Pretty Spring Palette Alert: NP Set Pretty Presto! Palette Review and Swatches

OMG! Dude! You so need an NP Set Pretty Presto! Palette! Loving it!

Check it after the jump!

Ahhh Im quivering in excitement with this one. I really like it and so think you need to take a road trip to Target to snag one, its too sweet, seriously.

Its really small, really basic, nothing crazy. It has one blush, two shadows, a mini lip gloss, and a mini mascara. When I say mini, I mean mini. These are really tiny so dont expect a ton of product when it comes to the mascara and gloss.

The joy of the palette is both the quality, lack of variety, pretty look it creates, and overall cuteness of its size. Mmm yes I said lack of variety. Although I crave uber huge palettes that house all shades of shadow and the kitchen sink, I still find that sometimes a small palette with just enough, reigns supreme. I find it somewhat odd they released it for Spring as the shades remind me more of Fall but no worries, the look you can create is flawless, pretty, natural, and work safe with a slight playful edge.

You get two shades of shadow with the palette which is a shimmering bronze and a chocolate brown. You can use the shades to create a contrasting eye look with or use the deeper chocolate brown to line with, its entirely up to you. The shadows have a shimmer finish but apply smooth as butter minus fall out woes. They pack plenty of pigment and flatter my brown eyes in a major way.

Although the shadows are gorgeous I found that the bright coral blush was the star of this show. It quite reminds me of MAC Ripe Peach so if you missed out on Ripe Peach, pick this palette for a great little dupe. Although loud and slightly orange in the palette, it applies peachy and pretty, splashing cheeks with a flirty shade of warm peach.

I didnt love the gloss in the palette as its a rather boring milky nude shade. It has a nice texture and leaves lips shiny but the shade just was faded out and washed up when paired up with the other attractive colors in the palette.

The mascara I was worried would be useless as its ultra tiny and small. Open it up to reveal an equally tiny applicator. Imagine my shock after applying I had a full fringe of quite long lashes. I actually liked the results very much. Funny thing is this little, tiny, baby mascara applied better than most expensive mascaras in my stash, go figure! Its a tad awkward to use since its so small but after a curling lashes and applying its well worth it for the finished results.

Overall, NP Set Pretty Presto! was a pleasant surprise for me. I went into this review thinking that it was an uneventful palette and I came out in love. Its a universal palette that youll find yourself reaching for daily as the shades just work well for day to day use plus it has a certain playfulness that still manages to have a natural finish.

Very much a likey!

I guess I’m not the only one who hates bland milky lipglosses?!?!!? ugh….I like sparkle, shine and/or pop! Like:
