Avon High Definition Color Collection: Avon MagiX Cashmere Finish Foundation Review and Swatches
No one brand can resist the evil allure of high def makeup for long. Psstt…they are giving us the benefit of the doubt and making us feel special with this high-def stuff, like we are models and movie stars and such!
The latest brand to jump on board with HD makeup.
Avon.
Jump!
Avon High Definition Color Collection will be available shortly from your favorite Avon rep. OMG! Muse! I don’t have an Avon rep. Don’t panic, grab your towel and head to http://shop.avon.com to find a local rep in your area. Or you can just wait until the collection releases online, in my experience it does sooner or later.
The Avon High Definition Color Collection will feature some of the newest color innovations from Avon including lipstick, lashes, liners, and foundation. Try not to worry too much about all the high-def stuff as it’s not as in your face as other brands are known for pimpin’ it hard. Although named as such it’s not all about how “photo” ready you’ll be, etc…Avon played it well so it doesn’t turn into another irritating high-def makeup range.
What has my attention at the moment is the rather cool Avon MagiX Cashmere Finish Foundation. Imma a likey! Now if I only got a shade to test that matched my skin tone grrr! Of course, I end up with the muddy natural beige shade. Blah! But at least I got a good feel for the product and I’m gonna say it’s worthy of your time and a lookiee at.
Here’s the deets.
This is a light semi-mousse formula that has an ultra smooth texture. It feels so weightless and light! It sports an SPF 10 and Avon promises 10 hours of matte coverage…dunno if it works because my skin isn’t oily at the moment but I can say that the formula feels like a cross between a good foundation and a primer. Cashmere for sure as it has that slightly powdery, creamy feel, very soft, very light, very touchable…I’d say it’s sheer to slightly medium coverage but anything more you’ll have to work on. It gives a nice flawless finish and provides an almost dewy glow. It’s supposed to blur imperfections so I guess that’s where HD comes into play. I imagine for anyone with larger pores it’ll be a rather nice formula as you can feel how it sits comfortable on top of the skin without absorbing fully or oxidizing quickly.
One slight problem for woman kind…
It does sport a fresh, floral-like fragrance. I personally don’t mind but I know some of you aren’t too keen on skin care or makeup that sports fragrance. This could prove irritating to sensitive skin types.
It sticks around on my skin for around 4-5 hours of which is great as my skin tends to oxidize foundation on the spot lately. The overall feel and finish of the product is so soft and lovely which is making me enjoy it immensely. I think I like it so much because it reminds me of Clarins Instant Smooth in a tube!
I kinda dig it all in all and think it’s worth a look especially at the price of $11 bucks. Where can you buy $11 foundation?
Not bad stuff!
Snag it from your Avon rep shortly, along with other pieces from the Avon High Definition Color Collection.
