You know me I’m kinda half arsed when it comes to posting full details on collections and I normally nit pick through a collection and choose items I like and think you’ll like but never do full details. Bad, Muse, Bad! But I leave the full collections to my buddy Christine who always has the good word on everything but I gotta say I’m all kinds of excited about Urban Decay Spring Collection 2010 so I got busy to get all the images gathered up and all the info so I could share it with all my fellow UD junkies.

I wanted to be HD ready when I seen this high def powder. Urban Decay promises it’ll not only make you look Facebook ready but also creates the perfect bare skin look. Tiny water particles float on the skin’s surface and “burst” when you apply this refreshing powder. Can you say OMG awesome technology?! Sounds rather crazy good to me! WANT!

Also exclusively at Sephora is the brand new Urban Decay Primer Potion Eden ($18). Eden is a matte-finish with a tawny hue to give a no makeup look. It actually sounds quite like it might work to conceal upper lids like Benefit Lemon Aid does. It mattifies while keeping shadow in place but also gives a no makeup look when worn alone. Count me curious on this one. Many of my Asian girls suffer from oily lids so this may be the key at mattifying lids and keeping shadow on all day long!

Good times right? Looks like an incredible selection of makeup candy. Urban Decay also has three updated shadows of it’s Cream to Powder Foundation. Everything, aside from Eden, is available for purchase on site as of today!

Kat from Bjooti named Urban Decay Brand of the year and I gotta say the push of new collections lately, the incredibly interactive way they answer questions on Twitter and Facebook plus just the way they talk to lovers of the brand and keep everyone in the know is above and beyond what I’ve seen from any brand before. It’s understandable why she selected it as brand of the year as they really do deserve it. They’ve put alot of work into turning the makeup world on it’s ear this year with plenty of new products plus some that are downright unique.

I’m relishing the idea of testing out Urban Decay Spring 2010 and giving you my thoughts on it. From the looks of things it’s going to be a HOT Spring! I know you’re all gagging for swatches and thoughts on the products and I’ll def get to it soon as I have product in hand.

What do you think so far?

OMG!!!! I must haul this collection. I especially am excited about the new 24/7 pencils and the Eden primer potion. UD is my favorite line and they almost never disappoint. LOVE IT! Thanks for the update Muse 🙂

    • the Muse

sarah isn’t it exciting? it’s been a fav of mine for many a year 😀 too! I must say they have outdone themselves the last year or so with release after release of crazy goodies!

  • rebecca

wanting the liners, powder and primer but the shadows do not appeal to me. I like how they are reealsing liners from the holiday set. I really hope they realese el dorado for summer!

  • Samantha

I’m not Asian but I suffer from oily lids. Would this help more than UDPP? Because UDPP hasn’t helped my lids at all 🙁

    • the Muse

hi Samantha my sis has the same prob. I dunno I haven’t tried it yet so unsure how matte it is but I’ll let you know soonish!

  • jackieg02

That powder seems like its my beloved Flawless Skin Powder from Prescriptives. I may have to check it out now…

And the matte UDPP sounds veerrry intresting.

    • the Muse

jackie very excited about the powder 😀 can’t wait! and must say UDPP matte sounds quite interesting!

  • Jamie

Being Asian, I too, suffer from oily lids, and am SO excited to try the new UDPP in Eden! It sounds perfect for those eyeliner-only days.

I’m also excited that they turned an eyeshadow that I love – Mildew – into an eyeliner! Although Crash looks super similar to 1999…

    Can’t wait for your swatches!!

    • the Muse

Hi Jamie totally understand have many a friend who is Asian and suffer the same. My sis, not Asian lol, has a prob with oily lids as well. I can’t say I have this problem but I must say I hear friends rant about it daily, must be a pain! I’m quite excited to try this as the Summer my lids could use it. Actually Mildew was in the stash sets from the Holidays but now it’s full size w000t personally I think it’s one of their best shades of shadow, so happy about the liner!

Yea…I think you’re right they do look quite similiar!

Working on swatches now babe, hope maybe beginning of next week I’ll have something for you! Just ordered Eden from Sephora so that will be popping up soon too!

