Sana Pore Vacuumer Hot Gommage Review
So your nose is ridden with blackheads and you need a way to clear that gunk away right?
What you need is hot, Charlie’s Angel type chicks with flame throwers to vacuum those evil suckers out.
Shrug.
I dunno that’s what Sana told me I needed.
Jump!
Sana is a Japanese brand which produces several sub brands including the Excel Cosmetic line. The collection features many gimmicky skin care items and makeup bits and bobs. I say gimmicky because some of Sana’s products are just too go to be true. You may recognize the brand if you’re 1. Japanese 2. Just Asian 3. Love Japanese products or 4. You remember my review of the Sana Hiaruronsan Collection.
Needless to say Sana makes some great stuff but indeed some of products are a tad on the gimmick side of the fence and don’t work. For example the new Sana Pore Vacuumer Hot Gommage leans towards the gimmicky.
Products like this are very poplar in Asia and I’ve tried my fair share of them. What is it?
Well…
Basically it’s a heated scrub for your nose which you rub on. As you rub the product heats up and supposedly proceeds to do astounding tricks by opening pores and whisking away blackheads. Ohhhh, Ahhh!
I personally don’t believe it really opens up my pores with the little heat it produces. If you’ve used the Biore self heat masks before this is basically the same sort of formula but meant for your nose. The heating action is very brief so in that time I doubt it’s opening up and whisking away my stubborn blackheads, call me a skeptic.
Now the product is meant for the sides of your nose or as they refer to it the wings of your nose. This is a good thing as a majority of my blackheads reside here. But meh it sadly does nothing for these or the really stubborn ones on the end of my nose.
Overall, I actually love the product as I like the heated sensation of scrubbing my nose but it’s a mere placebo effect where I am convincing myself it’s doing something when in fact it’s not. If anything at all it does mattify my nose which is sometimes a tad oily along the sides and I feel like it actually works a treat as a prep prior to using a nose strip.
It retails for 9,45 yen (around 10 bucks USD) which is exactly what I paid for it however it’s about and around the Internet for $14.99 and above. You can grab it at Sasa for retail though.
It’s worth a try in my opinion. Kinda a silly fun product to keep around. And who knows if you’re pores are less stubborn than my own it might actually work!
