Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic Review

Wanna know if you’re a concealaholic? Ok, sit down. Get a pencil. We’ll take the Benefit Concealaholic Quiz.

  • Do you own more than three concealers?

Oh heck to the yes sirree! I own over 20 concealers.

  • Do you refuse to leave the house without concealing?

What? Need you ask? I will NOT leave my casa without concealer, no way, no how.

  • Do you conceal alone?

Yes, because I don’t want anyone to see me without my concealer on.

  • Have you ignored friends to spend quality time with your concealers?

Yes, I pet them, caress them, and tell them how much I love them everyday.

  • Do you conceal more than four times a day?

Ok, let’s not crazy….no. Two times tops.

  • When you look at other people, do you wonder of they’re concealaholics?

Yes all the time and I’m hopeful I’m not alone in my disease.

If you checked three or more of the boxes above good news you’re a concealaholic!

Now it’s your turn! Answer all of the Benefit’s above questions and let me know in the comment box if you’re a concealaholic!

Now jump for my review on the new Benefit Confessions of a Concealaholic Palette.

The Muse likes to think Benefit was thinking of her when they created the new Confessions of a Concealaholic Palette.

What is it?

It’s a palette filled with concealers, eye brighteners, brushes, and just about everything else to look your best. Wake up tired eyes, conceal lids and look your best by using this great little kit.

So here’s the deal.

You know how the Muse goes on and on about the joys of Benefit Lemon Aid and Benefit Boi-ing and…and…and….I admit I go on about some of Benefit’s base products don’t I? But I love them so much I can’t help but spread the joy!

You know what the best part of raving about these products is? The best part is when I get comments or emails to thank me. It totally tickles me when someone shoots an e-mail off to say, “Wow Muse, thanks! I tried Benefit Lemon Aid today and you’re right, it’s incredible.” I swear those are the best times ever. I love hearing how someone enjoyed the product as I much as I did.

Anyway.

What’s this new palette all about?

Well dudes…listen up…

It’s everything great about Benefit housed in a cute little book style (diary actually) palette with a mirror. Inside you’ll find Benefit Boi-ing Concealer in two shades, Benefit Lemon Aid, Benefit Eye Bright, Benefit Erase Paste, and Benefit That Gal.

The idea of getting Lemon Aid plus Boi-ing in the same palette is thrilling as I can recommend you purchase this so you can try all the great items I love from Benefit. All the most popular products that I rave on and on about are right here at your finger tips. Now you don’t have to indulge in separate products because you can get them all.

Sweet right?

Benefit Lemon Aid is a yellow base cream that’s ideal for concealing upper lids. It wakes up tired eyes and creates a nice base for shadows.

Benefit Boi-ing was my HG (holy grail) concealer for years! This is creamy, blends easily, and covers like a dream.

Benefit Eye Bright is a pink cream formula that brightens up your eyes in a flash!

Benefit Erase Paste is when you need to bring the big guns out. This is a super creamy, super pigmented concealer.

And finally Benefit That Gal is a face primer for waking up tired skin.

Oh and by the very way it comes with two dual sided brushes but that’s not the cool part. Get this, the brushes are labeled. God it’s the little things in life that make me happy. Each side of the brush is labeled so you never have to worry about dipping in lemon aid with your boi-ing covered brush. W00t!

The palette also includes a step by step instruction book for how to use each product with diagrams showing the best places to use the products for the best results.

On a side note Benefit Erase Paste and Benefit That Gal aren’t my all around fav products. Sadly, Benefit Erase Paste is a little too much for my older eyes and Benefit That Gal doesn’t work so well on me but aside from that everything else is golden.

Honestly, I LOVE having it all in one place as I will make use of every single product included.

Overall, if you never tried Benefit products before or have been lemming a way to test them all out without dishing alot of buck out, I’d say Confessions of a Concealaholic is the ideal choice. This is $38 and includes EVERYTHING you need to conceal. Absolutely a fantastic palette and a must have in my opinion.

