Kanebo Naive Deep Cleansing Foam Peach Review

After my review on the Etude House Happy Tea Time Cleansing Foam many of you had asked for something that a little more easy to locate within the US and also something a tad more affordable. I felt the Etude House one was very affordable BUT since online retailers jack prices up it actually joins the realms of pricey at times.

My solution?

Try out Kanebo Naive Deep Cleansing Foam Peach instead!

Jump!

Kanebo Naive Deep Cleansing Foam Peach can be found in just about any Asian market or beauty store around. I purchase it for as little as $3 bucks at a local Asian market. It’s very affordable stuff. You can also get it online for anywhere from $2-$4 bucks.

The Naive Deep Cleansing Foam line comes in a variety of scents but I thought I’d focus on the Peach since it’s most like the Etude House Tea Time Peach Cleanser I reviewed.

It’s a typical Asian foaming cleanser which has a thick, creamy formula. It suds and foams up like an old time shaving cream (not foaming but more creamy). If you’ve never used Asian foaming cleanser before you’re in for a treat because it really creates major lather.

This particularly version is most like the Etude House one as I mentioned. It has a very slightly peach scent, not as strong as the Etude House one but pleasant none the less.

It gets your face absurdly squeaky clean but you do have to be extra careful with foaming cleansers as they dry out skin like the Sahara desert. I try to use them when I want an extra deep clean but not daily as it’s a bit overkill for my already dry skin.

Overall, if you’re seeking an easy to find, affordable cleansing foam much like the Etude House version, this is your guy! Choose from peach, pomegranate, rose, green tea, grapefruit, and a slew of others, variety is the name of the game here.

I suggest looking for it in and around your neighborhood particularly if you have an Asian community of sorts. In New York the best place to look is Flushing as there are a ton of little stores that carry this for very cheap.

Online check out Sasa as it’s around three or four bucks there.

Do you already use a cleansing foam?

    Hi Muse!

I just got this face wash a few weeks ago from a Japanese market, and I really like it as well! Such a nice subtle scent, and my face feels so nice and clean afterwards. I ended up also ordering the green tea one on Sasa because I liked it so much – can’t wait to try it out~ One question – do you usually lather up the cream in your hands before washing your face? I had been putting it directly on my face before adding water, and now I’m wondering if it might be easier to lather in my hands first.

christine fab-o hun! It’s such an affordable cleansing option! Oh no doll….wet your face first, put a dollop in your damp hands and start massaging in. It’ll work up to a nice rich foam 🙂

    Dear muse,

Does this have the minty sensation?…I’ve tried the green tea one and its fantastic cos is so cooling!

  • Audrey

What great timing. 🙂 My Sasa haul with this included ought to arrive any day now. (Actually it might already be here… have to check with my apt’s front desk!)
It’s going to go to my boyfriend who keeps stealing my pomegranate one to use (although mine is the regular cleanser, not the deep cleansing one). His skin tends to be a little more oily than mine, so I hope it doesn’t dry his face out. He hates using moisturizer, even though I’ve been pushing… but baby steps. 😛 I guess I should be happy enough a former Marine is using peach-scented face wash.

You mentioning Flushing made me perk up. I hauled some Jill Stuart and Anna Sui on my last visit to NYC, but never even thought about going into all those little Asian stores to look for small-ticket items like this. Luckily we’re going back in April for my dad’s birthday, so I’ll definitely be hitting all that up. xD

hey audrey! Yay! that’s fab! You’re gonna be very happy with it. I think perhaps it should actually do him good if he has very oily skin! Aww manly man need moisture too 🙂

Omg Flushing is crazy cool for smaller shops as it has such a large Asian community!!!!!!!!! def head in, you never know what you’ll find 😀

  • Marcy

Hey Muse, this is one of the things I bought on my Sasa haul, so I am happy you gave it a good review 😀 I bought the green tea one…

    • the Muse

marcy you are gonna love it 😀 stop back and tell me the good word when you get it 😀

  • plue

this is actually more exp than EH Peach Foam, cuz I saw this in Bangkok and was retailing RM27 or so after conversion, but EH is only RM14.

But I guess Ebay sellers are evil to jack up the price so much for something that cheap! 🙂

    • the Muse

plue get the EH 😀 this is just for folks who cna’t find EH for less 😀

  • rachel

        • the Muse

noooooo def not rachel. I wish! EH and skinfood would be crazy awesome. My friend has a game shopping on Northern Blvd so when I visit with him I end up making the rounds to see what I can find 😀 But never came across SF or EH sadly! That would be fabs 😀

  • yubarimelon

hmm thats a lot of product you squeezed out there! maybe thats why you find cleansing foam drying? try to use less, maybe it’ll be less drying. just a thought! 🙂

    • the Muse

hi yubarimelon. It’s a review post so I def used more so people can see the detail of the product. Hope this helps.

  • Anny

Hi Muse, do you know the difference between deep cleansing foam and cleansing foam? I want to try out the peach one but confuse what’s the difference ?

    Thanks alootttt

  • Alex

Hi!! 😀 I love your blogs, and reviews for your products.

I am trying to find out which Kanebo Naive facial wash would be best for my skin type. I know this might an annoying question (IM ZOORRRYYYY) but I have combination to oily skin, acne-prone, and extremely sensitive skin (breaks out to EVERYYYTHING) but I’m torn between the Aloe, the Rose, the Peach, the BLUE, or the Raspberry. I can’t find a description of the products anywhere!

Could you tell me a description of which product does what? C:
