Beauty Abroad: Rimmel 1-2-3 Looks Mascara

So I don’t like dialing up the phone. Call me and chances are you’re getting the V-Mail VIP treatment. I bloody HATE talking on the phone, sincerely. I just don’t have the patience for phones and such and I just love staring in wonder at people talking on their cell at the supermarket, the bank, and in the bathroom. Wow, are people THAT important that they have to have a cell phone glued to their ear 24/7?

Anyway!

I’m telling you all this because indeed I hate dialing however I could get on board with dialing up my mascara!

The new Rimmel 1-2-3 Looks Mascara brings a bit of dialing to your beauty table.

Check it!

Much like the Avon Spectra Lush Mascara (Review) this mascara offers three options to get lashes looking glam!

Simply twist the dial to 1, 2, or 3 to get your desired lash volume!

Level 1 gives you 3x’s the volume for a seductive day time look. Level 2 gives you 5x’s the volume and Level 3 gives you the most dramatic results with 10x’s the volume! Phew!

This dialing I can get on board with.

Rimmel 1-2-3 Looks Mascara is available within the UK but I imagine we’ll see it over yonder soon. The Muse is going to grab one before it hits US shores so you can see if you REALLY need to dial or not when it does arrive.

Whatcha think?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. okay robyn doesnt understand the concept of wanting either 1 or 2 id be 3 always!

but guess its kinda cool if it works the avon one doesnt though my freind had it you not tried it?

    • the Muse

hey robyn. I did indeed review the avon one 😀 I still wanna try this though!

  • Coral

I love Rimmel’s mascaras for the most part. I actually like the idea of being able to choose. I don’t necessarily always want a 3, like when I go to work. It’s so nice to have options without having multiple mascaras… But who am I kidding, I always like multiple mascaras. I can’t resist.

    Mascara gimmick? Sign-me-up!
In related news, I was in the Face Shop yesterday and picked up their new Transforming Mascara which has a twist wand. You start off applying the mascara for the first coat which coats your lashes with product, give the wand a twist and the bristles contract (become closer together) and then you do a second coat, theory being that the bristles closer together help to comb through, separate and declump any lurking clumps. I bought one but haven’t cracked it open yet as I have no less than 19 other new mascaras to try! The details are on the face shop’s homepage (in Korea but with a good picture).

      LOL bora agreed 😀

I see the new Face Shop one and was trying to debate if I needed it 😀

  • Comrade_Garlic

Didn’t Maybelline have a mascara like this many moons ago? Dial A Lash or something like that? I liked it it could go from natural to falsies in a snap.

  • Elena

There was a Maybelline mascara called Dial -a-Lash, intensity from 1 to 10. It was my favorite! Maybe this could be a good replacement for that oldie fav.

  • Libby

I’m very curious about this mascara, along with the Maybellline Falsies, which claims to give you full, dark false eyelash eyelashes if that makes sense, hehe 🙂

When you’re able to get your hands on one, please post a review immediately, Muse! I’m sure all the girlies would love to know if it lives up to the PR & hype!

    • the Muse

hey libs! I seen this and curious ’bout it myself 😀 but of course my dear! Gonna get a friend to airmail me one over 😀

  • kali

LOL. I don’t like talking on the phone either. I never pick up. I get missed calls daily and people get so mad! =P I guess I’m just scared that if I pick up, I might feel obligated to talk for hours and hours. I also hate the sound of ANY ring tone. I don’t care if it’s a normal ring, a cool beat, soothing music, or my favorite song -I HATE the sound of phones. Why? No idea.

As for the mascara.. I wonder how it’ll actually even work! It seems gimicky.

    • the Muse

kali ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if they wanna say something come see me LOL

ya agreed but we shall see! 😀

  • Lillian

I’m with Robyn, the concept sounds cool but i know i’d never wear 1 or 2, i’d always just be dialing all the way to 3 😛

  • BV

I keep seeing this advertised and it does interest me… unfortch is retails for about $20 US dollars here in Australia so I just bought another Japanese one (MyOpera I think it is – also a “dial” thingie on it) from Sasa instead for half the price. Heh.

Mobbys are convenient but I sometimes hate the things. It is like being on call 24/7 with the expectation that you will pick up. I’ve seen people on the phone in the toilet talking and it makes me laugh. Hang on – was it life or death? Does your caller really want to hear toilet sounds?? Ha.

    • the Muse

omg bv OUCH price! Myopera is a nice mascara a good friend of mine got me one a while ago and I loved it! LOL exactly! Jesus! i mean I watch people at the supermarket blathering on and I’m like SERIOUS is it that important?!

  • DivaShop

WAHAHA! I hate talking on the phone too, so I totally understand! This mascara does look interesting. I’ll be waiting expectantly for your review! 🙂

    • the Muse

hey gloria how are you 😀

ugh me too!!!!!!!! I hate texting as well, drives me NUTS!

  • DivaShop

Hi! I actually don’t mind texting so much since my phone has qwerty keypad, but I only do it here & there. However, I’ve never understood how someone could text non-stop & be oblivious to everything else. I can easily become that absorbed in a book, but texting? Nah.

  • Shellie

I heard that Almay is coming out with a “dial” mascara ~~ Almay One Coat Dial Up mascara. Has anyone seen or heard of this?

    • the Muse

haven’t seen that one shellie but look forward to it 😀

  • Colette

I have this Rimmel 123 Mascara … its launched here in the UK not so long ago. The one is perfect of work or day wear, and what I normally do when wanting a more dramatic look is put my first coat on at 1 and turn it up to 3 for my second coat! As much as I normally love Rimmel mascaras, I found I’m having to comb through after using as it is a bit gloopy on the 3 setting! Apart from that its a good mascara, but Avon’s SectraLash which also has this 1 2 3 options is a far better mascara and works much better! These however are 2 of my fave mascaras overall! 🙂