Loves it!

Muse Approval for purchase!

Available from Benefit in February.

  • Laurie

I love this idea – it’s fab! These are some of my favorite Benefit products:) What shade is the erase paste?

    • the Muse

laurie you did it?! YES! me too! Last night as soon as I got home! after talking to you I decided i NEEDED it 😀

  • Laurie

Yep, I did:) And I’m not feeling the guilt – I am pretty excited! Hope it ships soon – I’m thinking it will be earlier than the estimated Mar. 1 arrival.

    • the Muse

WHOA MARCH!? I didn’t hear that! I’m an instant gratification type a girl. I might need moral support while I wait. Let’s get some real chocolate and hold hands while we wait for the UPS man!

heck I feel so much better paying a mortgage of $33 a month rather than shelling out the entire amount in one go 😀 No guilt in mortgaging the makeup!

  • Laurie

I think the ship date is supposedly Feb. 19 – but I have a (wishful) feeling it will be sooner. I’m not cool with the wait either, but the mortgaging of the makeup is a good perk:) Plus – it makes me almost forget I’m paying S+H, which I hate to do normally.

    • the Muse

laurie I love QVC but I think the shipping stinks particularly when I order from the same brand. I can understand that they prob have items that ship from separate places and warehouses but if I order 5 things from Philosophy or whoever and proceed to have to pay shipping on each it really kills me. And that discount of a dollar or two never really makes me happy! anyway totally off rant on you there but yea hate paying S&H!

I sure do hope so but if not it’ll be a nice little v-day gift around feb 19 😀

  • Mandy

That sounds like a great palette :] I’d totally consider getting it when it releases! is the erase paste only for the eyes? Because I remember when I saw it at sephora, all the shades were a bit on the peachy – salmony side.

    • the Muse

mandy you are right def a little salmony. erase paste is known as multitasking for sure. They say use on the sides of the face and blend out so you can pretty much use anywhere to cover anything you want 🙂

  • Lisa Kate

This is totally awesome!! I want!! Especially those brushes!

I need to check Sephora and see if the colors will be too dark for me though. *sigh* I’m all angsty cause concealer is normally way too tan for my skin.

    • the Muse

hey lisa you can combine the two boi-ings as it’s a dark and a light so that will work but not sure if num 2 erase paste will be good…..you’ll have to def check at sephora for a little swatchie and a play 🙂

    • Jennifer

Hi there. I have Erase Paste in #2 that I got when I had a tan. Now, without a tan I cannot imagine using anything lighter than #2 because it is brightening. I think I would look ghostly with #1 and I am fair. I tested #1 at Sephora and it is really light. It looks dark, but once you put it on and smooth you see brightening (no glistening). That is just my experience. I think Nicole Kidman would do fine with #1, but skin like say, Carrie Underwood (the kind of fair I am) is great with #2. I hope that helps:)

  • Gemma

Wow i love all these products from benefit. Iv yet to try that gal so this would be i good set for me. Have you tried that gal Muse?
I think we will be waiting a while in the UK for this, as sugar bomb has only just arrived in stores this week.

    Great review x

    • the Muse

hey gemma 😀 it’s ideal for getting everything at a great price. I have but sadly that gal does nada for me. I think it’s best suited to really pale skin chicas 🙂 I have a review around here some place. That’s not TOO bad as SugarBomb was a Jan release so that isn’t too bad 😀 maybe you’ll get in March!? 😀

      aw thanks hun! hugs!

  • Jessica

I cannot wait for this kit to come out! It has every product I’ve wanted to try from Benefit for a long time now all wrapped up into one! I LOVE the fact it comes with two shades of Boi-ing so I can use it all-year round. Do you find the Lemond Aid prevents creasing?

    • the Muse

it’s perfect Jessica! Just perfect especially if you never tried all these items! ;-D the two shades are also great for mixing and matching to create the perfect shade!

