Would You Buy It? Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Retinoid Pads and Solution

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Pads and Solution

How’s everyone feeling about the new Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Pads and Solution?

Would you buy it?

As soon as the New Year breaks it’s like the calling card for brands to begin releasing new skin care. Maybe they think we all sit down and write a resolution that includes, “I will take better care of my skin”. Whatever the case may be now is a good a time as any to embrace a new skin care regime, in with the new, out with the old.

Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Pads and Solution is the newest skincare miracle to take on the fight against aging with an age fighting treatment that delivers retinoid in single use pads.

The entire concept is interesting as it’s made up of pads and an easy pour solution. Simply saturate a pad with the solution and apply. The formula is supposedly skin restoring and formulated with next generation HPR technology that boosts the surface-cell turnover rate.

Antioxidants, skin conditioners, and soothing agents, you name it Philosophy put it in there. The set is $70 and includes a 2 oz Miraculous Anti-Aging Retinoid Solution and 60 pads.

It’s supposed to work super fast and within a week to four you’ll see a noticable improvement in dullness and discoloration plus a new found smoothness. After eight weeks pores shrink and wrinkles are visibly improved

Tall order and nothing short of a miracle right?

$70 isn’t too bad for all that skin action it promises. At the moment I’m debating whether I want to indulge or not. Never to early to start turning back the hands of time but I also feel like I have a ton of skin care I already use…do I need too add another piece to my endless regime? I’m tempted that much for sure.

Would I buy it?

Debatable at the moment but I’m leaning towards yes.

What about you?

Would you buy it?

NOPE I wouldn’t buy anything with retinoid in it since really I have the “real” stuff prescribed by my derm…to get rid of acne that I’ve been plagued with for the past 2 months ..retin-a…I don’t have wrinkles or anything since am still not yet 24 yrs old…so as long as this helps me *which it has since I’ve been on it for the past 3 wks* yay for retin-a….then I’ll keep using it to “better” my skin…and get rid of these damn lil acnes…:D but maybe when I get old I’ll start buying retinoid products…:D..or maybe as long as am on retin-a then it will help with premature wrinkles…and other skin conditions

    • the Muse

suz you def don’t need it at 24 anyway aside for treating ache that is 😀

  • Hailee

That sounds nice!!! I would say yes, I would get it for my mom. And like you said, it’s never to early to start turning back the hands of time, so I could use it on me!! But my mom said that using “old lady wrinkle products” (hahah) could mess up my skin because I’m young (15) BUT SHEA NO MAKEUP JUNKIE! do you know anything about this?

Oh and back to the actual product…do it muse, do it! That way if you’ve wasted 70 bucks and you review it I won’t have to have wasted 70 bucks. Hehe I know you love me!

ONE LAST THING I SWEAR! are you going to any of the sephora “party” things? I just got an email about it, an this produc is one of the things there showing off.

Um, sorry for the long post…..hehe?

    • the Muse

hey hailee! def never too early 😀 omg god 15? I had no idea you were so young Hailee 🙂 you def do not need to worry about anti-aging at the moment hun. You have a long time before you need worry about it 😀 and yes she’s right it could prove to rich for your skin so stick to something for your youthful skin, don’t rush it 🙂

LOL thanks Hailee I’m glad you enjoy spending my money for me LOL! You’re too cute. Mmmm I haven’t checked my email what party? Give me some more deets!

      No worries love long comments!

      hugs!

  • Mariam

Hey muse it seems like a good product from some review I heard but your young you dont need it! But I am like 18 and I want to try it out still lol 🙂

    • the Muse

LOL Mariam I’m over a decade older than you so I def need something haha! 🙂

  • Melissa

The older I get the bigger the pores on my cheeks appear. I’m31 and noticing wrinkles on my forehead now too. 🙁 I looked at this set tonight but I couldn’t make up my mind. The moisturizer that compliments it felt fabulous but its full if silicones which normally don’t make my skin happy. I’m not sure this will work for me but it seems to read like it was designed for my pre-mature aging issues. Maybe I will wait for a deal on qvc or beauty.com for it.

    • the Muse

Melissa I’m around your age and def have fine lines under my eyes and I’m not noticing slightly expressions lines on side of my cheeks, too much smiling LOL! QVC sounds like a good idea, they always do great kits/pricing!

