Best of Lush: What Should I Buy From Lush? 27 Lush Products You Should Try and Buy

Its no great secret I simply adore Lush Cosmetics. I get asked a lot what are my favorite Lush products and its a little difficult to just randomly compile a list and comment about it. This post is actually made up of 27 Lush Products I think you should try and buy!

Jump ahead for it!

  • Lush Washday Greens

Best shampoo every for de-greasing and clarifying hair. Has an irresistible minty green scent with a thin runny formula that lathers up nicely and gets hair in tiptop shape!

  • Lush Vanishing Cream (Review)

Ideal moisturizer for oily skin types or those seeking a lighter moisturizer for Summer wear. Mattifies skin with a cool lavender herbal scent. Oily foreheads be gone!

Buttery smooth cleanser that emulsifies and breaks down makeup. Does run a tad greasy and may be overkill for those who have pores that easily clog up but dry skin types will adore it!

  • Lush Godmother Soap (Review)

Missing Lush Snow Fairy? This will get you through the year until Christmas when Snow Fairy Shower Gel reappears!

  • Lush Comforter Bubble Bar

One of my very favorite bubble bars because of it’s huge size and gorgeous scent! To me it smells like a big old new eraser, like the ones you got when heading back to school! It’s quite big so you can easily get two baths from one bar.

  • Lush Sexypeel Soap

The sexiest lemon scent you’ll ever smell! Sweet, tart lemons, ’nuff said!

  • Lush Sexbomb Bath Bomb

One of my favorite bath bombs because of the sweet little “surprise” after the bomb melts away (I won’t ruin it for you and say what it is). Sports a soft jasmine scent that’s truly girlish and lovely!

Lush Retread Conditioner (Review)

Lush’s thickest, creamiest conditioner! Gets locks tangle-free and soft sans silicons!

  • Lush Antiphilitron Shampoo (Review)

You may have a hard time saying the name but you’ll love the effects this shampoo has on your hair. Clarifies and cuts through oily, greasy hair with the power of lemon!

  • Lush Back for Breakfast Shower Gel

One of Lush’s best shower gels in my opinion! The sweet, tart scent of lemons to wake you up in the AM!

  • Lush Baby Face

Lush Ultrabland in solid form this be! A massage bar for your face! Dry skin users will rejoice and adore the soothing, softness that comes along with using this. However, be aware for those who’s pores easily clog up!

  • Lush King of Mods Hair Gel (Review)

One of my fav ways to keep my wavy, curl hair in order!

  • Lush Ice Blue Shampoo (Review)

The cooling scent of mint to clarify hair and get it deep, down clean!

  • Lush I Love Juicy Shampoo

100’s of fruits squeezed into a single bottle of nourishing shampoo for your hair!

  • Lush Gorgeous Moisturizer

One of Lush’s most expensive moisturizer and also one of it’s best. A skin miracle I deem it!

  • Lush Ginger Fragrance

My favorite scent of all time, mind you not for everyone, if you enjoy unique, sensual blends!

  • Lush Fresh Fharmacy

Got spots? This will clear up your face with a single use! I keep this stashed around for the occasional crop up of a pimple or several, it honestly works wonders! Best part about it, is you can use daily as a preventive measure for future outbreaks but be careful as it does dry skin out without proper moisturizer after use!

  • Lush Dr Peppermint Shampoo Bar

Although he’s for dandruff I enjoy using the good doctor because of his minty fresh scent!

  • Lush Dark Angels Cleanser (Review)

Ideal for spotty, oil skin but easily enjoyed by all! It’s a MAC’s Volcanic Ash dupe, so if you’ve used yours all up grab some of this and you’re golden!

  • Lush Curly Wurly Shampoo (Review)

For those of us with frizzy, flyaway wavy hair and curls! Weights and smooths curls down for beautiful hair instead of a frizzy mess!

  • Lush Candy Fluff Powder

A flirty, girlish scent for dusting onto your body!

