Beauty on a Budget: Essence Glossy Lip Balm Sparkling Cherry Review and Swatches

If youre seeking a little lip-gloss you can easily tuck into your purse for quickie touch ups on the go that wont put the squeeze on your wallet, you might consider Essence Glossy Lip Balm.

Jump!

This little guy comes in five flavors and will set you back a mere .99 cents, which hey, for the price you cant beat it. I got my tube in the flavor/color, Sparkling Cherry. It has a nice cherry taste, nothing too sweet or overpowering, but simply a hint of cherry. Its pretty tiny in size which makes it ideal for toting around in your purse, pocket, or desk drawer.

The formula has a nice glossy feel and leaves behind nice shine on your lips without being sticky or tacky. It wears decently long, nothing crazy but you can get three hours out of it if you refrain from drinking or eating. It also sports full color so its pretty pigmented and works easily on its own or over your favorite lipstick or stain.

Overall, Id suggest it for those who have dry lips, desire a glossy sheen on lips with a bit of color, or anyone who compulsively applies or reapplies lip gloss constantly. Its cheap, its tasty, has decent pigmentation, and a nice formula. Granted, nothing to write home to your dear old mum about but nice enough to pick up for quickie gloss on the go.

Likey!

I got one a while back in Sweet Strawberry, which looked like a pretty pink in the tube, but it has absolutely no pigmentation at all =[ wish i had gotten a darker shade cus it is actually pretty good quality. not a big deal, though, since it was only 99 cents! i might just go back and try this shade; looks very pretty!
