What is it?
A collection of four playful eyeshadow shades of color in one palette!
The Good….
I’ve actually tried Cargo Shadow Quads in the past and quite like them. The colors in this particular palette are super vibrant and bold. You get a white for highlighting your brow area, a sea foam green and a teal for contrasting on lid, crease, and v, and a purple for lining lower eyes with. The shadows are all super pigmented and velvety smooth. They apply very nice and blend easily.
The Bad….
Although the shadows have a beautiful texture at times they can be a tad tricky to blend out or blend with other shades because the formula dusts off your eye easily when applying too much pressure and in some cases colors tend to blend together a little too easily making it difficult to contrast. They wear well enough but a gentle hand wins the race when you’re doing a full look with all four shades in the palette.
Below I used all the shades in the palette but as you can see the blue tended to run right into the green so I didn’t get too much contrast sadly 🙁
Who might like it?
- Anyone who loves vibrant shades of eyeshadow that comes in fours!
- Anyone who adores the Cargo brand!
- Anyone who wants a fun, fresh palette for Summer to create some bolder eye looks.
- Anyone who’s a beginner to the world of bolder shades of shadow.
Who might not like it?
- More experienced shadow users who don’t have the time or patience to deal with a chalky formula that slips and slides around alot during application.
- Anyone who doesn’t like bolder shades of shadow such as teals, greens, and purples.
Final thoughts…
Overall, I thought the palette was gorgeous for Summer wearin’ and tearin’ but was every so slightly disappointed that I had to be so patient during application as lord knows I’m not a patient girl. The shadows are super on their own but trying to use them together I created a little bit of a mess. I can’t resist the killer deal you get from the Cargo Pro Picks Kit though which includes this palette and several other full size Cargo products.
Quite nice, just takes a little patience to get it right.
Available exclusively from Ulta.