  • Lush Buffy Bar

Perfect for scrubbing away dry skin on legs, knees, elbows, heels, feet…anyway you’re sporting dry, rough skin!

  • Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub (Review)

A beautiful way to get lips back into shape when they are dry or chapped!

  • Lush Breath of Fresh Air Toner

My favorite toner from Lush! Hydrates and preps for moisturizer in a snap!

Perfect clarifying treatment for those who are sporting serious buildup or ideal for those with thinner hair that are in need of some serious volume!

A great way to keep skin glowing! I use it after my normal cleanser to get my skin squeaky clean and keep it spot free!

  • Lush American Cream Conditioner

A silicon-free conditioner that will keep hair free from tangles sans build up!

  • donna

you should totally check out onebathandbody.com it’s a new bath and body line that just popped up at target. all organic and super cute. it seems similar to lush.

      • Ricci

That site completely copies lush’s massage bars & shampoo bars ,
not sure if I like that or not
        however the packaging is cute

        • the Muse

hi ricci these are original lush items not copies?

          confused haha..?

          • Coralee

I think she meant the other site that’s placed up here 🙂

      • Ranata

Do you recommend and cleansers for me that you know will work very well for oily and acne prone skin?

      • Sophie

Visit lush.com for the online site- there you can look at the products and find your local shops.

  • Shana

Does Big really give you that much volume? Ive been thinking about trying it?

    • the Muse

shana big makes my hair like a big puff! 😀 haha! But it’s also REALLY drying for me and I end up with straw hair if I don’t follow up with retread. It varies from hair type to hair type but for me it clarifies really well, produces super volume, but also dries me out fiercely.

  • Kristina

Oh my gawd Muse! I’ve only tried 2 Lush products because we don’t have a Lush anywear near me. I figured some Sugar scrub thingy and Vanilla Delite lotion were safe bets so that’s all I ordered. You listed so many things that I want to try now! Good thing Mother’s Day is next month and my Bday is in June…

    • the Muse

ha kristina 😀 TONS of great goodies to try from Lush dear girl! They have 15% off your order until the end of the month so maybe you wanna give yourself a little early bday gift!

  • Wendy

Thanks so much for this! I’ve never set foot inside of lush and never ordered online because I wanted to feel the products, you know? I’m going to a place with a store in the next 2 weeks and now I have a mental list of some good products!

Side question: Someone recommended Buffy to me for getting rid of cellulite? I thought it was strange. They said scrubbing helps to remove the toxins and buildup that causes it, apparently. What do you think?

    • the Muse

hey wendy my pleasure dearest. I totally understand how you feel. I like to touch, smell, etc…! it’s 15% Off online hun so maybe you can head to the store to sniff and play and order online to save $!

I heard this too…I don’t actually think you can scrub away cellulite 😀 but one can try I guess lol! I know it works wonders on my dry bits just not sure it made much different in my cellulite 😀 hehe!

      • Brianne

It’s not the scrubbing that reduces cellulite, it’s the act of massage! Studies show that regular massage of an area with cellulite can help reduce it, and having smoother skin also slightly minimizes the APPEARANCE (not the actuality of it) of cellulite. So massaging with a scrubby product = cellulite reduction 🙂

    • kate

Yes! I didn’t know what I’ve been missing (apparently)! There are as many Lush stores as Starbucks here in NYC. Must make time at lunch today! Thanks Lovely Muse.

  • Jaci

I would have to add Lemony Flutter to that list. I use that stuff religiously and my nails have never looked better.

I am going to have to try the toner you recommended. I used to use Clinique’s toner but got out of it and since I’ve moved south I’ve noticed my skin is a lot greasier.

BTW, I LOVE articles like this.

    • the Muse

hells yes jaci! forgot! and also smitten 😀 snowcake smelling hand cream YES PLEASE! 😀 forgot to add those 😀 if you’re oily by nature try out the Lush Tea one that’s good stuff!

Aw thanks! I’ll be sure to do more best of posts!

