Latest Obssession: Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel Review

Have I told you lately how much I adore Korres Japanese Rose Shower Gel? Oh it’s simply lovely and I thinks you need some for yourself!

Jump!

I dunno how they did it but Korres took my greatest scent love, roses, and made it into this beautiful cocktail that has the very essence of a velvety red rose with an underlay of tart lemon.

Korres describes the scent as that of rose buds but I get so much more from it. It does indeed contain a strong base note of rose but it also leans towards a slightly fruity, fun side. Romance is strong in the fragrance but it seems like a tiny sparkle of lemon makes it’s way into the blend and morphs the rose from a serious floral and takes it down a notch to a fun, sparkling fruity, tart rose concoction that’s positively addicting. Absolutely obsessed with the way this smells and so wishing they had a fragrance to follow up with!

Although it’s a shower gel I’ve taken to washing my hair with it once or twice as I do so love how it leaves my locks smelling sweet and rosy! Can’t help myself. Korres makes a very nice shower gel plus you get a big old bottle for under $20, loves the budget price. The formula doesn’t dry my skin out and the scent lingers on long after my shower with a quick follow up with body lotion in Japanese Rose, I’m good to go all day!

Overall, if you’re a fan of rose blends this should take that love to the next level. It’s an interesting and unique fragrance experience I’m sure you’ll enjoy if you love the romantic smell of a red rose.

Loves it!

I’m not a big fan of rose scented things, but I do love the Almond scent by Korres. I got the shower gel and body lotion and I love them. I’ll have to check and see if they have the jumbo size in Almond.

I took a whiff of this at the Korres flagship store while holidaying in Singapore recently….wonderful scent, I’d say, but was pretty pricey, and didn’t get it. REGRETS, REGRETS now…..