  • Johanna

I was thinking about purchasing this for my boyfriend who suffers from psoriasis on his hands and face. Last week on the Dr. Oz show, Dr. Oz said that retinol works well on psoriasis.

    • the Muse

johanna my sis was telling me about that episode, that’s pretty interesting!

    • Paloma

Really? I have psoriasis as well….I might just consider a cheaper version of something with that.

      • the Muse

hey paloma can’t verify but I read something about it as well. You might wanna check with your dermatologist and see what they say! Who knows maybe it’ll help!?

  • Lyanna

No, I wouldn’t. I think it looks like a fancy ripoff 😉 Sorry! I’m pretty happy with my Vichy day and nightcreme (I’m 35) and hey, you can never win that battle against aging anyway. There is no such thing as creams that add moisture to your skin – it has to come from within so drinking lots of fluids is actually a better way to keep yourself hydrated.

And of course a good moisturizer that suits your age and skintype is important, but there’s only so much you can do against fine lines (aside from botoxing them to death).

    • the Muse

hey lyanna! I haven’t tried vichy, we have alot of it in CVS (drugstore) here and I never got any. I agree you can never win that battle 😀 no botox for me thanks very much hehe!

    • the Muse

lol rebecca I’m debating at the moment…the erasing dullness does sound tempting!

  • mary_in_wonder

mmm I don’t know…..how do other products of Philosophy perform? Are they good? Actually, I’m hesitant to cash out that amount for a bottle that looks like liquid cough mixture plus pads. I have this stingy (or not) part that the “120pads for 1 dollar” pads work the same as the pricey ones. They may not be as soft and thin, but do the same….and I can even rip them half and double the pads LOL
Plus, I reached a sad conclusion that pores will not be eliminated (or not to the point I’d like). Never!

But if this turns out a miracle, then I’ll be more than happy to drool over it and envy those who can buy it! LOL

    • the Muse

mary I was a philosophy girl for a long time skincare wise before switching to Lush and I liked them. Not everything was great but most products I used were fab for my skin. it does look like cough medicine kinda 🙂 Sadly when it comes to good skincare you def have to put out the $$$ sometimes you get what you pay for and this kit is prob def worthy of the cash as it contains top notch ingredients. Ya pores are a tough one 😀 they might be tighter but not gone for good 🙂

      • imprompturoses

Hey Muse, another question. How do you think philosophy skincare (wash, lotion, etc.) compares to other brands that you’ve tried? I’m currently using Kose Sekkisei & have also used Clinique. Not sure if you’ve seen since you no longer use their products, but sephora has a Philosophy mini’s kit for beauty insiders at fantastic deal!

        • the Muse

hi roses sorry for the delayed reply. I was a philosophy girl for a long time. for me it’s affordable skincare that performs well, depending on which items you purchase. their peels, when hope is not enough night cream, etc…are all very good items. oh yes I did see that and actually it’s a good place to start your journey if you’re looking into getting into Philosophy. 🙂

  • Paloma

I’m only 22, so I probably wouldn’t waste my money on anti-aging stuff of any sort….lol

    • the Muse

hey paloma! you prob don’t need yet hun! you’re def young for this formula 🙂 I hear it’s good for dry skin though as well!

        • the Muse

hey paloma I guess it all depends on what you want to spend on skincare, etc…everyone has different budget options and likes/dislikes. Some folk like expensive skincare, others think drugstore skincare is awesome…variety, spice of life 🙂

  • Alyson

I think I’m totally going to get this! I only first heard of it when you posted about it and in the past 20 minutes or so I’ve been researching it all over the net and finding only rave reviews. I’m at that point in my life (31) where I’m starting to freak out about “age signs” and my skin is going crazy. Dry? Oily? Breaking out like a teenager? Sure! Bring it all on! $70 is not too pricey for something like this so I’ll give it a go. 🙂 Love you, Muse!

    • the Muse

alyson I really want it myself, haven’t ordered it yet but leaning towards 😀

Love ya back dear! If you try before me you better come back and tell me about it hehe!

  • Susan

This product sounded like a great concept so I ordered it last night. I have pretty good skin and am determined to keep it that way. I’m new to Philosophy skincare but I’ve heard good things so far. I’m really looking forward to trying this.

    • the Muse

susan stop back and tell us the word 😀 I’m curious but haven’t ordered yet!

