Soap & Glory You Won’t Believe Your Eyes Review

I’m one of those types that’s a little wary of putting butt cream under my eyes, yes I said butt. The Muse suffers from a fair bit of puffiness come morning so she’s always on a merry trip to discover the next best thing to ease the puff. I can’t tell you how many reviews, articles, posts, and such have recommended hemorrhoid cream to do the deed…but I am not do desperate I have to resort to butt cream to get my eyes back in order again…

I can’t do it, I simply can’t. I don’t care how models SWEAR by it, I simply can’t bring myself to slather hemorrhoid cream under my eyes.

No way, no how.

Which is why my adventures have now led me onto the next best thing that promises to ease the puffiness.

Soap & Glory You Won’t Believe Your Eyes Serum….hmmm…another gimmick? A good deed sent from the gods above? Something to ease the puff?

Could be.

Jump!

Soap and Glory casually hints on the box that this actually has the same ingredients as hemorrhoid cream but obviously butt cream doesn’t do the trick after all as my eyes are still puffy.

Sigh.

I love you Soap and Glory but sometimes you get me excited for naught.

Soap & Glory You Won’t Believe Your Eyes is a serum for brightening and depuffing eyes. It’s housed in a squeeze tube with three tiny rollerballs as the applicator. Simply squeeze and roll on. The serum is quite cooling and fresh feeling however it does little to nothing aside from leaving behind a trail of iridescent pink. The serum is actually clear but sports a tiny hint of pink which I guess is supposed to brighten the eye area up by illuminating it but in fact makes me look ridiculous if I don’t pat it in place after I’ve rolled it on.

As with most Soap and Glory skin care it sports all sorts of ingredients to reduce the appearance of under eye shadows and tighten skin and brighten up shadows, etc…etc….a little bit too many promises in my opinion when it’s unable to do something as simple as depuff.

I simply love Soap & Glory but on occasion they do fail with a product and this happens to be one sadly. I didn’t experience much of anything using it the past few days and doubt I will with continued use.

Normally when it sounds to good to be true, it is. And sadly Soap and Glory You Won’t Believe Your Eyes simply sounds too incredible to be true.

No likey.

Available for $15.99 at Target if you’re wanting it.

Bummer, too bad you didn’t like it. I haven’t use it but after reading your post I doubt that I ever will. Thanks for sharing your experience.

      hey rosa.

my pleasure. always worth a try for yourself of course as you never know it might work for you 😀 but def not a likey for me!

  • Tinkerchelle

Muse, take it from someone who got suckered into the whole hemorrhoid cream on your face thing- not worth it! It has the texture of petrolium jelly and all it did for me was make the whole area suuuuuper greasy and cause my makeup to drift. Maybe I got the wrong formula or something, I didn’t linger to browse the options, but from where I’m standing, you ain’t missin’ nothin’!

    • the Muse

lol thanks chelle I figured as much! Just the general idea of ass cream on my face sounds totally unappealing 😀

  • Hella

I’m too on the no-butt-cream-under-my-eyes side, but, this thing bothers me even more… The ‘alien invasion’ applicator looks too scary to me 😀

    • the Muse

lol hella. it does have a little weirdness going 😀 I actually kinda like it…sorta innovative now if the formula would just work!

      • Hella

You just have to find the secret combination of rolling the balls and the aliens will send you an year-round fresh eyes look 😀 Seriously, I’ve tried 2 rollerballs so far and neither worked. I suffer from really dark under-eye area and nothing seems to be able to lighten it up, except for the occasional cold tea-bags…

        • the Muse

hella I’d kiss the aliens butt if they can get me fresher looking eyes lol! yay me too..garnier..and something else? now YSL has one too! gasp!

          • Hella

One of DM’s own brands, Alverde, has one with sea algae. I got it as a gift with another of their products. I just don’t like these balls, and besides the textures are too watery to provide adequate hydration.

          • the Muse

*nods* agreed hella the watery texture does not give enough hydration in the least!

What kind of tea do you use because I suffer from dark under eyes REALLY badly.
Ever since my little sister was born I’ve had a mothers aptitude for being woken up by the faintest of noises and I’ve been searching for a cure for EVER!

      • Ariana

i have used it and think it works absolutely fine,it really did brighten up my eyes and i also got soooo many compliments on my eyes and how more awake they were.

  • Gemma

Ha ha i tried this for a good month didn’t do anything apart from make my under eyes shiny bluey purple. Such a shame.

    • the Muse

LOL gemma same here but I got pink eyes LOL! damn shame as I love me some soap and glory! how are u btw?!

  • Claire

My friend seemed to have a bit of success with this, so persuaded me to use it one morning instead of the SK-II advanced eye treatment film I have been using for the past 6 months. The only thing it did was send me running to the bathroom 4 hours later to apply my eye treatment film after seeing my sorry state of an under-eye area using this, haha!

    • the Muse

aw claire same here…really did NOTHING! 🙁 and I love S&G so much but sadly didn’t see much with this le sigh!

  • Niky

Ive been using YWBYE and so far its only left me with a shiny, puffy undereye but it DOES make my undereye feel refreshed. Still looking for a depuffer though.

    • the Muse

niky sadly still have not found something to depuff but keeping hoping!

I read some reviews on another beauty site and decided to buy the product. I have bad dark circles and puffy look. I am disapointed with the outcome. Not only it is not effective, it just add colour under my eye, but suddenly under my right eye it has brought out dry red sore itchy bumps. Under my left eye I have used a different products and I had no allergy with that product. I was comparing the two. Tried the product again a few months later and once again itchy bumps! My Pharmacist says I may have an allergy.

I find soaking a couple of cotton wool pads under cold water and placing them on my eyes until they warm up works better than any products I’ve used for puffiness but it does not reduce the dark circles.

hi i tried this it worked a bit so……i decided before throwing yet another product in the bin i would see what happened if i used it a lot of times!!! so first i rubbed it in with fingertip then applied it stroking outward only about 10 times, i did this several (5-6) times about every hour…..omg it actually worked, i looked in the mirror and my eyes looked less baggy enougth for e to be very pleased 🙂