  • jylove

how do you use the soaps? do you just grab it and rub it on your skin or break it off everytime? The look of some of the products confuse me…

    • the Muse

jylove just like any bar of soap. Hope in the shower, wet, lather, rinse hun 🙂

  • LINDARRAGNAR

Oh muse I love lush like I could really use a 1,000 shoppping spree there

not gonna lie I’ve been using american cream for 2 months now and its become one of my favourite conditioners, + the smell ;] . I tried buffy hated it for some reason I prefer aqua marabilis. Have to agree angels on bare skin is so nice, one of their best and gorgeous is PERFECT!! The first time I used it I used too much cuz I dind’t even know I had any product on my finger cuz its so light <3

for some wierd reason whenever I get curly wurly its orangeish brown I wonder why in the picture its read (hopfully I'm not getting old prodcut)

  • Robyn

i keep wanting to try a shampoo bar just cause they look fun are they more of a hassle compared to normal shampoo ?

and oo your tempting me with all those lemon things i love lemon!

    • the Muse

not at all robyn! quick swipe on your head and you’re good. they are incredibly fun to use and great for travel 😀

      love lemon too 😀

    • dawn

Robyn – Karma is an awesome hair bar! Truly magical…Makes styling your hair a dream. I would recommend getting the tin to store it. Also I reshape mine with a curve once it’s softened. This is to stop it from staying moist and wasting product. You could use a soap case for storage as well, that would work. They are just wonderful.

  • knownever

I love lush shampoo bars they are perfect for traveling. I think I might have to try the Baby Face moisture bar. I’m actually sick of all the scents of their massage bars but love the lotion/bar concept.

  • Brianne

I’m still a LUSH newbie, I’ve only recently been getting into them but I have to agree with the above comment about Lemony Flutter! I tried it in the store and when I checked my cuticles later in the day I was just floored!

Ultrabland was recommended to me since I have combo skin that is picky, but woah that stuff broke me out SO bad. I’m having much better luck with using Angels on Bare Skin (but only in the morning, I use something else at night as I don’t think AoBS gets a deep enough clean for my nightly cleansing!).

    • the Muse

AoBS is awesome Brianne 😀 def a good one for keeping skin clean and happy! I don’t cleanse with it but use as more of a treatment a follow up after fully cleaning!

  • irini

hello muse this post rocks 😀 however it may sound stupid, but im unsure…does the bath bomb get emmm destroyed after one use only?im sorry but i have no lush in my country but i was thinking of ordering some and yes 😀 thank you

    • the Muse

hey irini aw sadly yes hunny. what happens is it fizzes away to nothing. As it fizzes away it colors your bath water and scents it plus adds nice oils and such to the mix so you’re nice and hydrated after your bath. But sadly it’s only good for the one use doll!

      You’re most welcome love!

  • dina

oh noooooo, i have been avoiding the lush site so i don’t cave and buy one of everything as i don’t think i’ve tried any of their stuff before but you are not making it easy muse!! look fwd to cking them out in-store soon 😛 thanks 😀

    • the Muse

hey d! what up doll? Feel like it’s been ages since I talked to you and it’s only been a few days ha 😀 but but but it’s 15% off your total order…you NEED lush 😀

      • dina

i promise my upcoming jaunt to the city will include lush 😀 hey ck my email fr sat. when you get a sec, includes good reason to be running around in circles!!! 😉

        • the Muse

hey d 😀 gotta get to emails 😀 but def need to haul LUSH! you’ll love!

  • Jessie

Hmm I love Queen of Hearts soap, currently using the cinnamon solid shampoo, hates Jungle conditioner and loving the caca’s. And that sums up my experience with Lush. Muse, recommend me a conditioner for tortured curly hair?

    • the Muse

oh forgot about QoH soap jessie and new! both favs 😀

Try retread after curly wurly…it’s the perfect combo!

  • jackieg02

Hey Muse! How have you been?

