Kanebo Kracie Naive Deep Cleansing Oil Orange Review

Hey chicklets!

I’m listening to all your requests, promise! Many asked for my fav picks on the cleansing oil scene. You asked for something inexpensive, something that worked, and something that was easy to find (as in you aren’t running around trying to locate it in other countries because it’s not sold in the US).

One of my personal favs that’s both cheap, easy to locate, and worth it’s weight in gold is Naive Deep Cleansing Oil, particularly the orange one!

Loves it!

I know alot of products I review from Asia are sometimes tricky to locate but rest assured you can easily locate and purchase Naive Deep Cleansing Oil most anywhere on the Internet at around $6 or less. So if you try it and love it, you can easily find it again for a repurchase! Yay!

Honestly, not everyone is willing to shell out quite a nice lump of cash for Shu’s Cleansing Oil. It’s fab but damn expensive. That’s where this bad boy comes in.

In Japan it’ll set you back way cheap and thankfully the price stays within all our budget’s when it reaches the US. I’ve seen it, in some cases, as low as $4 in Asian markets in and around New York or online for less than $6.

It’s really nice cleansing oil and has a fruity orange scent that makes it even nicer, I happen to love scented skincare. It’s a deep cleaning oil that you can use on a full face of makeup. Simply squirt a small amount into your hands, rub on your dry face, wet a little to emulsify, and rinse! Done! Removes blush, foundation, waterproof mascara, eyeshadow, etc…throw your worst at it and it’ll get it off!

It has an almost gel-like consistency and isn’t as oily as many of my cleansing oils. It feels very nice on my skin and rinses clean away. It’s ideal for all skin types so anyone can benefit from use. It does strip a tiny bit so after rinsing your skin will feel a little dry. Simply follow up with moisturizer and you should be fab again! This could of course be a special case for me as in all my time using it, I’ve had the pleasure of reading many reviews that say it doesn’t dry out at all.

The one thing I do not like about it is the packaging. It comes in a squeeze tube and for some reason I find it irritating to use as I’m used to pumping out my cleansing oil. But no great deal as I simply empty the contents out into a pump jar that I purchased from Bed, Bath, and Beyond.

You won’t find a cheap more friendly cleansing oil than this. It’s fab. Very much a Muse Approved one.

Loves it!

Available from Sasa for as low as $5.60, on Amazon for $6.99, and other retails are a Google search away or even E-bay. You can score killer deals, just search around prior to buying.

Anyone a fan?

Hey Muse, do you know what the predominate oil is in this? I’m assuming it’s prolly mineral oil bc of the price…

    • the Muse

sadly rochelle yes. I always find myself hard pressed to locate an inexpensive cleansing oil that does not have mineral oil in it. I don’t really experience any bad results from mineral oil myself. anything with with mineral oil is pretty safe to use and has even been proven not to clog pores so long as your skin doesn’t have a bad reaction to it, you’re pretty fine to use it as it gets a bit of an over hyped bad wrap in my opinion.

      Hope this helps?

    • the Muse

it’s my pleasure rochelle! If mineral oil isn’t good for you, I’d def go higher end such as Shu 😀

  • Emily

Just wondering, is there a difference between makeup remover and cleansing oil?

    • the Muse

hi emily makeup remover and cleansing oil the same thing? cleansing oil removes makeup therefore it’s a makeup remover 😀 does that answer your ?

      • Emily

Yup, thanks! I just didn’t understand if they contained different ingredients or something (like if cleansing oils were oil-based and makeup removers non-oil-based).

        • the Muse

          hey em!

oh well that’s hard to say as makeup removers are such a WIDE array you know? I mean there are creams, waters, oils, foams, etc….so makeup remover covers a very wide variety of products. even eye make up removers have their own category. It all depends on what feels right and best on your face. Some folk like a makeup remover that lathers up, some prefer something that works much like a cold cream which you can apply and remove with a tissue, and others like cleansing oils which you can apply and rinse off. So oil cleansers fall into the makeup remover category and yes are oil based but some cleansers fall into the makeup remover category but are not oil based. So many cleansers out on the market 😀

          hope that makes sense!