Mmmmmmm I still use UDPP on top of Lemon Aid to be honest so I’d def still use primer 🙂

  • Jasmine

OMG! I am going through an unhealthy concealer phase right now. I just got all the Coastal Scents Camo Quads and This will be MINE! thanks for the heads up Muse 🙂

    • the Muse

ha Jasmine! I’m always in concealer mode 😀 You’re most welcome gorgeous! 🙂 enjoy your CS quad, come back tell us how that is!

    • Jennifer

OMG, I love those creamy quads….the salmon colors are great and they melt under my finger:) The white I love to brighten the inside of my eyes.

    • the Muse

LOL suz you’re one of the blessed few who doesn’t use concealers. We bow to your greatness 😀

  • Marley

I love Lemon Aid too!! I’ve used Erase Paste and Boing, and they’re both nice concealers- my favorite is still the Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer though! Funny story- when I first was looking at Benefit concealers, the Sephora SA kept telling me “Oh, you will love the Bee- Yoing! Bee-Yoing is the best!”- and she was making little sound effects to describe the name. I think it might be part of the reason I bought it.

    • the Muse

omg marley me too how rocking is dream mousse? it’s my new HG!

LOL it reminds me of tigger from winnie the pooh

      BOING BOING!

  • NuNu

I own a single concealer, it’s from MAC and I’ve had it for the past 2 years and it’s still half full. I though that using concealer over my spots and their scars would give me the flawless face seen in magazines, alas, I discovered that was more as a result of Photoshop.
I have since given up concealer. It just slides right off my face anyways T.T
Musey-pie, we miss u on twitter 🙁 I even tweeted u a photo of the Bourjois stand

    • the Muse

um nunu….I HATE to be the one to tell you this but did you look in the mirror lately? hello gorgeous flawless looking chick! You’re perfect! I don’t see anything that needs concealing doll!

OMG YOU DID!? You’re SO SWEET *hugs* I must go check twitter! I’ve just been crazy ass busy so haven’t been on freaking twitter lately especially when I’m addicted to it big time lol! Thank YOU thank YOU thank YOU for thinking of me!

  • Chelsea

This is radder than rad. Concealer is one of those things I cannot live without. Not even for a moment.

The timeliness of this post is spot-on. This morning was a big old rush and I scooped a bunch of makeup into my purse so I could do my face on the way to work. (CAUTION: What follows is extremely disturbing for concealer addicts. Proceed at your own risk.) I discovered halfway to the office that I had not brought my Bobbi Brown color corrector or my Boi-ing. I know. It’s bad. I felt something inside me wither and die, and I’ve been twitchy and neurotic all day, dodging the mirror in the bathroom and staying cloistered in my office.

    • the Muse

me too chelsea can’t live without for sure!

LOLLLLLLL omg you’re so cute! I loved that story and totally understand how you feel :)!!!!!!

  • MC

I am defiantly hauling this. Benefit is my holy grail of concealing and perfecting my less then perfect skin and it has EVERYTHING I love about Benefit..from That Gal to Erase Paste which I use daily. This makes me happy beyond happy!!!

  • Grace Kutney

Just an FYI, this is available from Ulta’s site now. It looks great!!

  • Tracy

erm.. I am quite new in make up and looking for concealer. Is benefit good for Asian skin? I mean after applying benefit, will it look “white-ish”? And erm.. i saw alot of your post is on boo-ing but i search all the products on benefit and couldn’t find them. Did I miss them out?

    • the Muse

tracy not sure what you mean white-ish…did you want it to be white? as it leans towards more nudish. I don’t have one up on boi-ing sadly sorry 🙁

      • Tracy

:'( no.. i dont want to look white. I am asian and have a fair yellow skin, but wheneva I tried to put on foundation/ concealer, my face become white. Wheneva I took pictures, my face look white and not yellow or nude. Loooks like ghost luring around.. T.T this has made me unable to wear make up. And i did not wear it thick. A thin layer would also comes out with dat result. I even tried to wear 2 shades darker of foundation; T.T but same result also!!

