Skin Food Peach Sake Perfect Concealer Review and Swatches

Skin Food Peach Sake Perfect Concealer 9

Korean brand, the Skin Food, continues to weave it’s magic spell around the Muse. I’m totally a fool for this line at the moment and I’m already looking into purchasing some more.

I’ve been using the Skin Food Peach Sake Perfect Concealer for the last few weeks and must say it’s a likey.

Have a jump!

Sadly, no, it does not smell like peach. Ha was that your first thought? I was kinda hopeful.

Skin Food Peach Sake Perfect Concealer is a tiny little tube of joy to conceal dark circles, fine lines, and other misery that may plague your under eye area. The formula is richly pigmented…as in big time…as in a little goes a super long way. Beware if you do pick this up because it sports crazy concealing powers.

It’s a creamy texture and nicely moisturizing but be sure to prep and prime well before use as I did see a tiny bit of creasing after use because my eyes were so dry. Truly it’s one of the better concealers I’ve had the pleasure of using simply because it offers such great coverage.

The tube is fairly cheap if purchased within Korean but it is available on E-bay for around $15 which I also deem reasonable even if it is over retail price.

If you’re suffering from crazy dark circles I highly suggest this. It has just enough salmon/peach color to diminish and conceal dark circles although dark skin babes can’t benefit as the concealer is only available in two shades.

Overall, loves it! It isn’t HG (holy grail) material for me because I (can’t believe I’m saying this) think it’s actually a little bit TOO much concealer for me but I’d say on days I’m only working on 4 hours of sleep this could come in handy!

Loves it!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. hey – i’m thinking about buying this from yesstyle – have you ordered from them before?

    • the Muse

hey melissa Yes Asia and Yes Style are fantastic sites, they ship fast and in most cases free and have a wide variety of great goodies. 😀

  • Mandy

this sounds like a great concealer! maybe in a couple of months 😛 i just got the salmon concealer from skinfood and have yet to open it :X

lol too much concealer. didn’t even think that was possible!

    • the Muse

mandy you’re gonna LOVE the salmon concealer it’s great!

      LOL I know right?!

  • imprompturoses

Agree Muse — I have this too & I think it’s too much concealer as well. I figure since my circles/scars aren’t that bad, I might as well put less not more on my face.

    • the Muse

hey roses right?! It’s WAY pigmented! a bit too pigmented for me. but damn hides EVERYTHING!

  • suz

I love Skinfood products!! but I never buy concealers nor do I need them * thank god*

  • Nikkiz.

Hi Muse! I haven’t tried this but I’ve tried Skin Food’s Peach Sake BB Cream! It’s great too and perfect for those with oily skin unlike other BB Creams (not that I’ve tried a lot like you).

    • the Muse

hey nikkiz! I like the PS BB for Summer wearing! It really does a fab job of keeping my skin from looking like a mirror :_D

  • Robin English

    Hi Muse,
This caught my interest! It the swatch #1 Light Beige? I might need a tube of instant sleep too 🙂

  • Ceriene

I looove Skinfood. Love love love the brand. Their Black Sugar Scrub Face wash won me over, as well as their Peach Sake toner.

I only recently tried their Aloe Sun BB cream SPF 20+, and it’s a HG product for me. It’s a 3 in 1 product (Sheer/Med coverage foundation, moisturizer and sunscreen), and I absolutely love the light feel, and the way it smooths out uneven skin hues without feeling heavy or looking cakey. That’s one product I recommend you try, Muse, if you haven’t already. 😀

The concealer looks interesting. I might have to go try the sampler in store. 😀 My dark circles are the bane of my existence, so hopefully this concealer conceals without being cakey. Thanks for the review!

    • the Muse

hey ceriene I’m a fan too, good stuff. I like the Aloe BB but it’s not my HG, I lean towards Shills and Innisfree for my BB HG’s 🙂 I think this will work fab at concealing dark circles! It’s REALLY pigmented!

  • Gemma

    Hey Muse
I recieved peach sake pore surum in the post today, it smells delish. Its a shame all the products in the line don’t have the lovely scent.

    • the Muse

gemma I know right? 🙁 I wish everything smelled like it’s namesake! A friend and I were just discussing how “fresh” the products are as some smell like alcohol imho! But regardless everything from the shop has been doing wonders for my skin. Update me on how the serum is?

  • Angie Twe

    Hey Muse!

    I bought this ytd, finally!

And I’m loving it! This really covers up red marks well. and my dark circles.

  • Tan

Can it covers my blackheads on my nose well? My nose is very oily… =)

    • the Muse

mm not sure tan. I use concealer under eyes and no where else 😀 it’s really pigmented so worth a try!

  • Clara

Hey! I was wondering what shade of that concealer you bought. Do you know the differenced between the two shades? I’m currently using NC30 studio finish concealer, but since i’ve gotten lighter, i need to find another one, and this looks promising. Could you help me out?
    Thanks 🙂

    • the Muse

hi clara the lightest shade. I can’t really help with color selection, sorry. I don’t wear mac foundation and I’m never really sure of a good match up for foundation/concealer for certain mac foundation types, it’s difficult to say as everyone is different with tones and such. It’s a tough call to just match up a shade on the internet for you without having every seen your tone plus I wouldn’t even be good at it if I seen your photo or even in person 😛 I’m def not an MUA when it comes to tones and color selections and such 😀 I’m sorry. I did take the lightest shade for myself and think it works nicely.

  • sheLLey

hai muse….i want to ask..which one do u like better beetwen peach sake and salmon concealer from skinfood??i need it for my pathetic under eye..thanx

  • alex

hi muse, i actually just ordered the salmon concealer in #2. sadly it doesnt completely hide my dark circles. im wondering if skinfood’s #2 is universal for all its products?

    • the Muse

not as far as I know alex…as I have BB creams in #2 and they aren’t like the dark circle shade.

  • Jasmine