  • Nia

Wow, really looking forward to this. Especially the powder 😀 I hope they arrive in Europe pronto.
The liners do not do it for me and up to now I was already using the UDPP like Lemon Aid to smooth over my see-through skin on the lids when I was just wearing eyeliner.
But the powder is definitely a want, the eyeshadows are a strong might 😉
Looking forward to your review and your swatches 🙂

    • the Muse

nia hope you get them fast too b/c it looks like a great line up! I can’t wait to get my hands on it all, just looks SO tempting 😀

  • Kaoru

I want Mildew and Eden, myself. Glad they released Mildew by itself, because I’m mad interested in it. A matte potion sounds interesting, as well. I wonder if it will conceal a little on the upper lids, or if it will apply clear.

All but Eden on the site, hehe, just my luck, the things I want the most are the ones that take the longest to release (or don’t come to these shores at all…).

    • the Muse

hey kaoru! I want a full size mildew myself 😀 and eden yes please! I wonder too from the deets sounds like a bit concealing! eden is exclusive to sephora that’s why it didn’t pop up on UD 😀

  • Gemma

I cant wait for the new eye shadows I defiantly heart urban decay eye shadow. Also Im looking forward to the finishing powder. I hope they hit the UK soon.

    • the Muse

hey gemma happy new year! Me too! I hope that UD brings these over to you guys 🙂 they look lush! well everything does 🙂 hehe!

  • Jessie

Was just commenting at Elese’s that Eden looks like Lemon Aid. And when I read the description of the Razor thingy, I have to ‘burst’ out laughing lol

    • the Muse

mm Jessie I haven’t been over to see E yet this morning did she post on UD? Must go peek and hear her thoughts. I gotta say if this is like lemon aid by some chance I imagine it’ll totally turn into a big LOVE.

haha 😀 me too! I liked the “facebook” ready part how cute is that?!

  • Fee-ona

Ooo… I really like the look of those eyeshadows but I can’t buy as I’d feel guilty for not using the UD ones I already have!

    They’d feel neglected. 🙁

However the finishing powder looks fantastic! I will totally be buying that, will let you know how it goes.

Oh, one thing whilst I’m here, you wouldn’t happen to know of a good foundation for VERY VERY pale girls? The one I’m using right now is OK but still is a tad darker than the rest of me so I have to use it very carefully and it’s the lightest shade. 😡

    • the Muse

mmm fee-ona me too. I have an absurd amount of UD shadows but still WANT 😀

Can’t wait to hear whatcha think! mmmmmm for very very pale…how pale we talking?

      • Fee-ona

Ooo, I was very cheeky and decided to be brave and speak to non-drug store cosmetics ladies. Ended up at the Bobbi Brown counter and the lovely lady there helped me out!

I wasn’t as pale as I thought and I actually needed the moisturising foundation rather than the Non Oily one which I was orginally looking into.

Wore it today and omg I cannot go back to drug store foundation, it’s heaven on my face!

        • the Muse

oh this is so fab fee-ona! Nothing in the world like GOOD posh foundation 😀 that sounds fabulous hun! I’m so glad you found gorg foundation 🙂

  • Lori

I SO want that powder!! They had a mineral makeup that matched me (I’m very pale but with neutral undertones so I can NEVER find a matching foundation) and if the powder matches it is MINE!

    • the Muse

hey lori I think it might be transparent white hun so should be universally flattering on all tones

  • suz

ohhhhhhhh I want Urban Decay Primer Potion Eden…I’ve never bought anything Urban decay and I really need a lid potion…whats funny I never even wear eye-shadows…*looks away*….those eye-shadows look so pretty *too bad I don’t know how to put on eye-shadows *…:(

P.S. can you do a eyeshadow: how to apply them…tutorial 😀 *simple one*

    • the Muse

Suz no shadow!? omg 🙂 I love shadow 🙂 You can actually use the lid potion minus shadow it’s supposed to mattify and also give a nice no makeup look so even shadow-less you can take advantage 🙂

Practice 🙂 that’s the key to good application!

I suck at tutorials but I’ll see what I can do 😉

  • irini

well it sounds interesting 😀 however im not fond of the eyeshadows, i dont know the packaging looks cheap to me

    • the Muse

hey irini! Not a shadow girl eh? 😀

I dunno abut packaging yet but I’m hearing they are rubber or something?! and have a cool way of squeezing open!? Not sure but we’ll see!

  • Shiya

I might take a look at the new UDPP. hate the packaging of the new eyeshaodw.

