Steal It: Victoria’s Secret Pout Review and Swatches
Morning!
Whatcha up today? Ok, word to world, I am VERY behind on comments. Just wanted you to know I’m replying as quick as I can! Thanks for talking to me, always totally makes my day to hear what you guys are thinking of new collections and just what’s going on in your lives. Happy Days!
I wanted to tell you that Victoria’s Secret has all the Pout Collection on sale. Yeaaaahhh baby! Actually I didn’t know about it but one of my reader’s, Dina (oh hai Dina!), e-mailed me so I raced over to see what the word was.
And indeed all on sale.
Sheesh they just introduced this stuff and now it’s on sale? WTH? Well good times for me because I grabbed a few bits and bobs, currently debating with myself if I need more.
Check out the haulage after the jump!
So everything you see here was $3 to $3.50 a pop…obscene right? How crazy is it to mark stuff down that you got in stock a few months ago? But I like said good for me because I liked the line anyway after trying one the glosses a while back ago.
This is just a quickie review of the products I snagged but I do have a full review of the Victoria’s Secret Shiny Pout Lip Gloss if you want to read that.
Oh btw before we get to the swatches and such. The line is on sale in store only, online it’s still very much retail price.
So here’s the deets.
As I mentioned I already reviewed the Victoria’s Secret Shiny Pout Lip Gloss for you in a prior post so I won’t go into any great detail about these. I got two shades which look fab for Spring. I wish they had more of a shade selection but it was slim pickings so maybe I’ll head to another VS to see what I can find. I got Watermelon and Pink Sugar. Watermelon is a pink coral and Pink Sugar is a bubblegum pink.
I also got two shades of the Victoria’s Secret Pretty Pout Lipstick and Primer. This has a fliptop in the lid which includes a tiny mirror and a lip primer. The lip primer isn’t anything to get too excited about but it does create a nice smooth canvas for lipstick application. The lipsticks are a nice formula, richly pigmented, good application, etc…I got two shades. Again, kinda slim pickings as everyone got all the good shades but I did grab Merlot which is a nice crimson red and Coral a pretty coral peach which isn’t currently working for me but we’ll see with a bit of gloss.
And finally I got two Victoria’s Secret Lip Stain and Shine. These are duos which include a balmy type lip color and a gloss. The lip color is quite nice but I wasn’t too impressed with the gloss, barely any shine but still the overall look you can create combing the two is nice plus hey $3 bucks where can you go wrong? I got Wild Cherry which is red and Blackberry which is a deep berry red with hints of purple.
Overall, I’m pretty happy with the haul. I mean you can’t go wrong for the price right? Moral of the story…check out your local Victoria’s Secret to snag some of these guys. Quite a considerable saving at 75% off or so!
Anyone get lucky at VS?
Whatcha get?
Share your haul!