        • sweetcareers

Tracy, perhaps the white-ish cast in photos is due to some ingredients in the makeup used as sunscreen, such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. These can sometimes reflect light in photos making you appear especially white. I heard, but not tried, there’s a Makeup Forever product called Full Cover #6 that’s quite yellow. I heard about it from kokolaroo on YouTube. She uses it as concealer. Maybe that might help?

  • Chelsea

Oh my gosh! This is amazing!! I must have this =) I hope it will be available at Sephora.. and I’ve never seen your blog before but I’m going to check it out right now! I’m always on the search for a great under-eye concealer. Thanks for the amazing update!

    • the Muse

hi chelsea welcome to my blog 😀 glad to have you as a reader and thanks for commenting! It’s not out yet, will be shortly but I’m sure Sephora will get it 🙂

Aw you’re most welcome! I am too, always looking out for a fabulous under eye concealer myself!

  • Renata

That’s it, Muse! I’m done reading your reviews! In 10 minutes I’m convinced that I NEED this palette and some things from Bobby Brown Cabana Corals.

Of course I’m joking, but seriously, you’re killing me here!!! 😀

But I have to say I like Erase Paste better than Boi-ing, mainly because of the ‘older eyes’ (I have them too, almost 40 years old eyes).

And I don’t have That Gal, but I got a sample and loved it. Well, I love every item in this pallete (except for Eye Bright, I haven’t used this). For $38 is a good deal!

Thank you! And you know I thank you for many things. 😉

    • the Muse

LOL renata 😀 I take the $$ right from your hand hahahaha *hugs*

omg are you? I had no idea. I’m getting there myself! erase paste is great but a bit too much for me, creases ack! But I’ve grown to love since using it. bright eye is nice, good for the corner of the eye where shadows develop 🙂

You’re MOST welcome it’s my pleasure Hugs!

  • Nia

Do you own more than three concealers?
Uhm, my lawyer told me not to be too specific with this question *cough*

Do you refuse to leave the house without concealing?
Does taking the rubbish out as leaving the house? If not, then I never leave the house with at least a bit of eye brightener.

    Do you conceal alone?
    Yes, normally I do.

Have you ignored friends to spend quality time with your concealers?
Well, I consider my concealers my friends, so no, never.

Do you conceal more than four times a day?
Nope, if once is not enough… I only reapply if I change my makeup for the evening.

When you look at other people, do you wonder of they’re concealaholics?
No, but more so if they applied their concealer badly. Which leads to a trip to the ladies to see how mine is holding up 😉

Muse, which colour is the erase paste in the confession-box?
    Have a nice weekend 🙂

  • Robyn

NEEDS this! boing i love which shades are they ? stupid but since my auntie gave me it in shade 2 and it was to dark so i mix it with a lighter barbera daly one and im to scared to try the lightest boing in case the colour doesnt work so i continue to mix 2 all the time

always wanted to try erase paste hope this comes to the uk soon

  • Jakeline

This is kit looks kinda AMAZING! I was considering the Realness of Concealness from Benefit, but for 6 bucks more, this is definitely the better deal! Yay cant wait and also where can I pre-order it?

    • the Muse

hey jake this is def the better of the two 🙂

No pre order but it’ll be available shortly at Benefit and I believe Ulta already has it!

  • sonia

Hello Muse!!! I’m going to try this one!! looks great…and since we have similar skin eyes…I think will be so good for me!!! lov ya!!!! so happy with this review!!!

    • the Muse

hey sonia! 🙂 I think you’ll like it. Many of the base products from benefit are AWESOME! and here they are all together so you can save $$!

Aw thanks 😀 so glad you likey HUGS!

