Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Gift Set Review and Swatches

Get your lips Valentine’s Day ready with the new Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss Gift Set.

Yes, I know what you’re thinking and don’t you dare say it out loud or I’ll wash your mouth out with soap! Cheeky girls (and guys)!

Jump!

Soap and Glory has taken it’s cult favorite lip gloss, Sexy Motherpucker (I so have to be careful when I say that and not goof up and type an “f” oops!), and packaged it up in a cute box. You’ll get three Sexy MotherPucker Lip Glosses in Plum, Peach, and Nude.

The glosses are sport a thick, sticky formula which wears quite long. Each gloss is scented and flavored with a bit of chocolate. I wasn’t too keen on the taste my first few tries but have kinda started digging it over time. This isn’t my first experience with the gloss as I’ve had the peach shade for the longest time but never got around to reviewing it. The gloss actually does work. In my opinion it doesn’t tingle or sting as badly as DuWop Lip Venom but has more of a warming effect. Sensitive types should be aware as you never know how you’ll react to plumping glosses.

It actually does work. A cross between the thicker formula and microspheres in the mix creates a fuller looking lip. For the most part all three shades are pretty much sheer and subtle however due to the slight warmth and swelling experienced with use you’ll also notice your lips will become a pinker or redder shade.

I’m not a big supporter of plumping glosses as I always feel it’s the thicker formula that gives the illusion of a fuller lip look. In this case that’s very true but it’s also the slight buzz from the formula that gets lips plumped up rather nicely.

The set is $19.99 and available at Target for purchase.

Overall, worthy of a haul just because I adore Soap & Glory so much plus who doesn’t love a good plumping gloss…land yourself three for the price of two! Nice!

I got the ‘candy gloss’ one which is a sparkly peachy pink colour in a Christmas gift set, its pretty beautiful, but its not that pigmented so i don’t wear it that much. (My lips are quite pigmented so I like to wear lip colours which make them a bit lighter)

I just wanted to share my frustration over the fact that my local Target still doesn’t have One Pit Wonder or the Hot Cloth cleanser. ARGH!

    • the Muse

I have this gloss and I love it!
I have the peach and I think it gives just the right amount of nautral color.
I have naturally thin lips, but this lip gloss totally plumps them. 🙂
    I love it.
And I totally agree, anything that is Soap and Glory is worth it!

    Lol, Sexy Motherpucker gloss!
Imagine someone asking you, “Your lips look nice. What lip gloss are you wearing?”
“Oh that, that’s my sexy motherpucker gloss. You should get one too; you can now get three sexy motherpuckers for the price of two!”

It somehow makes me think of that song in the Flight of the Concords. “Mother ucka” or something like that, haha.

    • the Muse

LOL that would be a stutter-fest fabiola! lol!!!!!!! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! god I love Flight of the concords 😀

    Hi Muse,

I bought two packs of them without knowing that they are going to explode my mouth! How stupid! I was so shocked that my mouth went wrong and thought it was an allergy. T^T

Anyway, now I’m kinda loving it and never go out without one ^^

    • the Muse

omg that bad tangerine lol and you’re still abusing yourself with them!? 😀

  • Gemma

I find these smell a bit like chocolate orange especially the original clear one. Im sure iv read on your blog you hate the thought of chocolate orange, im not surprised you were not keen on the smell lol.
Last Christmas they had a limited edition one called candy girl it was a pink with gold shimmer and had a brush tip instead of a sponge. It was by far my favourite, they don’t seem to sell it individually.

    • the Muse

oh yes gemma and I HATE chocolate orange but I kinda dig the taste 😀 lol you are correct, but they kinda few on me for some odd reason! OMG I never seen that I’d have LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!! sounds lovely!!! sniff wish I had gotten it, I prefer brush applicators as sponge tips are such a pain in the butt to layer with!

  • mercedes