I did a big sasa haul recently and I nearly bought this!! But I didn’t >.< I went for a Kokuryudo (spellcheck) one… maybe you can review that next! I guess it doesn't help that I can actually read the chinese comments under the review section in each of Sasa's products.

If the high end stuff like Shu doesn't have mineral oil what is their primary ingredient?

    • the Muse

oh marcy damn! good stuff! next haul you’ll grab 😀 sure!!!!!! I’ll see about getting a review up! LOL lucky I can’t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve no idea. Shu from what I understand has mineral oil in some of the cleansing oils but not all? oh at least I’ve read that somewhere. I’m bad when it comes to ingreds. sniff!!!!!

    dear museeee….
from a fond reader to a great blogger, can I have one of two things?
    1. full access to posts in rss
    2. no click through to full post on the site?

I’ll still be reading- but I would be reading more if I could have one of the two!
    with love!
    Monique

ps. I’m sure there is reasoning behind not doing either one, I’d even take just an explanation. 🙂

    • the Muse

hi monique! thanks so much for being a fond reader 😀

I keep click through posts for a few reasons one of which is load times. I’m running wordpress on a server I have to pay for so if I had 8 posts on my main page without the read more option it would slow down load time and also put added pressure on the server since I use so many pictures per a review. Imagine 8 posts on the main page with about 5 to 10 images per a post…that would be 40 to 80 photos that would have to load each time you visited http://www.musingsofamuse.com I can either choose to remove pictures from the review and say use one or two or use the read more option to keep things running faster. I don’t want to forsake images though as I think that’s what people like about the reviews, lots of photos. OR I can push up the mem on my server but this would cost more $$ and I’m already blowing over $150 a month on it so I’d like to keep the cost in that range.

Secondly, the read more option keeps things neat and tidy on the main page and also allows people to skip over items they do not want to read and just proceed to the next post.

The rss I keep at read more access as I find it entices people to visit and comment on a post, say hello, etc…which is always welcome.

I hope it’s ok with you if I keep it as is 🙂 I def appreciate your feedback on it. I know alot of blogs use these options as well so it’s not only Musings that embraces the read more! 😀

  • monique r.

Totally understandable. Blame Temptalia for sharing full posts in reader. She made me the way I am. LOL.

    • the Muse

hey monique I’ll def consider it once I get my new template up and running 😀

  • Taryn

Hey, that pricey Shu stuff has mineral oil as the first ingredient. You’re literally paying about $60 more for that purty bottle!

This looks great. I may have to buy some when I’m out in California in April…

    • the Muse

taryn do you know which ones don’t? I had heard two don’t have mineral oil! You’re the resident expert on ingreds 😀

  • Taryn

I’m 99% sure Origins’ Clean Energy does not have it and DHC’s doesn’t either. I know DHC uses olive oil instead.

You’re too kind, Muse, to offer your bottle! I have a huge thing of Mandom and DHC that I have to use up, but thank you for the offer! 😀

    • the Muse

yup DHC def does NOT have! Origins I haven’t tried yet grr must get me somes! Omg I have a huge thing of mandom too *smacks head* too many cleansers too little time. my pleasure 🙂

  • PinkyKathy

Asian store near where I live sell it for $9 🙁 Thank you very much for your review. I’ll try it after I finish my FANCL 🙂

    • the Muse

omg kathy jacked! my pleasure hun, get it online, cheaper. Fancl=ROCKS!

  • Ari

I’ll consider buying it online next time.. I purchased a bottle it in a Japanese Market for about 9.50 🙁 too bad I read your review afterwards.

Also, about the dry feeling after cleansing I also had it.. but I guess it has to do with the orange xD or maybe beacuse I have sensitive skin… but I love how my skin feels completely clean and not greasy at all. A good moisturizer with it works wonders.

    Thanks for the info… 😉
