The Muse is obsessed with Korean brand, The Skin Food lately. She got a big old box of it on Saturday so expect a few reviews upcoming shortly. Today I’m sportin’ The Skin Food Sweet Sparkling Eau de Toilette and I’m absolutely obsessed with it!

Jump to hear the good word.

It’s easy to get caught up in the skin portion of The Skin Food because after all it’s what makes up nearly 75% of the brand but they also have other fantastic offerings and to my delight a few fragrance options.

The Skin Food Sweet Sparkling Eau de Toilette is unquestionably lovely but it falls victim to the same problem L’occitane fragrances do, lack of linger. A few squirts of this will have you smelling gorgeous but within 30 minutes to an hour you’ll need a touch up. The fragrance obviously lacks enough perfume oil to really hold it’s own in the world of perfume but I love it regardless.

The Skin Food Sweet Sparkling Eau de Toilette is every so slightly masculine. As per the description and it’s name I was bracing myself for an effervescent fruity scent but turns out it leans towards being more masculine yet fresh with a bit of an edge.

Notes of orange, bergamot, peach, geranium, and freesia give it a base of fruit with a very slight floral underlay. Bergamot seems to give it the slight edge which morphs it into a more sophisticated blend rather than a fun one. A fair bit of fruit works itself into the blend but the notes are not easy to pick apart but simply merge into something subtly sweet and every so slightly touched with fruit.

It’s really something you have to smell and experience for yourself to get a real feel for the product but for me it’s borderline obsession. Really loves it.

You can purchase at www.streetchiclondon.com for £17.50. I haven’t used this shop before but it’s the only place I’ve seen the Skin Food Eau de Toilette available for sale. Price is jacked up considerably from retail sadly but the scent is so unique I deem it worthy of an indulging.

What scents are you obsessed with at the moment?

Thanks for posting this! I usually love Skinfood stuff so I am definitely interested in this. I’m going to wait and see if they crop up elsewhere because the price at that site is a little steep.

Have you ordered from skinfood.sg? They ship world wide, but I haven’t bit the bullet yet.

I should be getting my jpmon.com order this week. Thanks for the tutorial!

Hi hi!

There’s a Skinfood here so i’ll pop by to smell this, but I might buy it as an”ambiance” scent :P

Same as all others as I’ve not actually used any perfume on myself for over 10 years other than Chanel’s Platinum Egoist. It morphs into something subtle when I spray it on myself and yes I guess I am obsessed after all these years!

I’m not too keen on perfumes by skin care brands, but I’m looking forward to an array of skinfood products! I love Skinfood, and I’d love to see what you picked up and what you’d recommend, Muse!
