Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals Review & Swatches Bobbi Brown Nectar Shimmer Brick Review & Swatches
Ahh Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals….possibly the most thrilling collection to release this Spring in the Muse’s humblest opinion. Coral, peaches, oranges, etc…seem to really suit my complexion and I absolutely adore them so of course I’m all about the new Cabana Corals Collection.
Wonderful job as always Bobbi.

If nothing else please for the love of makeup get yourself the new Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Nectar ($38). Absurdly beautiful with a warm array of corals, oranges, and peaches. It’s stunning peeps and it’s yearning to grace your collection. It can easily be used on eyes and cheeks. You can highlight with it or if you’re daring enough go ahead and use it as a blush as it’s pigmented enough to work as such. It gives cheeks a kiss of coral that irresistible.
I played around with a few of the shades released with the collection but tonight or something this weekend I need to hit up my counter because I seriously need more goodness.
Another golden pick is the new Bobbi Brown Pot Rogue Cabo Coral. Cabo Coral is a dirty coral shade which creates a great peachy base to place your Nectar Shimmer Brick on top. I love the Pot Rogues as they work on lips and cheeks and supply long lasting, pigmented color.
I also got the chance to play around with some of the new Bobbi Brown Metallic Lip Colors, Bobbi Brown Lip Colors, and Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Glosses. I have to say some of these color are just popping. So fresh and fabulous for Spring!
Bobbi Brown Metallic Lip Color Coral Reef is a sheer, nude shade of coral which I’m wearing in my pic. It’s one of those your lips but better shades that looks natural yet stunning on. Bobbi Brown Lip Color California Coral is a deep matte coral that’s very fitting and complimenting with the collection. It’s a straight to the point coral that flatters a peachy or coral blush perfectly.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss Sunset Beach pairs up nicely with Coral Reef Metallic Lip Color (I have both on in my picture) and delivers a pop of shimmering coral to your pout. And finally Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss in Coral Sand is a sandy golden beige for a warmer diversion from the corals.
For my photo below I used Bobbi Brown Pot Rogue in Cabo Coral on my cheeks. I followed up with a sweep of Bobbi Brown Nectar Shimmer Brick on both cheeks. On my eyes I used MAC Penny Shadestick and took the top most color of the Nectar Shimmer Brick blending it into the base of the shadestick. I also used a tiny bit of a gold sparkle in my crease to contrast with the coral of my shadow. I complete the look with Coral Reef Lipstick and Sunset Beach Shimmer Gloss.
Overall, Bobbi Brown Cabana Corals has my heart. It’s possibly my most favorite Spring 2010 Collection to date. I think both warmer and cooler tones can find at least one item in the collection that will flatter and delight their complexion. It’s one of those timeless yet fun collections that keeps makeup fresh and beautiful.
Very Muse Approved for purchase with one minor rant. I’d have loved to seen a promo image with a look. I love the Bobbi Brown models so I’d have adored a look with these shades. Wouldn’t that be killer?
P.S. Just a brief note. The light bulb in my makeup room is really killing the photos of my swatches. Sorry about that. I need to get up there and change it.
Available now from Bobbi Brown.