    • the Muse

shiya I’m hearing interesting things on the packaging for the shadows, gonna wait to decide what I think 😀 UDPP eden def on my list 🙂

  • Meghan

Pros: That powder looks super fly, as does the new primer. I’m wondering if it will affect shadow finish?

Cons: No pink eyeshadow (UD is still vehemently anti-pink, but will make any number of purple shades), and no El Dorado 24/7 liner. That last one makes me an especially sad panda because I LOVE the el dorado liner.

    • the Muse

meghan must agree no pink DAMN! but they do have some nice ones, ever try the cherry shade they have? And I think we can place bets on El Dorado for Summer it’s such a friendly Summer shade. I don’t have the shade and I’m GAGGING for it.

I doubt it’ll effect the finish of the shadow but I’ll def review for you shortly 🙂

      • Meghan

I got the super stash and el dorado is the one I loved the most, it’s a totally lush gold shade!!! I hope they release it for summer, it’s awesome!

I wish they would do a neon fuschia (the sting deluxe es is NOT hot pink no matter what the description says!) eyeshadow, maybe with a blue flash like the jilted lipstick, that would be amazing!

        • the Muse

I hope so too meghan I NEED IT 😀 mmm that sounds lovely 😀 no…I dunno what I’d call it but not hot pink. Have you tried Too Faced Mess in a Dress? I have a review/swatches that’s pretty HOT

  • Kimber’s Corner

Great pics! I too think I’m seriously jonesing on this collection, Eden looks amazing (oily eyelid girl here!) and the eyeliners are subtle yet still “urban decay” with a little kick to them. Going to have to pick and choose some of this for makeup playtime!

    • the Muse

ha kimber my sis too! 😀 the mildew is a must have imho! come back and tell us what you haul 🙂

  • Bevi

ALL OF IT! Only thing I’m not too fussed on it the primer potion. I have oily lids and the original PP works just fine for me. In fact, I did the whole ‘cutting a tube in half’ thing, and the stuff I got out lives in a little make up pot. Because of that it’s thicker and gungier and makes a really nice nude eye look, so really don’t need eden.

Am super pissed off that we still don’t have the Cream to Powder foundation. It frustrates me that UD don’t seem to take their UK market that seriously. I’ve emailed countless times but no response. UK girls can’t even join the mailing list (last time I tried was about 6 months ago, so I assume this to be the same). It’s not like they have a capsule selection here, we have a good 80-90% of the range, so why not the whole thing? I want that foundation, I want the nail polish set that they released for Chrimbo, and I want a train case. Really UD, do you think so little of us that you would deny us Brit chicks??? 🙁

Ooooo Kkkkk, rant over. :p lol

  • Ricci

I havent tried UD before how are the eyeliners , smooth and easy to apply?

  • cherie

Oh my! I can’t wait for your review of Eden! I’m asian and have an oil mine of a face–eyelids included– so this might just do the trick! Thanks for the heads up Muse!

    • the Muse

you are most welcome cherie 🙂 I look forward to trying it, it looks good right?

  • Rocio

ojala me enamore de MAC algun dia tanto como lo estoy de Urban Decay mi Chio, love u, te veo a las 6 y avisote que no he probado rosca y me la voy a comer alli, ni me digas nada jajajajajajaj

  • del

moon spoon & space cowboy are looking good! oooh…waiting for your swatches will be a test of patience…hehe…and I wanna try Crash…wonder if it’ll end up lookin black depending on your skin color…hmmm….

    • the Muse

del they are coming soon doll 😀 mmmm crash is a tough one I wonder too!

  • Ashley C.

Have you seen the new Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows that comes out on Friday?? It looks amazing!! I’m a little concerned that a bunch of the shades look similar to ones in my Ammo Palette, but it is one awesomely put-together palette, nonetheless! 😀

    • the Muse

mmmmm I have indeed ashley, lovely right? Can’t wait to get my hands on it. They are all general catalog shades with new names if that’s helpful!

      • Ashley C.

That is helpful, thanks! That would explain why so many look familiar. They are ALL general catalog colors? I would have thought at least a few would be exclusive to that Book of Shadows like the other Books…that kind of makes me sad. 🙁

        • the Muse

ashley from what I understand yes nothing exclusive. new palette style but shades are aren’t exclusive but we shall see if anything else crops up darling! I’d have loved a few exclusives but I’m loving the design and overlooking that 🙂