  • jen

Ive been considering it since I saw it on Sephora. SO you should definitely try it and report back 😉

    • the Muse

jen it’s been in and out of my cart 😀 ha! I think I have to get it now!

  • Laura

    hey!
This reminds me of what I get on HSN, called Wei East Golden Root, works with a serum and pads (anyone else think they remind them of Stridex?)

And the Wei East ones work great! Only down fall is I guess they thin the facial skin and when I went to go get my eyebrows waxed they rrriiiiiippp the skin off!!

And definately can’t use the Philosphy ones – they have retinol, another no no when you wax.

I was way bummed as it worked great!

    • the Muse

mmm laura I think I know which ones you mean, I kinda dig some of the Wei East line! and yes def get the stridex vibe! awwwwwww! not good! I’ll keep this in mind as mostly I thread but sometimes I wax as well!

  • April

I actually bought this a couple days ago from Sephora. So far so good but I stumbled upon this website because I was looking for more directions in how to use it. Do you happen to know, is it better to wash my face first? use it in the morning or at night? the box had no directions other then to pour the liquid on to the pads. Maybe these are dumb questions lol but would appreciate a response thanks!

    • Deb

I love these pads! Use them at night. Cleanse face completely, dry off, and then use your pads first before your serum and/or moisturizer.

  • DR

Has anyone tried this yet? I just got it last night due to the product I wanted not being available, so after 4 weeks, I’ll report back.

    • the Muse

hey dr look forward to the good word after 4 weeks, I haven’t indulged myself yet so your review would be helpful!

  • Annah Bananah

I just bought “miracle worker pads”.. I will update weekly to let you know how its working on my old tired wrinkled 40 year old california sun worshipers face!

  • MamaBear

I just started using philosophy last year. I am a 39 year old mom of two and I must say I have never looked better. Many people have told me that I look “radiant” lately. I just got the miracle worker cream and started using it tonight. I like it, but we shall see if it is true love. I really love the entire line, so I am sure I will be hooked. I can truly see a difference with the other products I have been using, so I know they don’t lie. Excited to see the results.

(I have been using, purity, the mirco delivery wash, hope in a jar, when hope is not enough serum, the superbeautiful poreless flawless, and the superbeautiful airbrush powder). LOVE IT ALL!

    • the Muse

hey mamabear so great you are enjoying philosophy, it’s a fab line of product 😀 thanks for sharing your experience!

  • Doris

I have extremely dry skin. I bought this YESTERDAY and it’s absolutely amazing. It’s only night #2 and my skin feels amazing. No lie. I’m usually a very skeptical person and stick to cheap drugstore products..but goodness my skin literally FEELS firm and moist and it’s only day 2!! I’m glad I bought this and am going to continue to use it! If you have VERY dry skin like me I recommend this!!!

  • Ruzanna

I’m planning to buy it, and was kinda sure about it, until I read one of the reviews, where it says it is not recommended if you wax. So… can anyone tell me plz., if it’s true or not. Thanks:)

  • Luna

I bought these and am almost at the end of my pads now. I’m 41 and have used (and had good results with) Skinceuticals retinol 1.0 in the past. These are much gentler and less irritating, and there are definite results–nothing amazing, but if you use retinol over the long term (I usually use it for a few months and then give my skin a break for a couple of months), you’ll notice long term results. My only real problem with this is the price–I can get enough Skinceuticals for a year for $70! I think it should be $40 or so; especially since Philosophy isn’t a cheap brand, but they’re not normally geared towards high end either! In a nutshell, this is worth trying, but I don’t think the price is worth making it into a part of my permanent skin care routine–you can get effective retinol cheaper elsewhere.

  • Angie

This is an awesome product. I’m almost finished my first jar. I love it. It really makes my skin soft and nourished without being greasy. Also, I wax my brows, upper and lower and haven’t had a problem using this product.

  • Becky

I have The Miracle Worker set and actually really love it! I use it every night, it does fell like its oily but it dries on your skin and leaves my skin feeling wonderful! The pads are slightly exfoliating, so it feel like your getting rid of all those old skins cells that stay on your face. I have noticed that I have fewer stress lines on my forehead! Thats a great thing! I’m only 30, so when something can work now before the lines get really bad thats awesome! I hope this has been useful! Oh and I also have the Miracle Worker lotion, but I found it is too much for my skin to put it on right after the pads. I use the lotion in the morning instead.