  • Joi

Wow i cant wait to try this product, i’ve been wanting to try every concealer product from Benefit bec. i heard a lot of good reviews about Boing & Lemon Aid. BTW, this is my 1st time here and I just want you to know that I love your blog a lotttt!!! 😉 Some makes me laugh & wanna keep on reading! Well all i can say is finally found a beauty blog that makes me want to read and not fall asleep! Thanks Muse for the reviews, updates and also for being sweet & funny 🙂

    • the Muse

hey joi it’s a great way to save you $$! it has EVERYTHING that’s great about benefit! Aw thanks *hugs* so happy to have you as a reader!

Aw shucks your comment made my day! So glad you are enjoying my babblings!

      Hugs!

  • yuki

I own 3 concealers, I refuse to leave the house without concealing (occasionally I do when I’m too lazy^^), I put on my concealer in front of my sis n mom, I don’t ignore my frens to spend time with my concealers, I conceal the most twice a day, and the answer to the last question is YES!! I always wonder how much concealer they put to have such a flawless face! hahaha… Mayb they are lucky to be born with good complexion…

I love Benefit… their concept is sooo cute~~

    • the Muse

hey yuki! I own a slew and feel same cannot leave the house without.

LOL thanks for sharing your answers 😀 Perhaps they are born with it but perhaps it’s benefit concealing it all 😀

  • Karli

Oh, yay! I’ve been waiting to try like…everything in this palette.
But! I do have a question.
I’m pale (with pink undertones). And I mean REALLY pale. Almost translucent, really.

How would these shades work for someone like me ? (Because in pictures, the colors seem far too dark for me.)
Would I just be better off buying full sizes in my own shade (if they carry my shade)?

    • the Muse

mmm karli it might not work so fab. The lighter Boi-ing yes but erase paste leans towards being salmon in some cases and that might be so fab on your skin. It might be best to head in store, sephora, or a benefit counter, and having a little swatch to see if the shades are suitable as they MAY be too dark for such white skin.

      Hope this helps!

  • Betty

    Hi Muse!

I’ve been following your blog for the past month and I am so in love with it! I think I’m visiting your site more often than MUA. hahahaha. Your reviews are so awesome and I wanna thank you for exposing me to the Skinfood line (I ran out and bought the same stuff as you did after reading the reviews ^-^) My skin has never been this soft and clear before^-^

Anyway, regarding the benefit concealaholic, omg, I WANT. I’ve always wanted to try all their concealers and this is so perfect.

    • the Muse

betty omg how wonderful! do you have the whole line? I swear it’s made my skin perform normally!!!!!!!!! 😀

and thank you, thank you so much! you’re comments mean the world to me 😀 I appreciate them great! *hugs*

I agree, I know so many people that have wanted to indulge in all three concealers but always scared to do…and now you can get them ALL in one place, how rocking is that? 😀

Thanks again for your lovely comment and do tell me more about your skin! So excited it’s working for you! I can’t gush enough about it 🙂

      • Betty

Awwwwww you’re so sweet ^-^ I have the toner, serum, and gel cream. I actually really like the toner. It absorbs so quickly!

My skin’s dry and sensitive and when it’s too dry, it itches like craaaazy. I’m so obsessed with this brand and am waiting for the salmon eye cream to be shipped to me. hehehe. Another one of your recs. I’ll let you know how well that one works when it gets here!

        • the Muse

hey betty!!!!!!! aw shucks *hugs* I love love the line. It really absorbs quickly 😀 feels so refreshing! Awww I’m not sensitive but totally understand tight and dryness 🙁 sigh. Also a good rec for this is a good sleeping mask! I find sleeping masks really help 😀

Stop back and tell me how you like the salmon concealer? or did you get the eye cream? oops sorry!

Looking forward to hearing back! 🙂

  • Ally_D

I’m such a sucker for kits and Benefit, so a Benefit kit might just send me over the edge. I love Lemon-Aid and Boi-ing, and I get on OK with That Gal, so I can’t wait till it hits the UK. Fingers crossed it won’t be too long.

