L’Oreal Go 360 Deep Cream Cleanser Review
Grrr L’Oreal Go 360 Clean Cleanser testing is so not going well. Today I’ll be reviewing the L’Oreal Go 360 Deep Cream Cleanser.
First off some minor confusion seems to have cropped up over which cleanser you should choose. All of the cleansers according to details on Target are for normal, combination skin types. This isn’t detailed on the bottles just as read from details on Target’s website and CVS. The only one that is different would be the sensitive skin formula, which obviously is made for sensitive types.
From my own personal experience with the formulas I felt it was broken up best as follows.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Cream Cleanser (Pink) Bottle
This I felt was more for dry skin due to it’s cream formula.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Facial Cleanser (Green)
This I felt was more for normal/combination types although the formula was so terribly drying I’m positive oily skin types will feel right at home using it.
L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Exfoliating Scrub (Orange)
Since this is a grainy formula I felt it best for dry skin as the scrubby bits should do well to exfoliate dry, flaky skin.
Now I’ve already reviewed L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Facial Cleanser which has successfully created a mess of my skin. I’m terribly dry and flaky after using it a full week and it’s unlikely I’ll go back to trying it. I handed it off to my sister, who’s oily, and she proceeded to say it made her skin feel like plastic after use, not in a good way either.
I’ve been testing out L’Oreal Go 360 Cleanser Deep Cream Cleanser most of last week and this weekend. I was kinda hopeful the cream cleanser would do better on my suddenly dry skin thanks to my test out with the regular version.
Have a jump to find out.
Warning.
Most of the formulas contain menthol however it seems very much alive and kicking in the cream formula. I’m not sensitive by any means but this is slightly irritating on my skin. Also don’t get it into your eyes, it burns fiercely. I like the cooling sensation but I mistakenly tried this out with my Clarisonic Skincare Brush and proceeded to come out of the experience red, splotchy, and weeping slightly in pain. It felt like it made my skin raw. After that experience I stuck to using the scrublet it came with.
Now as I explained I was hopeful the cream version would be soothing on my skin and offer some hydration where the last formula failed. But no luck, it too dried me out even further. I’m having little success with these. After reading a bit around the word on the street is they do not contain soap but do contain harsh detergents which could account why they are simply stripping my skin and making it a huge flaky mess.
The cream formula smells wonderfully fresh and clean with a hint of mint. It’s cooling on the skin due to the menthol in the mix which is nice so long as you scrub gently and don’t go to town on your skin as that’s when it can become slightly irritating or at least that was the case for me.
Again I felt like this would be suited to oily skin rather than the normal/combination it’s supposed to be for. The scrublet remains an genius little tool in my humblest offering a soft, exfoliating scrub that works the formula into a later on the face and really gets a good deep clean.
Sadly, I still come out of the experience with dry, stripped skin though. So far my testing with L’Oreal Go 360 Cleansers hasn’t been working out as great as I had hoped for but in some ways I am not surprised considering how almost all drugstore skincare ends up drying me out in someway.
No success yet but I still have one more to try! I’m waiting for my skin to calm down now as I definitely did some damage testing the first two bottles.
So far I feel like the scrublet is a genius idea, the price of the cleansers is very reasonable, and just the idea behind the product is fabulous but all this doesn’t count for the fact that it’s drying my skin out like a desert without water.
Have you tried L’Oreal Go 360 Cleansers yet?
Do share your experience as from what I’ve read people are having some great success with it but sadly I don’t fall into that group.
