The Skin Food Lettuce and Cucumber Water Mist Review

The Skin Food Lettuce and Cucumber Collection has wormed it’s way into my heart these past few months and it’s pretty much my staple skin care product of choice lately.

I’ve eagerly collected each piece offered from the collection since it makes my face do the happy skin care dance, you know that dance right? The one you do when you discovered the perfect combination of products to make you have a good skin day, everyday.

I recently hauled the The Skin Food Lettuce and Cucumber Water Mist which is quite nice but has it’s downfall.

Jump!

The Skin Food Lettuce and Cucumber Water Mist suffers the same faith as The Skin Food Fresh Juice Toning Mist with it’s small size. It’s around $8 or $9 retail in Korea I believe but the size is absurd for that price and the mist can easily be used up within a week or two with constant use. No fun.

Aside from my rant about the size, I generally like the mist as a refresher and as a hydrating treatment prior to moisturizer.

The mist comes in a aerosol can and provides a nice fine mist to face and body if you want. The formula isn’t incredibly moisturizing but it’s a very nice mist for nourishing your skin and prepping it prior to moisturizer or makeup. Or if you wear mineral makeup it’s ideal for setting it and giving it a fresher, natural appearance.

Overall, it’s a very nice mist be I probably won’t indulge in another can due to it’s smaller size. I can think of a million other mists that do the same thing, are available locally, and are larger in size.

Very nice but not worth the hassle of tracking it down, having it airmailed, etc….

I’ve seen this on E-bay for pretty much retail plus shippping.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Which one is nicer for hydration and refreshment the Fresh Juice Toning Mist by Skinfood or this?

  • Lady Godiva

I just got the Vita-A mist from Skin Food (145ml for approx. US$6.60) and I think it’ll last me a good while… and I like the secnt, AND it feels pretty nice on my skin. I wouldn’t usually buy a toner mist with alcohol in it (I like Lush’s eau roma water and other flower waters the best) – but since my Lush Eau Roma water leaked badly on the way to the airport q few months ago (their packaging is NOT the best), I needed something and this is not bad so far. I think the price is okay – certainly better than the smaller Lettuce & Cuc one, which is a shame as it sounds really lovely :-/