Oh, you mentioned that the Boi-ing is in a light shade and a dark. Do you know if it’s 01+02 or 02+03? I am very fair – I could make 01+02 work but I’d struggle with 02+03.

    Thanks

    • the Muse

me too ally 😀 I’m an OK with that Gal too, it’s not my favorite benefit product. I sure hope you guys get it soon 😀

      it’s 1 and 2 🙂 and 02 on erase paste!

      I hope this helps ally!

  • pavlina

ugh. This must be hate on Pavlina day. Thanks Benefit for offering a palette with the shades light and lighter! grrrrr. 🙂

You could have been mine, but now you’ll have to be someone else’s. Oh well.

    • the Muse

hey pavlina 😀 I’m a wondering if Benefit will release it in two shade selections?! Must get deets on that!

    • the Muse

quite well alexis although I’ve found as I got older I can’t use erase paste, it creases a bit for me and it’s a tad too thick.

    • the Muse

alexis yes particularly younger eyes will be able to experience great blending from it 🙂

  • Debra Cooper

I wear some concealer everyday and will not be seen without it. the first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is apply concealer. It is my absolute must have product.

  • Jenn

I was very happy to read your post (I AM a conceal-a-holic) until I realized that due to my extremely fair skin, and Benefit’s “one size fits all” mentality when it comes to kits, this would be a wasted purchase for me as I would only be able to use 1 or 2 of the products, at most. I have written to Benefit over the years begging them to take into consideration that not everyone out there has a yellow-based, medium complexion but I have never even received a “thanks for your email…we’ll take it into consideration” response from them. I wish someone would go to bat for us super fair-skinned chicks with Benefit (among others) so we could get in on all the good products they make…sigh. I am REALLY geting tired of being discriminated against becuase my skin is so pale….trust me, it wasn’t my choice to be this pale!

    • the Muse

aw jenn sorry to hear it! Totally understand as many readers complain about the lack of shades when it comes to Benefit! Have you tried the Dainty Doll series from Jelly Pong Pong? it was LE but it’s been on E-bay here and there, I also have a review up! This could be suitable for your very fairy skin! 🙂 I think this is EXACTLY what you seek 🙂

  • karitina

always conceal to show the real beauty we can be
    been doing since highschool
    differnt issues now
    also love benefit
sute, kits are great.very girly stuff they are the bomb

    • the Muse

hey karitina me too! def need to conceal 🙂 been doing so for ages and prob can’t leave the house without doing so 🙂

  • Lori

I use two concealers regularly, and most definitely will not leave the house without them on. I probably own about 4 or 5, but I am prety much fairest of the fair, so many are just too dark for me, and these are two shades that work for me. I would love, love, love to try this set. That Gal sounds like it would be good for me. Alas, I don’t even wear liquid foundation, but rather mineral, because they have all been too dark for me. I am sure I would adore this set.

    • the Muse

hey lori! it’s a really great little set and worthy of a pick up 😀 your fair skin might not take too well to everything in it but that gal will prob be a fab one for you 😀

  • Brianna Bennett

I have been using the same concealer for years because it works but I am now noticing a few spots (sun damage) surfacing. They are barely visible except to my scrutinous gaze but I am beginning to think I may need a concealer with a different kind of converage. My skin has always been dry and at 40 it still looks great; unfortunately this is what makes the spots more noticeable. Will this Benefit kit work for me? I am concerned about texture and sun protection, too. I do wear sunblock every day but I want extra care now.
    thanks!

  • Lori

Oh, and I definitely conceal alone, and am always checking others out to see if their concealer is noticeable… lol. I am a concealaholic.

    • the Muse

LOL Lori, here’s your membership you’re officially part of Concealer Club, only rule of concealer club is never talk about concealer club :-D!

