Chloe Eau de Toilette Review
Oh Chloe you deceived me! With fresh notes of watermelon and rose the Muse was expecting a fruity, sparkling blend from the new Chloe Eau de Toilette. Perhaps something light and cheery….
It turned out to be something oh so much more!
Chloe Eau de Toilette contains notes of Rose, Orange Zest, Freesia, Watermelon, Sandalwood, Iris. What I was expecting was a fresh, light Spring fragrance…
What I got was a timeless piece of beautiful fragrance.
The notes combine to create a feminine masterpiece that’s both bold and natural with reflections of both floral and fruit notes. I really love it and can’t stop sniffing at the bottle as I type this.
It begins with a dominate note of rose but not an overly powerful rose or even a red rose. It’s just a very small note of fresh rose topped with a freesia and iris so that the rose blends in and creates a fresher, cleaner note of floral that’s not easily recognized. Hints of mandarin orange give the scent a more playful edge and offers a bit of lightness amidst all the floral. I fail to get the watermelon note in the entire blend although I can’t help but wish I could as I adore the scent of watermelon.
The scent is complex and offers many different layers. It hints at being playful but also has a bolder note to give it a classy age. The fragrance on a whole is quite floral yet fresh but also has a hint of sweet fruit to keep it from becoming cloying.
I was pleasantly surprised how strong the Eau de Toilette was, it has a good throw, and plenty of linger for such a formula.
Overall, Chloe Eau de Toilette proves a beautiful find for your Spring fragrance wardrobe.
Likey very much!
