Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam Peach Tea Review

I dunno when but Etude House released this really cute collection of Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foams. The Muse happens to be obsessed with a good cuppa tea so these simply delighted her. I was really good and only indulged in the Peach Tea Cleansing Foam as I wasn’t sure how my skin would react with these. As per the norm, cleansing foam seems to really make my skin tight and dry feeling after use so I was naturally wary about indulging in more than one.

But honestly I was simply gagging to get all of ’em! They have Lemon Tea, Green Tea, Etc….so cute! From what I understand the “teas” aren’t meant for any specific skin type and can be used by anyone who wants a squeaky clean face.

Check out my review of the Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam in Peach Tea after the jump!

Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam is a pretty typical Asian formula. It’s thick, it’s creamy, and it foams. You may be familiar with it’s texture if you’ve ever used Shiseido Perfect Whip (this stuff makes my skin scream for hydration! Ugh! So drying!). For those who haven’t really experienced a cleansing foam Asian style the best way to describe it is an old, traditional shaving cream. The formula is very thick and creamy with a whipped consistency much like whipped cream cheese.

A little water and a very little bit of cleansing cream and you can get to work on your face. It’s called foam for a reason as it foams and suds up beautifully. You can attack a face full of makeup and get it all off with this. It really gets deep in there for a squeaky clean finish. Mind you it doesn’t remove waterproof makeup so of course use some sort of eye makeup remover prior to cleansing.

Now the scent…

It’s SO interesting and fun. I like scented products plus my skin isn’t sensitive so I can take full advantage of heavily fragrance skincare without blinking an eyelash. It starts out banana-ish…really sweet and yummie. As you wash it switches to peach with an underlay of sweet tea. So novel, so cute, so sweet in my opinion. Absolutely adore the smell and I do believe it’s one of the key selling points for me.

One great thing about Asian cleansing foams is how great they feel on your skin as you’re massaging them around your face. You can feel a bit of a glide and a ton of hydration as you work it around your face. After rinsing off, thankfully, I didn’t experience too much drying. There was a tiny bit of tightness but with proper moisturizer I was ready to rumble.

Overall, Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam is worth checking into for yourself. I liked it very much and will indulge in further “flavors” of tea.

I got mine directly from Korea but I have seen an E-bay seller (Not affiliated with the seller) selling these for $5.95 (close to retail) and very inexpensive shipping. I haven’t purchased from this seller so do be aware if purchasing.

I never heard about those! And you’re right, they’re REALLY cheap… Oh, I’m so tempted! So the only difference between Peach and other flavors is the smell only, right? Thanks for reviewing this! 🙂

    • the Muse

ines from what I understand no real difference 😀 other than the fruit “extracts” they are using 😀 If I hear anything else will let you know dear!

      My pleasure 🙂 HUGS!

  • Audrey

Ugh, I so want to try the green tea one now! My favorite foaming cleanser at th e moment is Kanebo Kracie Naive pomegranate. I have the same problem as you, but this one leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, not dry at all! I’m wary of changing… XD

    • the Muse

audrey omg I love the naive ones plus they are SOOOOOOOOOOOO CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!! I likey the peach one and the rose..but they make my skin a week bit dry so I can’t use them daily 😀 I want the lemon one from Etude House 😀

  • KristyQ

Such great timing – I just received my “Milk Tea” Happy Teatime cleansing foam from a seller I found in Vancouver 🙂 Haven’t tried it yet, but I’m super excited after reading your review! I paid $7 CDN including shipping….so that’s about on par with eBay. Want to try the peach one now 🙂

    • the Muse

oooo very nice price kristy! Quite curious to try out the milk and lemon :-D!!!!!!!! come back tell me whatcha think?

btw how are you? been a while since I seen you around 🙂

      • KristyQ

Love the Milk Tea one! It’s the exact same consistency and
foaming action as you describe above 🙂 I’m going to order
the lemon one and the peach one of course – just came
back to re-read your review! I’m doing well, Muse! I’m always
around, just can’t comment all the time as usually I read via
        RSS at work. LOL.

    • Anna

      Hello Kirsty,

I’m wondering if you can share the name of your Vancouver seller with a fello Canadian :). I’d like to try these products, too.

      Anna

  • Cream

I’m all about peaches and Asian products at the moment! So guess who is going to purchase one of those 😉
By the way I really love your reviews about “underground” makeup and skincare products!

    • the Muse

aw thanks cream! I’m so glad you enjoy out of the way product reviews 😀 *hugs*

I’m so about peaches as well!!!!!!! stop back give the word what you think when u get it!

  • nlngstar

ahhh… this is my all time favourite cleansing foam at the moment. lol, I’m in my 3rd tube now. well, the price is only MYR13.90, around USD4. the seller sell in a pretty good price!

    • the Muse

that’s a super price nlng almost retail really 🙂 I love it too! Gorgeous scent!

  • plue

i have this too! been using them like everyday, especially when my skin is oilier than usual. It’s a little mild i feel, because sometimes it doesn’t wash away squeaky clean the first round, so i usually double cleanse with this.

