Beauty on a Budget: Milani HD Advance Concealer Review and Swatches

Milani continues to impress the Muse with it’s latest Spring releases.

They released 16 new products as you know and I’m slowly making my way through ’em and loving the offerings.

I’ve been using Milani HD Advance Concealer for a few weeks now and I thought it would be a good time to finally tell you the good word.

Jump it!

Oh Noes! Not another HD product. No worries Milani HD Advance Concealer is fab, promise. I know that “HD” worries us all but putting that aside you’ll absolutely love it for it’s price and it’s quality.

It’ll set you back a mere seven bucks or CVS has a BOGO at the moment so buy 1, get 1 50% Off! Sweetness.

What is it?

A typical creamy concealer in a click pen. If you’re a fond fan of YSL and Dior, this should appeal in a major way.

The formula is a creamy, weightless blend that doesn’t crease or age eyes. It blends beautifully well and freshens eyes up. I wouldn’t say the formula was super pigmented so in many ways it works in a similar fashion as Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat by waking up tired eyes but not fully concealing dark circles completely due to lack of pigmentation. It leaves behind a very natural finish, erasing fatigue, and concealing finer lines.

If you’re a fan of Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat I find the two are quite along the same lines just that the Milani is a fraction of the price and YSL’s version is a tad thicker.

I like it very much particularly because it’s not setting me back over $30. Well worth a haul at this price and very much a Muse Approval for purchase.

Good stuff.

Available at CVS or directly from Milani.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m so glad you did this review, because I’d seen a really bad review of it recently and was worried. I went and got it last night and I really like it! I have creases under my eyes, not due to age or anything, I’ve just always had them, and concealer ALWAYS settles into them. But this is perfect! And I like the fact that it’s not super pigmented, since it means it doesn’t even look like I’m wearing makeup, and yet my dark shadows look a billion times better, even though they aren’t 100% concealed. Thanks!

hey hana I’m surprised maybe the reviewer hated the lack of pigmentation as that could prove a prob for some but it doesn’t act as a major concealer more as a refresher in my opinion, refreshes tired eyes 😀 *nods* yes! agreed it’s a more natural finish and lacks that made up look which is great!

Thanks for that great review! However I have to ask what color this is. I’m currently figuring out, which color to get. With the help of a little self tan I’m an NC 20/25 at the moment. Greetings from Germany 🙂

      Greetings from New York 😀

I just bought it! It’s super creamy, unlike other concealers which settles in my creases (nooo i’m only 19 🙁 ), but im not too fond about the pigmentation cuz it seems it’s lacking. but i’ve only tried it on without foundation, so maybe with foundation it will seem better 🙂

hey angela def not super pigmented hun. If you have heavier dark circles you might wanna try something more for ’em!

      • angela

Ahh! I was looking for a review for that D: It’s called Hidden Agenda by Sonia Kashuk and everyone raves about it.. apparently it won many awards? (dont know what awards though lol)

It has bunch of different shades in one palette… I’d love to see you do a review for that one day ^_^
