Try This Out For Size: Avon Advance Techniques Radiant Brunette Illuminating Haircare Review

What’s up this morning peeps? Tis hump day w00t! Dont tell anyone, but I kinda like the word hump, oops did I write that out loud?

Before you know it the weekend will be here, thanks to the gods above and maybe if youre lucky the Easter bunny will pay a visit to your house carrying a basket full of makeup or if youre a bad girl (or boy) youll get marshmallow peeps! God, I hope I was a good girl because lord knows I cant stomach marshmallow peeps.

I have to get my hair in order and get my Easter bonnet out, something big with ribbons and flowers and sprigs of green….yes that should do the trick.

Speaking of getting my hair in order, dude, did you know Avon has $4 shampoo?

Jump!

Yup, tis true, Avon has super cheap hair care, ha who knew? Im all about the makeup and my main hair care of choice is Lush so Im not in the know about what goes on outside of that realm but I was kinda digging the fact that Avon has budget friendly shampoo picks. Cool beans!

They actually have a True Blonde and Radiant Brunette Hair Care line so you can choose either of the two based on your hair type. Sorry, purple, blue, and bright pink dont count as official hair colors, even though the Muse thinks they should.

Avon Radiant Brunette Illuminating Shampoo is a mere four bucks and features a unique “brunette complex”, who even knows what that means but it sounds damn important which reveals and illuminates hair color without actually adding or depositing color. Basically it takes your own hair color and makes it look its best.

Avon Radiant Brunette Mask ($5) is a moisturizing mask treatment which you can use in the shower for three minutes. It boosts shine and softens hair while smoothing it and enriching your natural color.

Avon Radiant Brunette Silkening Balm ($5) tames tresses while unlocking the richness of your own hair color and enhancing highlights while nourishing and protecting all shades of brunette hair.

Avon Radiant Brunette Hair Care and Avon True Blonde Hair Care can be purchased directly from your local Avon rep or online at shop.avon.com

Price is right, might as well try it out for size right?

Anyone already using Avon hair care?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ah, Lush haircare… I was really into using the Big/Veganese combo, but it strips the color out of my hair so badly. 🙁 I tried a couple different solid shampoos but other than Gentle Lentil (love!) None of them really did it for me either. Washday Greens was another love that just stripped the color out of my hair too much… ahh, the love/hate thing I have with Lush.

For the record, I think Peeps are tasty the day you open them, but once they get all hard… yuck. And they are so cute! 😛

it strips my hair period jonnie 😀 I use big to clarify only once a week as it makes my hair like straw 😀 love gentle lentil too! and new and godiva 😀 I think most all Lush strips hair color majorly 🙁 particularly ones like big and washday greens!

      Dude…do not want peeps…LOL

I heard on the radio yesterday that those little black Peep eyes aren’t even digestable. Sorta scary…

    Never liked peeps. Blech

I remember back in the day (my grandma was an Avon lady) I didn’t buy some of their shampoo–probably just the dandruff kind. I do remember they had a specific haircare line for any ladies blessed with silver hair to keep the yellow out.

Although anything called silkening balm is calling my name.

yuk kate, yuk. no likey! this is my 1st time tryin’ it, not so bad. Wish it was silicon free 😀 the balm is good to tame the frizziessss!

They’ve only found one compound besides stomach acid that dissolves peeps, and it doesn’t dissolve their eyes… they watch you from the grave!

  • Lienke

I have those 3 products but I’m not that happy with them.

I also like Avon and plan on putting up some reviews on my site as well. Glad to see you like some of their things too.