There’s a bit of tightness sometimes, but i think most prolly cuz i got dry-ish skin at times. my sister got the green tea one and she adores it! works quite well for her young oily skin! it goes for 30% off sometimes in my place! rm13.90 minus 30%, that’s super cheap!

they have in aloe vera, milk/ milk tea, lemon and green tea. Tee hee. i might be getting another flavour soon! and oh, didcha know they have this one with yoghurt? it cost a bit more and there’s only 2 types but it does sound good ya know~ I remember one is for gentle exfoliating and another is normal cleanser? I think.

  • Nikkiz.

Hi Muse! My friends have tried the Milk Tea variant and they say it’s the best smelling one. Exactly like milk tea!

  • Julie

Off to buy ~ must have!! One of the Ebay sellers has 4 of the 5 for sale, and only $1 additional for each extra on shipping. The listing says this:

    Peach for brightening
    Lemon for revitalizing
    Aloe for moisturizing
    Green Tea for clarifying

Anyone know about the milk? :0)

    • the Muse

OMG Julie you are so awesome 🙂 I was trying to track down what each formula was for and just gleaned they were for all skin types!!!!!!!! ha! Thanks for the info 😀 $1!? that’s great!!!!! I’m hearing milk smells fab but not sure what it’s for 😀

    • Mina

I just got home from the Etude counter (i can’t believe it’s there in the department store!!!) and got the peach one. If I am not mistaken, the milk tea is for combination type of skin :D. So happy about this discovery… easier for me to get my Etude house stash… this cost me around $3.50 for the huge tube. 😀

  • Mollie

Duuuuude, I found a place not too far from my uni that sells Missha, Naive and Etude House. I was SO happy, as I either have to get Asian friends to get the stuff for me when they visit family, or my boyfriend’s mom (who is Filipino but apparently they have access to lots of the Asian brands)- but she hates me. This looks really promising but I’ll have to see if the store has them. I’m not too keen on eBay.

You and I are very alike in our desire for kawaii bits of stuff. 🙂

Have you ever tried any of the Missha BB creams? I just bought one- Missha Perfect Cover BB- and I haven’t tried it yet.

  • Starryxuan

I’m using the milk tea flavour now! i’m loving it! gonna try out the peach next!

    • the Muse

starry I so need the milk one everyone raved it’s gorgeous. what’s it smell like?!

  • Lemon

Hey! Do you think I will be able to remove make up with this cleansing foam? –without using make up remover prior to that. (:

  • Gaga

I has using etude cleansing foam(green tea),and its good to my face.
The smell is also nice……. I LOVE IT

    • the Muse

gaga I’m waiting on my green tea one to arrive 😀 can’t wait!

  • Tania

I’ve gotten quite addicted to Etude House these past couple of months. Peach Tea Cleansing Foam is one of my favorite products, mostly because it feels so good on my skin while I wash and the smell is yummy. Thanks for your reviews of other Etude products, I’m definitely going to try them out soon, especially the pore eraser, as I just realized I have gigantic pores. Haha.

  • Jc Li

I’m searching for cleansing foam n get confused between the skin food n etude. Although etude is much more cheaper but I have to wait 1 month for d arrival from Korea, coz d price is killing in d offline store (in Indonesia). I’d rather wait for d better price (almost 40%).
    Here is my little review.
Anyway, I’ve used etude cleansing foam products before but not happy time n yeah it’s really thick n creamy. Good enough but not moist enough 4 my skin ^^
For skin care d skin food is better, but for make up etude is better.

  • denise

Hi Muse! I bought this one a month ago I think. Etude House is available locally in my country (like Skinfood). it’s cheap, costs like approx. $3. I don’t like the smell though. but it’s a good cleanser! I’m planning to buy the Milk Tea next. It’s one of the good smelling ones for me, based on the testers there.

    Milk Tea is for softening.

    • the Muse

hi denise glad you’re enjoying these and can get so cheap yay! 😀 I liked the smell of this alot 😀 haven’t tried the milk tea yet but wanting too!

  • Greentea

I bought mine in Malaysia’s Etude House outlet end of last year. It was on sales so I got it for around USD3, which is REALLY CHEAP!! I couldn’t make up my mind which of the 5 I should choose from, felt like getting ALL OF THEM. Got the Peach one eventually, along with their peach body butter. Simply love the smell of it. <3

  • Angel

Hi! Etude House loyalist here 🙂 I started using Happy Tea Time (Green Tea) Cleansing Foam a few months ago and I’m really having fun using it. It gives you the kind of feeling you want to wash your face all the time! Anyway, I have oily skin so I asked one of Etude’s SA which Tea Time would work for me, and she pointed out Green Tea. Others, according to her, are for moisture, fairer skin, etc. So I believe each flavor stands with its own specialty 🙂

    • the Muse

awesome to hear angel ;-D yup, some of the others I actually already got and someone had mentioned what each was for so that’s rather awesome. Lemon is my fav!

  • Jessica

i’m using it too now. my sis bought it in singapore. love the smell.
now i’m trying the cleansing cream (aloe tea) and yessss… it’s way way better. moist your skin much more than the foam. the price is different but just a little, and it is big! using it, u just need a small amount. keep it for a long time till run out