My personal favorite Lush item is The Olive Branch shower gel! I seriously can’t live without it.
I will def have to try some of your favorites that I haven’t tried yet.

  • JordanMayTwigs

I am so glad that you didn’t mention Honey I Washed The Kids Soap!!!
    I don’t think it’s all that great,
It left my skin feeling greasy almost.

    Products I’ve loved::
    Tea Tree Toner
    Avo Bath Bomb
    Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar
    Angels Delight Soap
    Karma Soap
Karma Kream [[ For Winter ]]
    Lemon Flutter Cuticle Cream
    The Blonde Solid Shampoo

    xx
    JordanMayTwigs
    <3

    • the Muse

Oh some of those def are favs of mine too jordan 😀 Lemon Flutter, Angels Delight=LOVE!

  • Talya

    Hi Muse!
LOVE your site – it is my GO-TO for any and every cosmetic purchase I am considering. THANK YOU!!!

I am a huge Lushie… My top picks would be :
    – Caca Brun or Caca Noir Hair Henna < — I REFUSE to use any more drugstore dye because this stuff makes my hair look and feel amazing and helps me avoid allergic reactions that I get with regular dyes!
-Coconut Deodorant Powder <– Not for heavy duty sweating but otherwise lovely.
-Honey I Washed The Kids solid perfume. SO YUMMY!!!
    – Chocolate Whipstick Lip Balm.
    – Mask of Magnaminty (I remember that you didn't like this one so much – but it is a GODSEND for me!)

My boyfriend is also hooked on the Cosmetic Lad Moisturizer.

This was a MUCH longer comment than planned but I've been meaning to comment for SO long. I read your blog every day and tell all my girlfriends to check it too. You kick ass! Thanks again!
    xo

    • the Muse

AWWW Thanks Talya 😀 Cheers! *hugs*

Love Honey I washed the Kids 😀 I actually use the coconut deodorant powder on my feet too, light dusting before slipping flats on 😀

I like MOM too but never see any crazy great effects from it 😀

Aw geez talya you totally made my day with such a sweet comment, THANK YOU!

  • plue

LOL! as i go through your post, i haven’t tried any of them! The Back for Breakfast does seem awfully nice, but I have too many body washes and stuff right now.

Don’t think UK site has it, hm?

    • the Muse

yea they do little sis under retro shower gels 😀 yes me too ugh SO much products!

  • Jamie

Just wondering…how do you get to the 15% off part? I’m not seeing it… =(

    Thanks!!

  • Bonnie

I had never really used Lush until I found your site, Muse! Now I’m hooked, as you know. I would say my faves are Snow Fairy and Snowcake shower gels, Vanishing Cream (only moisturizer that’s ever been OK for my uber-oily skin), and American Cream conditioner. I’m still struggling with their skin care, though–Coalface has probably worked the best for my oily, perpetually broken out skin-although it has not worked perfectly! I tried Dark Angels and I think the abrasiveness of it made me break out more unfortunately. 🙁 I think I might go to the Lush store and see if they can recommend a regimen for me. Maybe that Cupcake mask? Isn’t that good for troubled skin?

    • the Muse

hey bonnie aw so fab you like Lush now 😀 I really like Snow Fairy/Snow Cake too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have you tried Smitten Handcream? Smells just like snowcake 😀 Cupcake is good for troubled skin yes. I’ve never had success with lush Facial masks but they are raved about and yes the store can DEF give you a good idea what sort of regime you should embrace dear 😀

    • Ariella

HI! fresh pharmacy has changed my life and my skin! no joke. after 1 use. magic.

  • Constanza

    Hello!!
Just found your blog and I’m already loving it.
Thank God Lush has a store here in my place (I live in Concepción, Chile), and a few month ago I went to the store and a very nice girl attended and guided me. I’m 21 years old and I have combo skin (oily and sensitive, weird mix) and a few spot here and there… a really nightmare if you think that every product for spots is pure hell on the rest of my face leving it very tender and red.
I bought Fresh Farmacy, Tea Tree Toner and Vanishing Cream and OMG!!! My skin has never been better!! These products can control the oils, the spots and not “hurt” my skin, leaving it clean and soft.
I used to only buy soaps, now I wouldn’t put my face in any other brand’s hand but Lush.
I’m just waiting to finish my shampoo and conditioner so I can but stuffs for my hair.

