Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Triple Treatment Eye Cream Review

Oh the gods have finally answered my prayers and blessed me with a great eye cream!

Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Triple Treatment Eye Cream, say that three times, I dare you!

Jump!

Now…it’s not my HG (holy grail) yet but it’s worming it’s way into my heart. My original HG eye cream of choice was DERMADoctor Wrinkle Revenge but I admit I’ve cheated on it my fair share of times. At this point I have around 20 rotating eye creams in my stash as I enjoy trying new ones to see which give me the best results. Some days I feel like I’m doing myself more worst than better but hey it’s a fun time to be had by all when you’re testing out an absurd amount of eye cream.

Who gets the award for best results this week?

Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Triple Treatment Eye Cream.

Likey, alot, so far.

What Bare Escentuals says about it:

Extracted from rare, virgin soil, our breakthrough RareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex uses its unique electrolyte delivery system plus an exotic Resurrection Plant Extract to nourish and hydrate skin naturally with zero irritation

Other benefits of our RareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex include faster cell turnover, decreased pore size, minimized fined lines, gentle exfoliation and increased skin luminosity.

Results from Bare Escentuals testers, based on independent clinical studies:

  • 100% noticed skin is softer and smoother
  • 91% noticed skin is firmer and more youthful
  • 86% noticed a reduction to puffiness around the eye area

My own battles:

  • Fine Lines
  • Puffiness
  • Dark Circles

My own personal journey through the eye cream word has led me to value one important thing in an eye cream formula, lightness. A light, hydrating formula is what I seek. I’ve noticed richer creams with hardcore ingredients actually worsen my problems instead of help it. Take it from me, I’ve tried alot, richer creams are not the cure all to fine lines and puff, in most cases I experience more puffiness when using a richer cream.

Bare Escentuals Rare Minerals Triple Treatment Eye Cream is very gentle, very light, and quite moisturizing when used correctly. Here’s the deal…you need alot. This could prove a fail for some or a blessing for others but the fact is you do need quite a bit of this to feel hydrated, particularly if you’re sporting super dry eyes. I was watching QVC and even Leslie said she likes to slather in on! I def agree. You need about a pea size amount to really get your eyes in tiptop shape.

It comes in a tiny tube with a needle nose applicator, so of course, I was under the impression this meant a tiny amount would do the job. No…you need to really get a nice size amount under eyes for it to work correctly. When used sparsely I seen very little in the ways of results but when using considerably more I noticed visible improvement.

Best part?

It really battles my puff and creates a smooth canvas for my concealer. It hydrates beautifully particularly when used over night plus you’ll wake up with 10lbs less luggage or at least I did after continuous use for around three weeks. I haven’t noticed any results as of yet on my fine lines but I haven’t used it long enough to see such as of yet.

At $28 for 0.5oz I’m currently debating with myself on the price as I can easily see myself going through a tube in about 40-60 days. But honestly when you do take $28 into consideration it’s much cheaper than what you’d dish out on any other high end eye cream which probably won’t get you the same results I was lucky enough to see with this.

Overall, it’s worth it’s weight in gold for the way it’s shaped up my puffy eyes, that’s a key woe of mine, everything else it takes on is cake….

Likey very much, actually go ahead and slap a Muse Approval on it for purchase.

I’d recommend trying it out, it’s working quite well for me and I’ve already purchased a second tube from QVC so I’m not without when I run out of this one.

Anyone try yet?

What’s your HG eye cream?

I was once educated by a SA in a beauty boutique that the reason some people have puffy eye bags is not just because of lack of sleep. Apparently, applying your facial lotion too close to your eye bags can “clog” them making them swell more. So I guess that’s why richer creams didn’t work for you, they were too.. rich and clogged your eye bags!
Though, I don’t like to listen to the ramblings of a SA but maybe she’s got a point..

    • the Muse

hey ashley yes a SA had told me the same thing about eye bags and I actually believe it could be the case as I was using very rich eye cream at the time as I thought it would help with my dryness but ended up making them swell up more so yup! she had a great point when she told you as such!

I am definatley on board with the idea (truth behind balloon eye bags) is too much hydrating creams. I use a hyaluronic acid serum from InstaNatural, (love their line, they sent me a big holiday gift box this year to try) anyway, I use a vitamin C serum from them also. I noticed, my eye bags, now have their own set of bags! Bags, under my eye bags! I’m self educated in skin care, have a skin care blog, and it occurred to me, I’m over hydrating my eye bags. I wasn’t 100% sure of this but, reading your comment and the one above yours, I’m 100% sure now, thats whats going on.. I didnt even think that putting my serums and moisturizers so close to my under eye would dl this. I right away, ran for some coffee grounds! Yes, it helps. I dab them on and spray with rose water so they adhere. Keep them on as long as I can takd it because, it can burn. Or feel like the grounds are burning. I’ve been searching and searching for an eye cream that wont create bigger bags and your review, for Bare Minerals Active Triple Treatment sold me. Do you still recommend this product?? Are you still using it and seeing results. A little about me. I’m 56. Have very few fine lines but some crow feet action going on. Not too bad with under eye darkness. Just slightly. Im mostly concerned about ridding these bags, (now I know, how to stop bringing them on myself) but, will most likely still have some baggage after I quit worsening them myself. I do need an eye cream to help fight aging eyes, fine lines. Would you say this product would be all I need? Thanks a bunch!

