Beauty Secrets: Hydrating Dry Under Eyes with Badger Evolving Body Care Massage Oil (Review)
If you’ve been hanging out with the Muse a little while, I know some of you have, you probably recall some of my older Badger Balm reviews. I’m a tad obsessed with the Badger Balm line and have tried nearly everything they offer.
Today I did want to take a second out and review and babble a bit about the Badger Evolving Body Care Massage Oil.
Jump ahead for a beauty secret using it!
One of the most commonly asked questions on my blog is, “What can I do about dry under eyes?” I imagine many people ask the question because I personally rant about it daily so at this point I imagine you all assume I’ve found some cure to this evil plague.
My beauty secret?
Badger Evolving Body Care Massage Oil.
This features rejuvenating herbal extracts & essential rose oil, one of the most healing of all aromatic oils. Badger Evolving Body Care Massage Oil was created as a massage oil to prevent stretch marks and wrinkles. I happen to be here to tell you my personal experience with it.
Here’s the thing.
I’ve come to the conclusion that fine lines, for the most part, basically come out to play whenever eyes are at their driest. My own fine lines look about 100 times worst when my skin is dry, parched, and in need of hydration.
What’s the plan? Of course, the first thing I did when this started happening was head to my nearest posh cosmetic counter and ask after the richest eye cream around. Richer eye cream equals more moisture right? Wrong. Problem with rich eye creams is they aren’t always the cure all for dry under eyes and can cause further problems or at least in my case. After indulging in rich eye cream I started experiencing milia and puffiness, not pretty. After exploring further I finally found some great eye cream that didn’t cause such problems however I was always on the look out for extra hydration. Honestly, I do believe I can never be to moisturized under these eyes.
My quest for more moisture led me to Badger Evolving Body Care Massage Oil and we’ve been the best of friends ever after.
The oil is an organic combination of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, CO2 Extracts of Rosehip, Seabuckthorn Berry, & Calendula, and Essential Oils of Lavender, Rose Otto, & Roman Chamomile. You can use it all over your body but I personal concentrate under my eyes. It’s an herbal lavender scent that’s quite pleasant in my opinion but the real joy is the formula. It comes housed in a pump bottle and one or two drops are all you need to do each eye. Simply smooth on and pat gently after eye cream or you can use on it’s own. I normally use it sans eye cream two times a week and apply before I go to bed. I can’t begin to tell you the difference it’s made in my fine lines simply because my eyes are no longer as dry as they were which makes my fine lines less prominent than they were.
Now you don’t have to limit yourself to using it under your eyes as I’ve been known to smooth it on my dry, patchy cheeks, between my brows where I get flaky skin, and even on knees and elbows.
Overall, it’s truly been a miracle for me, particularly under my eyes which have suffered way too long and were in need of as much hydration as possible. Absolutely adore this stuff! It’s $27 for a large bottle that will simply last you ages and ages.