(Sorry, English is not my first language :))

  • Alli

Muse…I don’t have words to tell you just how fab you are!!!! You have made all of my LUSH dreams come true!! Ok, a ad dramatic, but seriously, you have really made me happy. I am in love with LUSH and it saddens me that I do not have a store near me…so, the only time I get to check things out in person is when I am in a random place where there is a store 🙁 But, that doesn’t stop me from ordering online occasionally. I am currently in the process of putting together an order and I am having the hardest time deciding…you would think I was making a hige life decision or something…so hard. Wish I could get some samples from a store to try some things before I buy them…hard decision for skin care…
some of my faves though are Karma Komba shampoo bar, sof touch (being discontinued – sad), Snow fairy shower gel (of course), strawberry feels forever massage bar, ultrabalnd…I could go on and on…hey, what do you think of the olive branch scent?
ok, sorry this is so long…I feel like I have a LUSH sistah!!!

    • the Muse

lol alli hi my lush sistah! ;-D I’m so glad you’re enjoying lush. I love discussing it with fans of the brand ;-D I’ve been using it for years and it’s a great love of mine. I’m sorry about no stores by you le sigh but at least you know you get really fresh stuff when you shop online so that’s a plus ;-D

Be sure to put a little request into the gift box/special notes area when you checking out requesting samples as sometimes Lush honors this ;-D and includes requested samples. Snow Fairy w00t my fav too! I’m not much of a Olive Branch fan to be honest 😛 but it’s ok! My fav is back for breakfast ;-D if you’re looking for a great shower gel!

  • Jessica

There are two things in that list that I’ve used, which is sad considering I’m a huge Luch fan >_<

I agree with Breath of Fresh Air. I have no idea what I did without it before!

I often use it in the morning when I'm still feeling sleepy and the scent of it wakes me right up!

And Angels on Bare Skin? I LOVED it when I first used it, but it did end up been too messy for me, but still the love is there!

    Jessica

  • Casey

I LOVE Lush! I have very very thick wavy/curly hair that I straighten daily and I have dry skin. My favorite products are:

    – It’s Raining Men Shower Gel
    – Enchanted Eye Cream Moisturizer
    – Rehab Shampoo
    – American Cream Conditioner
    – R&B Hair Moisturizer
    – Sympathy for the Skin body cream
    – Lovely Jubblies (I know a breast cream sounds kinda retarded, but it’s AMAZING…I use it on my neck, chest and breasts, it really works!)
    – The Honeymooner massage bar

  • Reb1234

I LOVE lush i’m looking for some citrus products for my upcoming haul 🙂 🙂 suggestions?

  • Anna

After reading all these comments and watching Lush product reviews i think i will become a Lush-a-holic!

I once go the lip sugar scrub as a birthday present, but my 6 year old sister nicked and ate it all, I guess it really is irrisistable.

Are some of the products worth the prizes though? I whatched this video and even though i’m from the UK not US one of the products were $30!

    • Coralee

Thirty dollars is pretty cheap for an all organic, hyper allogenic product. Their most expensive product is Gorgeous, ranging at $99 dollars, but at lush what you pay, really comes out in results.
It’s so much better for your skin than the drug store cleansers.

  • stezz

Yep, I’m a lushaholic! My favourite products are:

    – Dream Cream moisturiser;
    – Rehab shampoo;
    – I Love Juicy shampoo;
    – American Cream conditioner;
    – Shimmy Shimmy massage bar;
    – Ultrabland makeup remover;
    – Skin’s Shangri-La face moisturiser;
    – Cosmetic Warrior face mask;
    – Vanillary solid perfume;
    – French Kiss bubble bar;
    – Miranda and Honey I washed the Kids soaps;
    – Angels on Bare Skin face scrub

I also loved the Ginger perfume and Ooh la La soap until they were discontinued!

