Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties G Review

The Muse sadly doesn’t look hawt in a bikini, you know some wobbly bits should stay under cover but she thinks that G is looking all kinds of cute in her bikini!

The newest Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties are all decked out for Spring in their cutest outfits yet…or at least that’s what I’m saying now, I bet I’ll say the same thing when they release new outfits for the next season! Each girl is dolled up in a bikini and just too sweet to resist. My fav part? Their painted tips and toes and cute heart shaped belly button awwww!

Unlike the Harajuku Lovers Snowbunnies, which changed clothes but not scents, the new Sunshine Cuties feature new clothes and new scents! Sweet!

G’s original scent included notes of mandarin, coconut, apple Skin, freesia, magnolia, and coconut cream.

Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties G contains newer, lighter notes which include coconut water, mandarin, white peach, orange flower, vanilla, creamy sandalwood, and mandarin.

My nose feels that regular G and Cutie G pretty much smell similar with one minor difference. Where as regular G has a lighter tropical feel, Cutie G sports a deeper tropical scent with a heavy base of coconut. Yes, regular G had plenty of coconut but I felt like Cutie G had even more of a coconut, tropical feel to it. Although Cutie G has less notes she still comes across strong and true to her tropical roots.

Overall, if you liked the original version of G you might find that Sunshine Cutie G warrants a haul if not for her scent at the very least for her very cute bikini!

Cutes!

Anyone thinkin’ about haulin’ the Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Haha the toes are a bit disturbing, looks like she’s hot some serious cankles.

G was definiatly my favorite out of all of them!! I will def be checking this one out, hopefully hauling.
Which harajuku scent was your fave, “the muse”? 😀

    • the Muse

awww hailee I like her chubby little legs! 😀 I think G is kinda my fav too, love me a nice tropical scent 🙂

  • Fabiola

Well, “G” may have somewhat uhmm chubby legs, but look at her derriere! It’s non-existent! Looks like “G” did some serious workouts at the beach to make her bonbon do a disappearing act on her. I do love the heart-shaped belly button. G’s mouth also appears to be shaped like a heart. She simply radiates cuteness and love, lol.

    • the Muse

LOL you can bounce quarters off her butt Fabiola 😀 awwww she does doesn’t she?! Such a cutie!

  • katros

awww! She has a heart for a belly button–how cute! I want one just cuz 🙂

  • mercedes

P.S. i think you would look great in a bikini!!esp.since your’e so gorgeous 🙂 happy blogging!

    • the Muse

they sure are mercedes. G is probably my favorite she’s tropical and summery! 😀 LOL No way but thanks you’re WAY too kind 🙂 Hugs!

  • Cristi

I wish her butt looked… rounder, I guess? But then again they tried to do the mock-3D thing on her feet and look where that got her. The bottle/cap is super-cute but I really wish her toes weren’t so high up!

  • Katherine @ Lipgloss and Spandex

OMG, the Sunshine Cuties are too freaking cute. I must go try them asap…

  • jackieg02

G is my fav out of all of them. I will def have to peep this out next time I’m at the mall!!

    • the Muse

jackie tell me whatcha think when you sniff I think you’ll likey!

  • stef

I’m a little freaked out that she only has one finger! But the notes are totally making me want to smell this; digit mystery aside…

  • Tiff

Aww i’ve always wanted to own one of these because of how cute they are but I don’t like any of their scents. I try so hard to like one so I can own one of these bottles haha… but it doesn’t work at all! And it sucks because the scents I do like have boring bottles, like L’eau D’issey and L’eau par Kenzo (they don’t even have funky names!).

Also on a side note – I know it was AGES ago since you did your review on the super cute Sana bear concealer that does nothing. When I went to Japan I actually bought a whopping three tubes of that stuff because I thought it was so cute but I found that it did nothing either! After collecting dust for a while I finally found a good use for it: mix with a heavy undereye concealer (I use Sana’s pore putty which is HEAVY, and also the reason why I thought cutie bear would work well because pore putty does) and it smooths on like a dream. Also it resists that cracked look that heavy pigmented concealers tend to get after a while out. Just thought I should tell anyone who happened to be stupid enough to buy three tubes of this stuff… I swear the bear made me do it with his hypnotic cute eyes! He is irresistible. Totally not my fault!

    • the Muse

hey tiff you aren’t alone lots of people adore the packaging but not the scent 😀

OMG that sana bear! I wanna murder him! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved your story and totally understand how you felt about him! The seal is right now looking at me and begging me to buy it with his cute eyes LOL! I can’t help myself when it comes to adorable packaging and seriously the stuff DOES NOT WORK! thanks for the tip about mixing it up, will try it out 😀

  • jenna

i bought this little gal yesterday and i love her! i got the teenie size and its perfect for my purse! i also love the scent so much that i think i’ll have to go buy the larger size for at home! i’m loco for anything coconut – yum yum! thanks for the review Muse!!

    • the Muse

aw my pleasure jenna 😀 she’s a keeper! G is the best of them all 😀

  • Rachel

I’m going to buy it, but only to make sure it smells similar enough to my Snow Bunnies one. I love how that one smells… I’m getting a small little one and if I love it I’m going to get one’a them gigantic testers!
