DuWop Lip Venom Plumping Paste Review

I love product with quirky little names. See the Muse is quirky by nature so she needs a little quirk in her life from time to time. DuWop Lip Venom…total quirk. It gives me visions of a snake biting my lip and me proceeding to rush to the emergency and shouting, “OMG please Mister Doctor I need some Lip Venom to kill the poison…” That could prove to be too quirky couldn’t it?

Hmmm.

Anyway!

DuWop Lip Venom Plumping Paste is the newest plumping product to hit the pavement.

Have a little jump for it.

DuWop put lip plumping on the map so why not embrace their talent and create a plumping paste to go along with all the other fantastic plumping options they offer.

What is it?

It’s a lip mask to condition, exfoliate, and plump lips, tis the original multitasking plumper kids. The formula includes castor seed oil and hydrogenated jojoba to condition dry lips while jojoba beads exfoliate dead skin. Unlike many lip scrubs this doesn’t contain sugar but jojoba beads to exfoliate with.

The scrub isn’t only unique in formula but also application. Unlike traditional scrubs you aren’t using your fingers to apply. The paste comes in a squeeze tube with applicator much like a lip gloss. Apply using the slanted tip applicator and massage in using it. I find it slightly difficult to massage with the applicator but was also grateful for not having to sit and make a mess with my fingers. After it’s in place you’ll wait 10 minutes for it to take effect.

Yes, you guessed it, stinging will occur.

Personally, I’ve never had a problem with DuWop Lip Venom as it’s one of my favorite products but I do know alot of people who have felt it was just a little too much sting for them. If you’re sensitive you may want to try a little prior to slathering a whole bunch on your lips as it does cause a mild stinging, warming sensation. The product tastes like cinnamon much like the original Lip Venom however I wouldn’t suggest licking or trying to taste it as it’s not a tasty treat, kinda tastes strange on the tongue.

After 10 minutes take a wet wash cloth and wipe off!

The results?

Pretty nice. I seen a small amount of plumping on my bottom lip but it didn’t last very long. The really great part was the fact that it dig a great job of removing the flaky skin I was sporting around my upper lip line and on my bottom lip from having a bad case of chapped lips. My lips were pretty smooth and supple after use.

Overall, if you’re looking for an alternative to the tradtional lip scrub that’s mess-free plus offers exfoliation as well as plumping action, I’d suggest trying this out. It’s $18 and available now from DuWop.

Sigh up for their newsletter as well since they offer certain discounts and deals on Venom products lately!

Anyone try yet?
