DKNY Delicious Candy Apples Sweet Caramel Review

Mmmm caramel! I’m not of a candy person but I really have a thing for sea salt caramels. God, those are so yummie! Primarily caramel candies are made by boiling a combination of milk, sugar, butter, vanilla essence, water, and glucose or corn syrup. Seriously, not a ton of exotic ingredients go into the candy but the end result is so delicious.

My downfall, around the end of September and through all of October, are Caramel Candy Apples. The combination of a crisp apple covered it gooey caramel and rolled around in peanuts makes my mouth water. They just remind of Fall which is my favorite time of the year.

But of course I was very eager to smell the new DKNY Delicious Candy Apples Sweet Caramel perfume as I felt for sure it would be as warm and and delicious as the real thing.

Jump ahead to get the scoop.

Count me bewildered as DKNY Delicious Candy Apples Sweet Caramel does not smell exactly the way my mind’s eye pictured it. Sadly, I didn’t get any warm notes of caramel but the good news is it is radiant.

If you adore the original Be Delicious scent Sweet Caramel should appeal as it’s a beefed up version of the original. It contains a dominant note of fresh, crisp apple with a dry down that contains both apple, pear, and cucumber to my nose, very fruity, very crisp, very fresh. A very faint appearance of both vanilla and caramel make an appearance but for the most part the apple dominates the overall fragrance.

I found the entire experience with DKNY Delicious Candy Apples Sweet Caramel interesting to say the least. For me it felt like they took the original Be Delicious blend and proceeded to create an amp’ed up version of the fragrance with brighter, happier notes.

If you’re a fond fan of the original Be Delicious I’m positive you’ll want to smell this. Gorgeous.

Long wearing and perfect for girls who like a fruity, sweet blend which manage to stay fresh and not cloying or overly done.

Loves it!

      Hey dd!

yes but I guess if it was TOO much caramel it might smell off with all that apple 🙂 it’s just a hint with a touch of vanilla!

I really want to smell this whole line! I love sweet/candy-inspired scents, and I’ve always loved the Delicious line, so a combo of the two sounds ideal!

    Muse,

I actually just bought this today as well.. I’m a little afraid, as I’m really not a huge fan of overly fruity perfumes. I’m looking for a sweeter, semi-fruity scent. But maybe it won’t be as bad as I’m imagining, lol. Keeping my fingers crossed!

hey kelsey goes on really sweet but dries down to more fresher, cleaner floral notes 😀 did you get any caramel from it? Mine was there but very very very very faint.
