Bourjous Paris Rendez a Paris: Limited Edition Vintage Bourjois Paris Eyeshadows Review and Swatches

Find yourself rendez-vous’ing in Paris with the limited edition Bourjois Paris Eyeshadows released to celebrate the brands birth place and source of inspiration for it’s collections.

Ahhh Paris the source of romance, glamour, and a city full of unforgettable love.

Jump!

I have many a find Bourjois Paris Eye Shadow but none in my collection sport the sweet, vintage pots that the Bourjois Paris Rendez-vous a Paris does. The brand teamed up with artist, Natarie Rete, to celebrate it’s Parisian heritage and launched these brand new pots which feature a playful design or place to remind you of the beauty of Paris!

The formula on these shadows feels a tad different than the regular baked shadows I personally own. A bit more shimmery, a tad more pigmented, and alot more smoother is my impression. Perhaps along with the beautifully designed pots, Bourjois took the liberty to spice up the formula as well.

I’ve always been a grave lover of the shadows from Bourjois but I know some who complain they are a tad too difficult to work with because of the baked formula. I’ve personally never experienced such problems for myself but this formula and texture seems incredibly smoother with plenty of pigmentation to please.

I tried two shades Voilet Absolu and Argent.

Voilet Absolu is a true purple shade. Applied wet it turns into a midnight purple shade, ideal for a smoky eye. Applied dry it’s a truer shade of purple and beautiful for Spring.

Argent is a shimmery silver shade perfect for pairing up with black for a sparkly smoky eye look or in the inner corner of the eye to make eyes pop with a bit of silver.

Both shades feature the vintage illustrations on the pots, quite cute and highly collectible to me, a big Bourjois fan.

Lucky enough Ulta carries the entire range priced at $14 each. Yay!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I had the wonderful good fortune to be taken on a trip to Paris with all expenses paid by an extravagant and loving family member over Christmas. I stayed just a few blocks away from the Bourjois headquarters, and in the local Monoprix (like French Target) I saw these beauties and picked up three of them, including one of the blushes.

I got the silver one because it had the Opera Garnier on the front- that was my favorite place in all of Paris!

I was my favorite souvenir…I’m addicted, I know.

omg michaela can you adopt me?! 😀 Bourjois is such a gorgeous line and it completely and utterly reminds me of Paris (have not been in many years) even minus this cute packaging, just bourjois in general screams paris to me 🙂

Oh, I love how the purple looks 🙂
Need to have an eye put for them and see if I can find them. Up to now I always thought the pigmentation on their baked shadows was a bit lacking, but if these are different I am all over them.

hey Nia these were a tad different, bit more shimmery formula-wise! And if you have an older ones, try applying wet, it deepens the color big time!
