The Muse’s Year End Review 2009: The Muse’s Fav Blushes
If you’ve been with the Muse for a while (aren’t you special?) you know that I normally do my Year End Review in a single post. This year I thought I’d so several posts for each individual category in the realms of beauty.
Some of my favs were released in 2009 while others are old favorites that continue to impress me and make my list year after year so expect to see new and old favs pop up on each list.
And let the Muse’s Year End Review commence with the Muse’s Fav Blushes from 2009.
Although any normal girl might argue that there can’t be much to say about blush. Perhaps the average, everyday girl has two blushes, maybe three. One warm, one cool, maybe a vibrant shade she rarely uses but thinks is pretty so she keeps anyway.
But we makeup junkies know that there is entire world of blushes out there with different formulas and textures, from different brands, in a wide variety of shades and color that the normal girl probably wouldn’t consider trying.
The following blushes win a prestigious spot on the the Muse’s Fav Blushes from 2009 list that she found herself reaching for again and again and again this year….!
FaceFront Cosmetics has had me in it’s blush clutches since I discovered the line this past Summer. Releasing LE shades of loose mineral blush every few months or so they have turned into a source of endless joy for the Muse as she simply adores the popping shades of color such as I’m Faunally Yours and Frawn Apawn.
Although they aren’t new by any means, Aromaleigh Rocks! Sonic Rouge has been a fond favorite for the past year or two now. The shades are all terribly bright and outrageous but I love the youthful glow they give to my cheeks!
Benefit Coralista had a hold of my heart at first glance. To this day the Muse names it the best box powder from Benefit.
Benefit Posietint keeps a healthy flush on my cheeks and has been a favorite since it’s release last Spring, it too, earns a spot on the coveted Muse Fav Blush list!
NARS Orgasm makes the Muse scream in excitement but she likes to double her pleasure with NARS Super Orgasm which turned out to be one of her very favorite, can’t live without it blushes of all time.
Ahhh again with those loud, outrageous shades of blush but I can’t help myself especially when shades from Medusa Makeup are gracing my collection. These top my fav list for sure!
MAC always has a special place in my heart so of course MAC Just A Pinch Gel Blush was something I clamored to get more of. It’s just one of those blushes you simply must have a back up of.
Not new by any means but remaining a fond favorite each year is Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks. It just works, ’nuff said
MAC Blush in Eversun some how wormed it’s way into the favorite group and makes me realize I’ll sob when I’ve used up the one I have. Must. find. backup.
MAC broke onto the scene with Mineralize Blushes earlier this year and proceeded to wow us with Mineralize Grand Duos. Those MAC folk sure know how to make blushes that top the fav list of many a junkie.
The Body Shop Spring Collection 2009 brought us a rose themed beauty collection and to this day the Body Shop Roseflower Blush, scented with roses, remains a fond favorite, simply a gorgeous and timeless blush. Well done Body Shop! Let’s see some more like this.
Matte you say? I’d personally never name a matte blush a fav but Lorac Baked Matte Blush in Exposed made me a believer that matte can sometimes be very, very, very good.
Jelly Pong Pong Cheek Puff Fluffy Cheek Stain started out life as simply being a cutely packaged blush for the Muse but after trying it she surely can’t live without it now!
Pop Blush Cakes were able to enter my fav world by way of a good sale and boy am I glad I indulged because they top my favorite list in a major way!
Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten Tropic Hues is possibly the most gorgeous blush in my collection. It’s a must have in my humblest and absolutely essential to your collection.
Easily over done comes to mind when I tried out Dianne Brill Pearl Blush for the first time but the shade Rose Gold Pearl has become one of very favs this year and I imagine it’ll stick around for a while on this list.
I hope you enjoyed this look into some of my favorites blushes from 2009. Stay tuned tomorrow for more of my favorite products from this year. There are links embedded within the post which allow you to be magically whisked away to my review of each blush featured which will also include swatches and FOTD’s (face of the day photos).
Go ahead and comment on your fav blushes from 2009 and which made an impact on your stash.
You know…the ones that you reach for daily and sigh over while staring in the mirror after application and thinking how it’s made you glow.
