Stila Spring Collection 2010: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner Review

Hey chicklets!

How’s the morning treatin’ you? I woke this morning to snow! Holy cow. So unexpected as the report said it would blow over. I got showered, dressed, head out to warm up my car and I’m smack in the middle of a ton of snow. w00t bring on Winter!

What kinda weather is happening in your corner of the world?

Oh…and also I am attempting to perfect my cat eye today which I always fail at miserably but have no fear I have the new Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner to aid me on my quest to cat eye nirvana!

Jump!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner is so awesome but I still suck at a cat eye haha!

This is a great one for anyone who adores a liquid liner as it has a super duper thin point. Honestly, it must be rocking the world of liquid liners as it’s sold out on Stila already!

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner is a waterproof liquid liner that glides on easily, skip free with a super think tip for creating a thin, precise line! It doesn’t smudge, it doesn’t flake, and it lasts all day.

Even for klutzy types like me this was super easy to work with due to it’s precise tip. I’m no expert in the realms of lining sadly and I find my best medium is powder or gel but this didn’t turn out half bad even with a shaky hand.

Overall, if you’re a fond fan of liquid liners you’ll want to pick this guy up! I’m hoping it’ll help me to create a better cat eye with a little practice.

Sold out at Stila sadly but snag it at Sephora!

That reminds me of MAC Penultimate Eyeliner, which is my current love for liquid.

I can never get a good cat-eye either, because I have asian half-monolid eyes so part of it always goes in >__>

    • the Muse

hey shelia never even bothered with the mac must google, nice thin tip too?!

aww! monolids are sometimes such a b*tch! for me my hands start to shake as soon as they near my lid it’s as of my eye knows the liner is coming to call! ;-D

  • Nia

Oh, that one looks nice. I tried the one from MAC that works the same way, but it tried out too fast for what it cost. But I see that the Stila one is even more expensive. Doh. But good to now 🙂

      • Nia

Yes, looks about the same, sounds about the same 😀
The MAC liner also made a huge difference for my cat eye skills, love it.
But they try up pretty fast (2-3 months depending), so I was hoping for a cheaper dupe. But I might go back to the MAC one, at least I can b2m-it once it dried up 😉

        • the Muse

hey nia! this seems like it won’t dry up as it has the spring mechanism in the cap which I believe keeps it fresh to some extent and liner flowing 🙂

  • Marina

Need this! I am horrible at liquid liner application, but I love the way it looks.

    • the Muse

Me too Marina! OMG the suckage! I stink at application 😀 but the super thin tip does make it a bit easier 😀 now if my hands would stop shaking I would be golden!

  • imprompturoses

You look fantastic! It really brightens up your eyes. (I’m also a gel eyeliner type of girl!)

    • the Muse

aww roses you are TOO kind dear! 😀 me too or powder, just seems easier to work with right? Plus it smudges easy too 🙂

  • Marina

Love your makeup, especially on the last photo. You should wear it more often 🙂

  • Fembot

I didn’t really like the Pen Ultimate eyeliner, it felt too much like a marker. It’s a fine line. (The tip is very thin, though. I just didn’t like how it deposited product and dried.)

I also use the Lorac Pro-whatever liquid liner, which sounds more like this Stila version. I’m always on the lookout for the next-best-thing, so I’ll have to give this a try.

Does it only come in black?

    • the Muse

awww not good fembot. I am too, always on the look out for the next best thing 😀 haven’t tried the Lorac Pro, that’s the 10 buck one right?

It does indeed come in black!

  • Kelly

Oooh! I usually avoid eye liners because I have a horrible time with them (I usually end up looking like a raccoon)…this one really makes me want to try it! Thanks!

    • the Muse

      your most welcome kelly!

and guilty! Same here! I get all shaky when I have a liquid liner in my hand!

  • Katherine @ Lipgloss and Spandex

Fabulous job on the application, Muse! It just looks fabulous with your eyes 🙂

I’ve used ELF’s $1 waterproof eyeliner pens and really like them, especially because they’re only $1 and they really do last. The colors pretty much all end up looking black though. I just got an eyeliner marker from LORAC that I have yet to try. But this Stila one looks fabulous… that might be next on my list of things to try!

    • the Muse

aw katherine you’re too kind dear! Interesting I’ll have to try out ELF especially since target carries it now 😀

  • shooshi

Not bad at all, quite good! have you tried watching ricolovesmac’s winged eyeliner video on youtube? really helped me perfect my cat eye 🙂

    • the Muse

oh no I haven’t will have a look shooshi thanks! and thanks for the lovely comment 🙂

  • Christine

taht’s…really holygrail mo’t. just for the fact that it’s easyier than other liquids

  • Del

My HG liquid liner is a DS brand…works for me, so why not? it’s not waterproof though…I like liquid liners because if you mess up then it’s easy clean up w/a Q-tip! heaven forbid I sneeze when applying eyeliner, but if I do- Q-tips here I come!

Now I have a question for anyone to answer: if your eyelids are not the same (folds are different), do you overcompensate on one lid so your eyes match up or do you line the same thickness to both eyes and have yer liner match & not your eyes? Does that make any sense? =P

    • the Muse

LOL del I’ve sneezed once during eyeliner ap it was not pretty! 🙂

ummm you REALLY lost me LOL can you explain that one again!?!??!

    • Rueblade

I know what you mean about the eyelids. Mine are the same! i draw my eyeliner thicker on my left eye than my right so when my eyes are open it looks even.

  • Bakeneko

I think this looks gorgeous Muse.

I am utterly crap at eyeliner. No matter how hard I practice it never looks good!

  • SunChaser

I’ve also heard the Penultimate from MAC was excellent..

Here in Canada, both are the same price, but MAC has twice the amount of fluid in it…

I have heard someone say (xsparkage from youtube) that the MAC pen dried out ridiculously fast… I don’t know if it was just hers or if they all have a tendancy to do that, worth looking into

I like the pictures btw 🙂

    • the Muse

hmm suncaster I doubt you’ll have a prob doll, with mac that is, as long as it remains capped you should be good to go 😀

glad you enjoyed the pics dear 😀

  • del

Let’s try this again…makes more sense the way Rueblade puts it (thx)…the folds in my eyes are not exactly the same size- as in one fold is bigger (thicker?) than the other so if I apply my eyeliner the same thickness on each eye you can tell that my folds are different, but if I line one eye thicker my eyes (& folds) look the same size. But the liner is not the same thickness, which ppl see when I close my eyes….oh Musey never mind LOL I would hate to give you a headache just trying to understand my funny talk ; )

Sorry for the late reply – I only saw your comment now…how weird…
