Beauty Abroad: Maybelline Watershine Pure Lip Dew Review and Swatches
The Asian market can even make Maybelline more interesting…be honest aside from the new quads Maybelline isn’t exactly the liveliest cosmetic brand around right?
But it doesn’t fall victim to being boring on the other side of the universe!
Jump!
Maybelline Watershine Pure Lip Dew LOVES IT! OMG what a nice little gloss…why oh why can’t we have it in the US? I got this little guy off of E-bay Singapore for $3.50! Nice right?
Helpful Hint:
Shop E-bay Singapore’s site and proceed to jot down the item number you’re wanting to haul. Now head to E-bay US and punch the number in, question the seller and ask if they’ll ship worldwide, in most cases they will! W00t!
I got this in 301 which is a bright red shade. It’s honestly not the best lip gloss you’ll try in your life and thinking about it now, it’s appropriately named as Lip Dew rather than Lip Gloss. It’s not shiny or glossy or sticky or tacky, it has virtually none of the characteristics you’d experience with a regular gloss. So yes, dew is about right. It’s dewy, moist, watery, and hydrating…very light on your lips but with enough hydration to give them a moist, wet look. Although the gloss is colored in the tube it applies minus any pigment and sports no flavor or scent (wish it was flavored). To my surprise it sports a sponge applicator versus the typical spatula applicator most Asian brands favor. I’m not keen on the sponge but it’ll do.
Overall, it’s not an OMG life changing product but it’s one of those fab little products to keep in your desk drawer if you have a bit of an oral fixation and are constantly applying and reapplying lip gloss, balms, etc…this offers a nice hint of shine plus a watery texture that keeps lips from becoming dry.
Likey alot!
Check around E-bay to see if you can snag it!
Good stuff!