  • Nia

Hmm, that sounds very interesting and I need to keep that on my list.
At the moment I am using Origins Youthtopia (hate the name) and it is the first eye cream with anti-aging I am not reacting to. Although I am not too sure about the anti-aging, it does a very good job of hydrating my skin during this endless winter.

And WrinkleRevenge is the cutest name for an eye cream evah! 😉

    • the Muse

def worth it nia I’m liking it alot the past month! I haven’t tried youthtopia lol but the name had me! hydration is hells needed around these part! 😀 hehe I thought so too!!!!!!

      • Nia

Currently using Origins Youthtopia (great for moisture, does nothing for my fine lines) and Biotherm Vivo since a week and I like it A LOT so far. Hopefully it gets to work on my lines 😀

        • the Muse

nia really been wanting to try youthtopia cant use all the moisture I can get 😀 even if it doesn’t help with fine lines! ;D

  • suz

Lately….I’ve been realllllllllllllllly into finding a good eye cream…I’ve just ordered like 4 eye creams from sasa…hopefully…now I can think about getting this one too. I tend to worry about my face more than eye area…so thought now it’s time to worry about that area also…:D

Since you seem to have a ton of eye creams…could you do a review on your top like 5 best eye creams for hydrating, puffiness, dark circles, fine lines…etc…pretty please…. I really need a good hydrating and reducing puffiness eye cream…

    • the Muse

suz me too. past two years or so eye cream has taken over my life 😀 I def will try!!!!!!!! been meaning to for a while now :-D!

  • mayrei

Puffy eye bags in the morning are becoming my bane. They get worse and worse as I get older. I’m putting this on the list of products to try.

Do you have any other good de-puffers to recommend?

    • the Muse

oh god me too mayrei! NOOOOOOO nothing sadly. This helps considerably but I’ve never found good eye cream to battle the puff COMPLETELY! This works wonderfully so far though! I find concealer and eye brightening powder are key to concealing the puff!

      • mayrei

Thanks! I’m gonna give it a try. I have been using Ole Henriksen Ultimate Eye Lift, and it works ok as a preventive night treatment, but it doesn’t completely keep them at bay.

        • the Muse

hey mayrei no offense but I used ole once, it was the depuff eye gel stuff, and man it was AWFUL! it really turned me off to trying anything else. Also how old are you? an eye lift isn’t really a great one to use unless you are saggy.

          • mayrei

No offense taken… I noticed it had some bad reviews on makeupalley as it just does not “de-puff” for everyone and some people don’t like the sticky texture, but it’s worked ok (not great) for me. I’m *cough*30ish*cough*. I have noticed that it’s not working as well as it did when I first started using it, which is odd, and mainly why I’m going to move on to something else.

          • the Muse

yup may! that was the problem STICKYZZZZZZ! Plus no depuff sigh 🙁 *coughs a little too* I’m cough..cough..30ish too LOL! I wonder how the clinique one is 🙂 did you see that?

          • mayrei

Is that All About Eyes? I have thought about that one as well. I’ve seen a few pretty good reviews for it!

          • the Muse

mmm may no this is Triple Treatment Eye Cream hun. All About The Eyes is a clinique product as far as I know 😀

          • mayrei

No no, you mentioned the Clinique one in your comment above. lol.

          • the Muse

oh doh may! I’m tired LOL and confused LOL forgive me?

  • Lara

    Muse,
so you’re rally into this cream? My dark circles are my woe!:-( any other suggestion pls? I need a good concealer and brightening eye powder? any names pls? Shoot out . . .I’m already with pen in hand!:-)Thanks.

    • the Muse

Hi lara I like it alot 😀 sadly no suggestion for eye creams that will help with that 🙁 I’d try getting a Bobbi Brown Concealer Palette which includes concealer/setting powder, it’s my fav :D!!!!!!!

  • Mrs. Budz

Wow, you have everything that I’m looking for right in this website! 😀 Gotta love it!

Not only am I on a hunt for a good concealer, I’m on a hunt for an eye cream that will reduce the fine lines and make the under eye smooth so I can apply my concealer easily…I may try this one that you reviewed.

It’s definitely time for my eyes to get some cream!

    • the Muse

his one I am really liking at the moment mrs budz although you do need to slather it on 🙂

  • BabyAdore

Thank you very much, I have very bad puffy eyes and dark circles =(
And have tried a lot of eye creams and nothing worked even a bit. Guess I am going to try this one, thanks, I have hopes again! =)

    • the Muse

my pleasure babyadore you MIGHT have issues finding this. but I think BE has it on their site for 40% off or something as it is being dc’ed 🙁 I am so disappointed!

  • Victoria

I have been very curious about this eye cream. My hesitation has been that I am starting to develop deeper lines under my eyes and crepey skin. Is this cream geared more for younger eyes?

  • MDH

I’ve read your reviews on eye creams, but can you recommend one above all the others? I am a 35 yo caucasian female and I take excellent care of my skin, however, recently both my eyelids and below my eyes of become incredibly dry. I use Ole Henrickson Truth Creme in the am and Clinique Moisture Surge in the pm….both over my entire face. I’ve never had flaking skin under my eyes before! You can only imagine what my concealer must look like! 🙂

On a side note, I’m moving to Okinawa, Japan this summer. Any must try beauty products abroad?