  • sara barnes

i am a true concelalaholic i own no lie at least 85 types of concelers pots pans sticks and tubes i own um all diffrent shade ? yep from fair to dark matte to luminise i have them and tried them not to mention from free to up to 40 i love this kit and cant wait to get my hands on one

    • the Muse

sara my soul mate! LOL whoa! I have a ton too but not 85 damn girl! 😀

      • sara barnes

lol i lie i counted i have 42 in a half the half is cuz i split a tube with a friend

        • the Muse

LOL sara damn! I think I have around 20-25 I’m currently rotating :-D!

          • sara barnes

i think i need to start a 12step for ppl like us LOL

          • the Muse

LOL sara yes indeed too true 🙂 intervention time!

  • Vanessa Romero

I guess I should give this a try because I’m still waiting on a good night’s sleep to erase those darn circles from under my eyes.

    • the Muse

LOL me too vanessa! I always need more and I’m utterly lacking so good concealer helps me look like I had 10 hours instead of the 4 I really had!

  • Hanne

Definitively a concealaholic. But I have an incredible number of concealers, because it’s almost impossible to find the right color. They’re always to yellow.

    • the Muse

hanne but yellow is always good for erasing dark circles 😀 But I hear you many are very yellow based!

      • Hanne

He he. I pretty much need a concealer for everything BUT dark circles. I am so excited to try this.

        • the Muse

hanne my dark circles aren’t too, too bad either but def need for fine lines and puff 😀

  • Christina

I guess I am a concealaholic!! If it makes up for it, I use a bit of concealer where I need it and a bit of finishing powder and then I’m done!

I’d much rather be a concealaholic than a foundationaholic!!

So what is this “Beauty reward from Benefit”that you speak of in the TB.com email?? 🙂

  • ZOEY

CONCEALER /CONCEALER,NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!!! NEVER FACE THE POPULATION,EVEN AT HOME ,DARK CIRCLES/ARE BANISHED FOR LIFE. THANK YOU FROM MY FASANESTA FACE.!!!!!IEEV

  • Patricia

oh, yeah, I’ve been a concealaholic for more years than you might guess. It has always been my #1 go to item. Even when I go to Pilates early in the morning, the ONLY thing I put on my face is concealer. I have allergies and fair skin. It is a must!

    • the Muse

hey patricia! Bobbi Brown claims you’ll need little to know foundation when your eyes are concealed properly 🙂 so you’re def doing the right thing with a bit of concealer you’re good to go!

  • Ashley.Marie

■Do you own more than three concealers?
Yes. Green, Yellow, Skin Tone, Darker Skin Tone, Lighter Skin Tone..

■Do you refuse to leave the house without concealing?
Oh of course!! It’s the first thing I do in the morning strait out of bed to the mirror…then brush my teeth.

    ■Do you conceal alone?
Nope. My cat stares at me thinking ” what is with this crazy human and why does she do this every morning ”

■Have you ignored friends to spend quality time with your concealers?
    Well..
I’m gonna plead the 5th on this one.

■Do you conceal more than four times a day?
I’m not gonna lie..I probably have.

■When you look at other people, do you wonder of they’re concealaholics?
I do. I also wonder what color underwear they have on but you know..doesn’t everyone?

    • the Muse

LOL Ashley! I like the cat part 😀 hehe! LOLLLLLLLL very good replies Ashley, very good 😀 pssttt I wonder what color underwear people have on too! shhh! between us k?

  • Mariesol

OMG I AM! I never thought I was until I answered these questions & realized I am! LoL This kti looks amazing! You have to love Benefit! *Beauty Reward from Benefit* ???

    • the Muse

LOL Mariesol! I always knew and wasn’t even in denial about my addiction 😀

I dunno…?? Not sure why Total Beauty put their was an reward I guess they meant the actual product was a reward to concealer junkies!?

  • celeste

In fact I have heard a lot good about benefit concealer and foundation. I have been longing and still finding the good and suitable foundation for myself all this while. I think now benefit would be my choice to for for a try.

    • the Muse

def worthy of a try celeste 🙂 they make some GREAT base items in my experience!

  • Katie

My name is Katie, and I’m a Concealaholic. I would love to give this set a try!

