiration of Sandra’s happy, free spirited mood. I got a bit of a glam feel to it with an emphasis on her eyes and natural lips so as not to overpower the rest of the look.
Her eyes were a mix of Chanel Silky Eyeshadow Duos in Orient Express and Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Trace. For added drama her eyes were lined with Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner in Voiline which is a deep, rich purple. On her cheeks she sports Chanel Tweed Blush Duo in Tweed Rose and Chanel Rougue Coco Lip Colour in Beige Felin on her lips.
Jennifer Garner’s look was created by makeup Arist Katie Lee and was inspired by Jennifer’s dress which was a nude colour with beads which were pink and silvery. Since Jennifer’s dress was such a nude shade and contrasted lovely with her darker hair, Katie Lee broke out a bolder shade of lip color to add a bit more pop to the look!
On her eyes she’s sporting Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Kaska Beige
On Jens eyes I used CHANEL Quadra Eye Shadow in Kaska Beige and Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner in Expresso. Her eyes were finished up with Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir. Her cheeks were created with a combination of Neutrogena Mineral Sheer Cheek Colours in Apricot, Safe, and Rare Rose (ha who would have thought to see Neutrogena cosmetics on the red carpet) and finally her lips sport Chanel Rouge Cock in Rouge Orage for an intense pink pout.
Cameron Diaz’s look was created by makeup Artist Robin Fredriksz who also wanted to go with an old Hollywood look due to Cameron’s dress style. Heavy emphasis was placed on Cameron’s lips with a bold shade of red.
Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Mystic Eyes and darker peach and gold mixed together from the Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow Quad in Demure created Cameron’s eye look. Her eyes are lined and defined with Chanel Precision Eye Definer in Khaki Dore and finished with a few coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir. And her bold lips sport Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Dragon.
Kate Hudson’s look was created by Makeup Artist Leslie Lopez who’s look was created to compliment the clean, sophisticated look of Kate’s dress.
Kate is actually sporting L’Oreal True Match Foundation in N-3, ha, cool right? Another drugstore moment on the red carpet! Her eyes were created using Chanel Quadra Eye Shadow in Blue Celestes. Her eyes were completed by lining them with Almay Black Eye Pencil and Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir. Chanel Aqualumiere Sheer Colour Lipshine in Malta is a sheer subtle hint of peach that finished up Kate’s completed look!
January Jones was my favorite of the night as hey I’m a headband kinda girl too! I thought the black ribbon they placed around her up swept hair was both fun, elegant, and quite fitting with her dress. Her look was created by Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin who took a fresh approach to the classic red lip you see January sporting.
Her look is probably the simplest of the ones featured here. The glow you see on her skin was created using Le Blanc de Chanel under her base to create that luminous glow from within. On her lips she sports Chanel Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Paris which is a new line launching in March. Her eyes were lined with Chanel Automatic Liquid Eyeliner in Noir and completed with Chanel Intense Eye Pencil in Graphite for the lower eye area. She sports Exceptionnel de Chanel Noir Obscur Mascara for intense, dramatic lashes.
What do you think of these looks created by Chanel?
Anyone of them on your best beauty dressed hit list?
I thought January Jones looked stunning! Kate Hudson looked lovely as well but I wasn’t into her hair.
