Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation Review

The Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Collection has hit ASOS so I did some hauling and purchased the concealer and foundation recently.

I already reviewed the concealer and wasnt too impressed to be honest. I imagine youre curious what I think about the foundation right?

Jump!

Im a big fan of Bourjois Paris 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation, loves it, so Id say that Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation fits right in with that as they sport very similar packaging and formulas.

Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation sports a mix of “fruits”, I use the term loosely, to promote a flawless complexion for up the 16 hours of wearing. The mix includes apricot for radiance, melon for hydration, apple as an antioxidant, and ginger for energy. Lots going on here right plus even 8 hours of moisture!

Heres the good….

Its a fab formula and youll love it if you like 10 Hour Sleep Effect. Its not heavy coverage but still sports a thick formula. Youll probably see sheer to medium coverage with this but nothing more. Its not particularly pigmented but its enough to give your face a nice even, smooth, flawless look. Its blends beautifully and feels very hydrating on the face. Best thing about the foundation would be packaging in my humblest. It comes in a pump that allows the foundation to flow easily when depressed, just enough comes out so you aren’t left with a big gob of foundation, quite fuss and mess-free.

The bad…

No way is it lasting 16 hours! It oxidizes on me within 4 tops, I believe I get a little more wear time from 10 Hour Sleep Effect than I do this. I got the lightest shade and even that felt a little too muddy beige for me so it sort of made my skin look a little tired once it was in place and I sadly didnt experience any brightening or radiant looks from it.

Why you might like it…

You might like it if you love 10 Hour. You may also like it if you enjoy lighter coverage thats moist and dewy. These are a few reasons I liked it however I was left feeling it was missing something overall. I was kinda hopeful the antioxidants it contained would temporarily erase dullness and make my skin look brighter and fresher but no such luck.

Its a nice foundation but I probably wouldnt purchase it again once I ran out. If youre gearing up to buy a Bourjois Paris foundation at the moment, might I suggest you lay your money on 10 Hour Sleep Effect and skip out on Healthy Mix.

Have you tried it?

I’ve never tried any of the Bourjois base products because they always seem to have that weird beige colour going on 🙁

I said I loved it earlier, but after a while I can see the weird yellow effect. I’m really very white and 51 seems to dark for me after all.
I’ll try BB creams next, already ordered the Missha one. For summer, that might be better than a heavy foundation anyway.
    Too bad… 🙁

At the moment, I mix this with my LSF 50 Kosé Lotion and it works nice as a sheer coverage.

I just recently bought the “Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect” and it is the best foundation I have ever trued. Its amazing. i paid 32$ for it but it was worth it. it gives you nice coverage without you looking cakey and it leaves you skin looking airbrushed and flawless. Defiantly a good buy.

I bought the healthy mix.. and I hate it… I bought the lightest shade but it has a disgusting orangish undertone … yuck.. also after a few hours it turns me into an oil slick and doesnt cover anything! 🙁 I ve just bought the guerlain parure extreme foundation, havent tried yet but I hope it’s better…

I got some of their products at Ulta as they are discontinuing the line, either at Ulta or in general, not sure which. I love it! The foundation looks flawless on me. Not sure why, maybe it’s just a good match for my skin type. Anyway, for me, big thumbs up. I got the medium beige and I have fairly light skin, but it just works.

I just bought this in another formula – it’s called Healthy Mix Serum Gel foundation and I love it! It does not last quite the whole day, but it makes my skin look so nice I can forgive that. Sort of natural, healthy glow.

I saw a lot of people recommend this foundation from Bourjois and one even said it’s comparable to Chanel vitalumiere foundation which unfortunately is discontinued. It’s such a shame T.T