Lush products are addictive! I was eternally grateful when they opened a store in my home town so now I can touch and sniff before buying.

  • Jamez

I’d love to know if you have any updates/additions/changes to this list!

  • Manal

    Hi,
    Lovvvve this post, sooo helpful.

Can u recommend me something to get rid of black knee?

    Thanks a lot

  • Manual

    Hi The Muse,

    Well posted.
Can u plz recommend me best lush product to lighten dark knee?

    Thanks a lot

  • Missa

Got hooked on CoalFace, Sexy Peel, Sea Spray (for hair) and my absolute new favorite is Alkmaar soap. Wasn’t quite sure about it in store and got a sample piece and now total addiction. However Lemony Flutter was an instant love affair. My daughter (5) adores the Fun playdoh soap and the blue one knocks her right out after shower/bath time. We love Lush and are glad to see we aren’t the only ones 🙂

    • Natalie

You get Alkmaar in America? Not fair! That was stopped in the uk years ago. 🙁 they might have brought it back, but not at my closest shop 🙁 I loved that soap. So did my mum. When she found out it was being stopped, I think she bought about 70 worth.

  • Jody

My favourite lush products are vanishing cream which you stated, but what do you think of rub rub rub? I’m not a body scrub user normally, but after the woman In the shop demonstrated it on me, I walled round town sniffing my hand for the rest of the day! It’s also moisturizing so you don’t need to do that after either! Needless to say I went back and purchased some of my own. Also r&b is another favourite which I’ve used for years and I’m only on my second pot! It’s a hair moisturizer ans I just put it on the ends of my damp hair and blow dry, and it makes it sooo soft and the smell stays until you next wash it, even if it’s 4 days later!! It smells amazing!

  • Katlin

    Hey Muse,
I love your website so much! This is always the first place I check for reviews on products I’m interested in! Do you know any lush products(Or any other brand really)that will help fade the sun spots on my face? I’ve tried so many expensive products and nothing works! Thanks for all your reviews, they have really saved my skin!

  • Charmaine

Love your reviews.. And we even get to enjoy the same ideals… But I sorely miss their YUMMY! YUMMY! YUMMY! Body wash… They are to die for… Any idea if there will be retro in their shelves soon!?

    • Isabella Muse

they are actually doing away with retro products 🙁 because they are launching the lush kitchen in the US soon!

  • Madeline

Muse, I’ve been following your blog ever since I got into Sephora and started looking at swatches of products, only to see your beautiful face pop up in every google image search testing these same products out! Now that I’m getting into Lush I’m so excited you’ve reviewed their products as well!

Now on to my favorites, I must say I absolutely LOVE Ocean Salt, Sugar Scrub, Hot Toddy, So White (shower gel), Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze, Blue Skies bubble bar, and most of all STAR LIGHT STAR BRIGHT BATH MELT, soooo much goodness in that one little star 😀

    • Isabella Muse

lol thanks Madeline for the follow and the flattery, you do my ego well 😀 haha star light is a little miracle 😀 fab favs chica thanks for sharing 🙂

  • Jenny

I discovered Lush while on a business trip in Canada last summer. There isn’t one product I’ve tried I don’t adore. I splurged on the Gorgeous face cream with a Christmas gift card and I am in love. Also love the Grass shower gel, Ocean Salt scrub, Volcano foot mask, Magnamimty face mask, and the Breath of Fresh Air toner. Love love love.

  • Dee mazzola

Where can I buy your products near Fort Myers Florida.I know. You are in Sarasota.

  • AK

    Hi
Could you please suggest if there are any fairness cream for dark skin especially for face.

I don’t want to got for any other products which contain chemicals. So I prefer only Lush.

    Cheers,
    AK
