New in Beauty: Tarte Rest Assured Brightening Wand

I cant tell you how many eye brightening products Ive tried. Hey, sometimes Im working on four hours rest and I need a little something to make me look fresh and semi-awake and of course, even if I fail to admit it most days, old age has a way of creeping its way under my eye area so anything to erase both sleep deprivation and old age is a plus for me.

My next venture into a new eye awakening experience starts and begins with the new Tarte Rest Assured Brightening Wand.

Yes, please, Ill take one if you promise itll wake up these weary, old eyes.

Jump!

What is it?

A double-ended brightening wand, used to wake up your eyes and brighten your dull complexion. Tarte Rest Assured Brightening Wand makes use of a nude-peach pencil to line the inner rim of eyes and combines it with a shimmery pink highlighter to use on cheeks, brow bone, or the inner corner of the eye to erase all signs of fatigue.

Dunno if this one will work to be honest but I look forward to finding out. In my experience most pencil brighteners just dont do the job for me but you never know…

Available now from QVC (A205443) for $22.

Whatcha think?

Have you had good experiences with pencil eye brighteners?

Tarte had this product a while ago, but I’m guessing they reformulated it? Hope you like it!

I haven’t had much luck with products that are specifically used to brighten tired eyes. What has finally worked for me is simply using my winter foundation (which is lighter than my regular complexion) and dabbing it on my dark circles and setting it with powder.

same here ren as far as pencils they never work for me although I do have pretty good success with brightening powders 😀

Uh… Muse, Rest Assured is not new .___.**

I’ve had mine for about a year or so I think and I remember seeing it before at Sephora. I do like the pencil part, I find that it works so much better for me than white eyeliner… for the ‘cream’ part I don’t like it very much. I feel is WAY too much sparkle plus its sort of silvery colored which looks kind of odd on me… I like Benefit’s Highbeam much better for this kind of job.

eh kiera! I’m off my game today how weird I just googled and indeed I see it. Never noticed it before!!!!!!! 😀 ha! New for me I guess. thanks for the mini review 😀

        No prob Muse!

You should really try it! I love the idea that is two in one, if I could I’d probably pour highbeam in the little tube and substitute the original formula and I’d be forever happy xP… however thats just me, see how it works for you, maybe it’ll work better for you

I’ve had this for over a year now.
The pencil is like an ordinary pencil; worse than even drugstore quality.
Extremely painful, and not even generous in dissolving- I had the hardest time getting this to even somewhat mark the waterline.

The cream has about a higher concentration of shimmer than High Beam, and it is a bit tackier.

Overall not a recommend at all ^///^

thanks veronica lemming killed 😀 I always experience the same with pencil highlighters, really hard formula that doesn’t apply smoothly 🙁

      • Veronica

Agreed! I had tried so many, even using Anastasia’s browlighter for the waterline.
Nothing beats Stila Kajal though; It’s an absolute HG, never thought there’d be such a creamy, smooth formula that dissolves and stay well.