  • Heather

I am So a concealoholic and proud of it. I wear it all the time, to bed, and refresh it when I get up in the morning, through work all day and other times depending on the situation. I love Benefit’s products and I don’t think its necessarily a bad thing to be a concealaholic! If anything, it means you’re on top of your game, always lookin fresh as a daisy:)

  • Valerie

Mea culpa! I’ve got lots of different concealers, and they all seem to work great in the store, but when I get them home…..argh!

    • the Muse

oh I have the same prob valerie! Alot end up in my makeup grave yard 😀

  • Paula

You cannot possibly understand how badly I need this palette! I am in the early yet have-waited-much-too-long stage of being a concealaholic! I still have not found the product that is just right for me, well, until now. Gotta love Benefit!

    • the Muse

paula I hear ya 😀 concealaholics NEED a good concealing palette 🙂 Be careful concealism tends to turn into an uncontrollable disease as time goes on 🙂

      hehe!

  • Maggie

I finally just scored this at Ulta after stalking five different stores each day during my lunch break (because I’m pathetic). Besides almost sobbing with joy, I’m pretty sure I was already petting it and giggling in the store, all the while freaking out fellow customers and sales people alike. I know I could have ordered it online, but that would mean that I would need to compulsively check shipping (totally agreed on your mailman stocking post, I am also an instant gratification girl)! So happy, thanks for the wonderful review as usual.

    • the Muse

LOL maggie NOT at all pathetic 😀 just very persistent 🙂 smart girl! LOL You sound fab maggie you’ll fit in with us all wonderfully well here at Musings LOL! 😀 Enjoy and update us how you likey!

  • michelle

the best concealer I’ve ever used is Mary Kays concealer pen…never leave home without it.

  • Melissa

Let’s see-There’s the concealer for roscea, the one for pimples, the one to even skin tone, the under-eye concealer, etc.
    Yes, I’m needy ….

  • Lizzie

I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!
I wish I had a credit card so I could get it online :(:(:( sadly I am underage. HELP!

    • the Muse

Hi Lizzie wish I could help. Maybe ask your mom or someone to order for you? or head to sephora and purchase with cash 😀

    • the Muse

yes lina I do think even the lightest might be a tad too dark hun!

  • Mrs. Budz

When I went to the beauty store, I wanted to get the Erase Paste, but was stuck on 01 or 02. I have dark circles under my eyes (which I still can’t conceal well! Any ideas, Muse?? I have been using Stay, Don’t Stray, but I don’t think it’s concealing well), so I wasn’t sure about the color…The woman who helped me said Erase Paste already has a brightener so perhaps you may be able to use 01?

This kit sounds and looks awesome. That Gal face primer didn’t work for me either … I bought the stick, kept using it, but I didn’t see anything new. :-/ Oh well. I’m thinking about buying the kit, just so I can try out the Erase Paste & the Lemon Aid I keep reading about!

    • the Muse

perhaps Bobbi Brown Concealer Palette mrs budz? quite pigmented. I use 01 in the erase paste.

That gal doesn’t work much for me either 😀

  • Chasity

Hi Muse! So, I know I am late on this but was looking at this set at Sephora the other day and searched your site for a review…
My question is about the Lemon-Aid–how exactly do you use it? I’ve read that UDPP is your HG eye primer so do you use the 2 items together? Or do you use one or the other based on your need? Thanks!

    • the Muse

hi chasity sorry for the delayed reply. I do indeed. First apply lemon aid and wait a few for it to set and proceed to follow up with udpp 🙂 and after that shadow application! hope this helps!

  • Silke

Hi, Sorry to bump this up, but i have a question…

Because of the packaging, isn’t there a risk the products will dry out really fast? I mean there doesn’t seem to be a fully closing lid… I’m a bit worried about this :s

    Thanks in advance!

    • the Muse

silke mine so far is good….still creamy…but yup packaging could prob effect the products at some point but so far I’m good thankfully.