    • the Muse

awesome becky glad to hear it 😀 I have both and slowly testing but not liking the cream so far, tad too rich 🙁

  • Suz

I am just about finished with my first jar and have seen a noticeable improvement in the age spots I have on my face. I am 62 years old and don’t have many wrinkles but the discoloration has always bothered me. This product seems to be doing the trick. Will try another jar and see if the dark spots lighten even more.

  • benita

muse, I had the problem with the cream being too rich also, but my skincare girl told me to use less and that i would love it,,,, she was right!!! the cream has soooo much good stuff just lllet the tip of your finger touch the surface of the cream,, and what ever sticks is all you need. dot it on your forehead cheeks nose chin etc. and massage it in. im 32 and my skin is “normal” and clear and fresh for the first time in 3 years!!! also love the pads, but the concentrate is too much unless your older, like 45-65, but they have another serum thats good before it.

    • the Muse

hey benita thanks I’ll try with less thanks girl! I liked the pads, we are nearly the same age, do you really think they are best for 45-65?

  • candi

I’ve actually been using the Philosophy Miracle kit for 8 days & my pores have noticeably shrinked & the wrinkles on ny forehead seem to be smoothing out. I’m 40 with 4 kids and people think I’m in my late 20’s. This stuff works!

  • Hope Atamian

I’m a very young looking 44, but I still felt like I needed a pick me up for my skin.
When I was in Sephora recently, the salesperson immediately brought me to the Philosophy Miracle Worker.
He was really passionate about it and actually he pinpointed other issues on my skin that this would take care of.
    This is AMAZING!!!!
The blackheads on my nose are virtually gone. My complexion is more even. I do have a glow that people do comment on and I look forward to using it every night because it works!
So, I’m in love with it:)

  • jburger

I would buy it, I am using the contrate now and the moisturizer and they are softening the hard line I have in between my eyes, the squint line. I am in love with this stuff and I think I am going to get some of this treatment in the next month or so.

  • Stephanie Davis

I just bought the trial kit yesterday, the sales person advised me to cut the pads in half, that way the kit will last a month. Oh she also said to put it on the back of my hands as they are starting to show my age. I’m 49, a few wrinkles but enough to what to do something about them. The trial kit was $35, so for a bit over a dollar a day, what do I have to lose. Let ya know at the end of the month

    • Sherri

I bought the product and feel that the pad needs to be a little moister. What do you think?

  • Sara

I’ve been using the entire Miracle Worker line for about 6 months now and couldn’t be happier with the results. The products do all that they claim to and at 54, my skin has never been in better shape. I actually get compliments on how smooth and pretty my skin is and I wear a whole lot less makeup now. By the way, don’t forget the back of your hands after you’ve used the retinoid pad on your face. Hands show age as much as your face will.

  • belinda

I got the day and night serum treatment as a gift. I’m skeptical after reading the reviews but its worth a try. I’m in my late 20s and my skin is starting to show signs of it mortality. My biggest concerns is if it will break me out cause I still have slight acne prone skin. I’m hoping to see the line minimizing and pore shrinking benefits that the product claims. I tend to be laxed when it comes to remembering to apply day and night, but I’m learning that has to change as I get older and need these beauty products. I’ll repost my results and comments throughout the 30days.

  • Tammi

I am on day two of the Miracle Worker system, and wow, I can already tell a slight difference! The pads work really well, some dark spots I had are already fading, and my skin glows. I can’t imagine after a couple of weeks how it will be. I bought the kit…much better value and you get the lactic acid wash in it. I will report back! 🙂

    • Alanta

All I can say to everyone is OMG this product is stinkin amazing! I was given it as a gift as well. I am 53 and have large pores and uneven skin. I have to say I let it sit there for several months but the other day I found it and decided what the hey. After the first use of the pads I was totally amazed. My skin felt so soft and supple….a feeling I haven’t felt in a very, very long time. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and I have to stop myself from touching my face all the time to feel how soft it is. I am noticing my skin tone getting better as well. Now I HAVE to buy it. I am not thrilled at the price but I think its totally worth it. I even had my 24 year old daughter try it and she was amazed by it as well, although I don’t think she needs it yet. If anyone is wondering about this product still, give it a try. You won’t regret it.
