Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Shampoo and Conditioner Review

Victoria's Secret Love Spell Shampoo 1

Now Victoria’s Secret makes Love Spell Shampoo and Conditioner! Oh Hai! Call me a goof but I love the idea of my locks smelling all Love Spell-a-licious!

Jump!

So…I do not like silicon in my hair but I simply could not pass up on Victoria’s Secret Love Spell Shampoo and Conditioner. They actually have a full line of hair care now which includes the shampoo, conditioner, and I believe hair spray. It’s not only available in Love Spell but a few other scents at well but since I’m such a fan of Love Spell I got that scent.

What’s to say really? It does make your hair smell like that beautiful cocktail of peach, cherry blossom, and jasmine, all the gorgeous notes that make up Love Spell.

The actual product isn’t as bad as some shampoos/conditioners on the market as it rinses clean and doesn’t leave a ton of build up thankfully, I normally avoid silicons so this is good for me.

If you’re a fan of the Victoria’s Secret Love Spell line I don’t see why not picking up a bottle or two as it’s a nice layering effect with your hair smelling beautifully and your body with a quick squirt or two of Love Spell Body Spray!

Ahhh beautiful.

Pretty great!

Anyone try?

I really do love the Love Spell scent, but I’ve been sulfate free for several years now, and I really dislike shampoos and conditioners with them.

    • the Muse

mmm understandable DD! silicon-free myself 😀 so I can totally relate!

    • donna

      Hey Phyrra,

What sulfate-free shampoo/conditioner do you use? I have tried a few “organic” shampoos but they left my hair feeling grimy and gross.

      • Christal

Donna- the bed head shampoo/ conditioner in superstar is sulfate free and works amazingly well for me… Some of the other sulfate frees ive tried haven’t done the magic I needed… plus it smells yummy.

      • Phyrra

        Hi!
I use Tigi Superstar Sulfate-free shampoo and leave in conditioner.

I’ve been looking at stuff on etsy as well, since there are several sellers that make vegan sulfate free shampoo and conditioners.

  • Dao

I’m going sulfate-free now so I can’t use these stuff anymore. Do they have the shampoo and conditioner in Amber Romance? That’s my favorite VS Garden scent.

paloma almost all conditioners have silicone in the mix of things to smooth hair out and give it that “conditioned” feel. the problem is silicon builds up in your hair, making it greasy, weighting it down, and just generally playing havoc with your locks. essentially silicons work to hydrate but in doing so, with daily use, they end up causing awful buildup resulting in bad hair days 😀

          • Paloma

🙁 How do I find the stuff that is good, smells good, and has no silicones?

          • the Muse

paloma lush has absolutely no silicons in it’s hair products! it’s the best way to go imho! 🙂

          • the Muse

paloma your hair will heavier, perhaps sticky or gummy feeling, greasy, bad hair days, just very heavy and lackluster or even in some cases flaking too because of gross build up from gels, hair sprays, etc….

          • Paloma

My hair never feels like that when using my Herbal Essences…in fact, it feels five thousand times better after I use it. Full of body and clean as ever.

  • Phyrra

    Hi Paloma,

The stuff I use on my hair (the Superstar) smells like strawberry candy.

    • the Muse

aimee me too! it’s so hard going back to silicons!!!!!!!! makes my hair life chaos!

  • sonia

I tried the yellow one…i forgot the name now…and I just loved it…It smells so good and the conditioner is pretty good too!

    • the Muse

is that amber romance I think sonia? not sure but I know what you mean 😀 It’s not bad at all and it rinses nicely doesn’t feel heavy at all right? not too bad at all 🙂

  • Hailee

    Uh oh…what bout bb? Silicones?

I LOVE this smell, so I’d love my hair smelling like it but it seems kinda cheap…like it just smells good, and does nothing tonyour hair

    • the Muse

      bb hailee?

Mmm I dunno if it did anything for my hair or not 🙂 it gets my hair clean and I’m pretty happy with that hehe!

  • jackieg02

I’ll have to check out VS and see if they have Pure Seduction. That is my fav VS scent! Thanks for the info!

    • the Muse

jackie raking my brain but can’t remember if they did or didn’t have PS hmm! But I love PS too 😀

      Your most welcome!

  • Gia

Every time I go into VS i stare at this for a couple of minutes debating if I should buy it.
I used to use their Very Sexy line untill I noticed my hair that normaly has crazy volume (which I love, hate straight hair) was getting greasy and flat looking. My hairdresser told me it could be the silicons/chemicals in it so I switched to natural Lush now and I love it!!! But……. i might have to get this to use once in a while. The smell is the best!!!!

    • the Muse

hey gia! mmm very sexy is nice but it builds up in hair like a bitch! This is considerably lighter in formula so you might be good with it. It’s def the silicons and other gunk! I use Lush too and it’s def the best around to keep hair silicon free and happy!

      🙂

  • Nikki

I use the shampoo as a body wash as well. It’s more fragrant than the original body wash.
