Think of 11 products, all priced to own at $8.99 (or 3 for $20) think of great formulas, think inexpensive, think something wonderful…got that all? Now think of The Body Shop Originals Collection which consists of 11 fabulous products traveled back in time from the 80’s and available for a limited time at your local Body Shop.

Can I hear a likey please?

The Muse has been testing out The Body Shop Originals Collection this past week and I’m duly impressed. You so need an affordable moisturizer in your life right? Who wants to spend $30, $40, even $50 bucks when you can shell out under ten and grab yourself a jar of The Body Shop Carrot Moisture Cream and call it a day.

Absolutely loves it!

This stuff is divine, what do you mean it’s only around for a limited time? Bring it back Body Shop and keep it back! I need to know I’ll always have an endless supple on hand.

This is a creamy hydrating facial moisturizer that smells very fresh (not of carrots). It nourishes your skin while offering protection from the colder air in a non-greasy formula that you can use daily to supply hydration and moisture to dry skin. It’s meant for all skin types but I’m unsure how it’ll suit oily types however normal and dry skin users will love it. It absorbs so easily and leaves my skin feeling so soft and supply after. My face literally drinks it up! It just blends right in, sinking in and absorbing in a snap! It leaves my skin feeling fresh, moist, and ever so slightly dewy.

Beautiful stuff and well worth it’s $8.99 price tag!

Overall, I’m saying you can’t get a cheaper moisturizer. If you’re on a budget and you’re seeking the best, I’d go with The Body Shop Carrot Moisture Cream, truly impressed with this stuff and deem it worthy of a haul.

Total Muse Approval for purchase.

Likey very much!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I have been using this moisturizer for the last two weeks (bought it together with the cucumber freshning water for only E5,- euros each!) and I’m not disappointed. I thought it would be to heavy for my combo skin, but it leaves my skin very soft and moisturized. The area around my nose starts to shine during the day, but I have that problem with every moisturizer, even if they are for combo/oily skin.

This cream is a great bargain and I hope TBS will bring this back for good !! 🙂

miss m! Very exciting! I get so silly when I find something I love 😀 and I’m loving this. I thought it would be WAY heavy and WAY greasy but it’s so fluffy and light and quick absorbing! love! I hope so too 😀 I’ve been using it both as a night and day cream and simply love it.

LOL, I know the feeling ! I get a little silly and exited as well when I discover something new. I just want to share it with the world ! 😀

For example, I tried their Love ect… fragrance and I loved it so much, it’s on my wishlist. It’s such a lovely scent ! 🙂

Yay, I’m glad you like the moisture cream since I’ve been eyeing it! Maybe I’ll have to buy it next time I’m at The Body Shop. Do you have any idea how long The Body Shop Originals will be around?

    • the Muse

em get it, it’s quite good! I really like the texture and formula, so lovely 😀 I dunno 🙁 sigh!

  • Angela

Recently stumbled on to you and subscribed 🙂 I haven’t used Body Shop products since probably early high school (i.e. 6-8 years!), but now I might have to check them out again!

    • the Muse

hey angela. I have to say it’s been a while in between my body shop purchases, I normally head straight for the color cosmetics when I’m at the body shop and forget to look at anything else but the originals collection is truly making my day at the moment 😀 they have cleansers, moisturizers, shampoos, etc…quite a nice lot of items! Banana shampoo and conditioner=AWESOME 😀

Hi muse, is there spf in it? I would try, but I’m iffy about no spf (even in winter!)

    • the Muse

roses no sadly not. that’s DEF my big concern too. I use an SPF beneath when my moisturizer doesn’t contain it!

  • Brandie

Stumbled upon your blog with the bare diamonds collection, I have all the other kits and was thinking about buying that one as well, however i have changed my mind on that after reading your post on it and seeing the colors in action, I am so in love with this blog i book marked it. Posting this comment here since that post was old and I am also going to check this out, I recently got the tea tree foaming wash and blackhead scrub and I am absolutely in love with it! scent is not the best but tea tree oil is not the best smelling stuff in the world but it works! leaves a wonderfully cool feeling on your face and is very gentle. Great job with this blog spent the past hour reading different posts and checking out the products. genius!

    • the Muse

hi brandie 🙂 thank YOU so much for your lovely comment 🙂 *hugs* I’m so glad you’re enjoying those two products from TBS. I haven’t tried either but sounds good for my skin in the Summer, when it’s oily 🙂

It’s a facial moisturizer, and a very nice one I must say. I have been using the Carrot moisture cream as a nightcream for a couple of months and I wake up with babysoft skin every morning 🙂
