Cure Dry Under Eyes: Shills Avocado Eye Cream Review

Only in Taiwan could you discover an extra rich eye cream that won’t break your beauty budget!

Dry under eyes? Shills Avocado Eye Cream, you need it!

Jump!

What is it?

An extra rich eye cream created by Taiwanese company, Shills, that’s enriched with vitamin E and natural avocado oil extract.

The Good…

This is fabulous stuff and it’ll only set you back $6.50, seriously do you know of eye cream that cheap? Only in Asia my friends. I actually paid less as I purchased at retail but Sasa has it for that price and honestly its worth the purchase for that price tag. Its not enriched with crazy cool anti-aging ingredients so don’t get too excited but it is one of the richest eye creams you can get away with using that won’t give you a case of milia seed woe (educate yourself on milia seeds with this golden post from my friend over at Viva Woman). I recommend it to anyone who has very fine lines created by dryness. I learned very early on that my fine lines are actually even worst when my eyes are dry and in most cases I can cure myself of this problem simply by adding in extra moisture. If you have 1. extra dry eyes or 2. finer lines due to dryness, this eye cream should be ideal for your problems. The formula is very thick so a little goes a long way, it absorbs fairly easy into your skin, and works beautifully well at night to refresh and hydrate eyes. Its 15ML in size and packed full of product so you can probably get an entire year or more out of a single little jar since a little goes a very long way. I use this off and on again from my normal eye cream when I need a little extra moisture as it really delivers a high burst of nourishing hydration while still remaining gentle enough to not make my eyes look tired, hooded, or creating milia.

The Bad…..

Nothing bad about this unless you hate the fact that it doesn’t actually contain any real anti-aging ingredients but merely treats dryness.

Who Might Like It?

  • Anyone who needs super duper hydration under their eyes!
  • Anyone who wants a rich eye cream to moisturize their dry eyes.

Who Might Not Like It?

  • Someone who wants a moisturizing, anti-aging formula in their eye cream.

Final Thoughts….

For me its a win. You can’t beat the price and its a refreshing change from applying my regular eye cream as its one of the richest eye creams I own that really delivers incredible results for moistening my dry eyes.

Loves it!

Worth your buck!

oh goodie! now this is something good!

i have been looking for a good eye cream high and low and settle down for Clinique All About Eyes Rich. Cost me rm130. >_< Working so far, but not good enough for the price i pay!

Hate those fine lines, don't you? 😛

  • Stel

Definitely getting this, I’m currently using pure avocado oil under my eyes at nite, this is less messy for traveling, and it’s cheap too! 🙂

heey~ sounds interesting… avocado? eye cream? i first thought of the kiehl’s one 😉 but THAT one is really much too rich for me (milia…eeew).
so which eye cream do you usually use besides the shills one? i switched from touche eclat to the bobbi brown creamy concealer kit. now my under-eye dry spots are more visible :_( so really looking for a good anti-dryness eye cream!

i ususally use the shiseido bio-performance super eye contour cream (long name..) but it doesn’t seem to have any effects. i think i liked the nars one. i’m so on the lookout for a good eye cream *sigh*…

um, it looks exactly like the kiehls eye cream with avocado – including the packaging and text….

    • the Muse

yup shills has been known to dupe brands especially Benefit Catherine.

  • Tiff

Oh nooo! This sounds like exactly what i’ve been looking for (cheap, rich eye cream) but every time I go on Sasa I feel like I need to buy $75 worth to get the free shipping.

    • the Muse

no problem. prob best suited for night wear. under concealer may be good but you’d have to have super dry under eyes and use a little ;-D

  • Tracy

Dont you think it looks awfully like Kiehls’ avocado eye cream ? Even the packaging ! Wonder if they have similar formula !

    • the Muse

yup it was mentioned a few times it looked quite like kiehl’s version ;-D but no surprise there tracy as shills has a ton of items that also mimic Benefit packaging, exact dupes ;D!
