Lush for Spring & Summer 2010

I remember Mark Constantine (Lush’s founding father) saying that creating new products for Lush each season was like revamping the entire line. As we near Spring (can’t be Spring yet with all this bloody rain) and Summer, Lush will bring us a big release of at least 30-40 products I imagine but until that time I have brief glimpses on what you can prepare yourself for.

Last week I told you about new bath bombs, a new cream for the girls (breast cream), and some TLC products for your tootsies.

Jump ahead to experience some more new Lush.

Try a trial-size sample of our Charity Pot hand and body lotion, made with softening Fairtrade organic cocoa butter and almond oil to make your skin feel lovely, and it has a scent youll want to sniff all day long. Every penny that you pay for it – excluding the VAT, which goes to run public services in the UK – will go into our Lush Charity Pot Fund, which is then given to the various organizations we support.

Our tokens to the forest deities are green, fizzing toner tabs with uplifting grapefruit, sweet orange and neroli oils. Drop into a bowl of hot water and enjoy the sharp, citrusy blast of oils. Your face will be toned, refreshed and a little closer to the divine.

Tame your mane with some smooth R&B stylings. The tropical butters and candelilla wax will help to moisturize and control frizzy, flyaway hair, but R & B works to soothe dry scalps, too, with calming oat milk. And once you smell the orange flower, your hair will well and truly get its groove back.

Dont worry; the apocalypse isnt coming quite yet. Brimstone is a deeply fragrant, hardcore body scrub, with natural sulphur to condition the skin and keep the body clear. The cleansing China clay, exfoliating sea salt and calming hemp oils shall rain down vengeance on sins of the flesh and lead you back onto the path of righteousness.

Gotta say that Lush R & B Hair Moisturizer sounds rather fab! Not so sure about Brimstone could prove mega harsh on my skin plus hemp oil tends to smell gross!

I look forward to seeing more bombs and bubble bars released but that’s some what ironic since I hate a bath in the warm weather. Much more keen on a cold Winter’s night!

Whatcha think?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I wonder if the charity pot will ever have a different scent? I unfortunately do not like the current one.

I am so excited. I recently became a fan and I am there at least once a week.

Exciting! I like the look of Brimstone and A Token to the Forest Gods!

OMG A Token For The Forest Gods reminds me of RPG times and my good ol’ Zelda days!! (Only GB Zelda, no Ocarina of Time for me :_( ) I MUST OWN THEM ALL!!

Oooh, that R&B stuff looks tempting. Is it a leave-in? I’ll wait for your review (and for it to come to the US), but I think it’s something I might end up grabbing!

did you do a review on this R & B? I was able to score a sample if it, but the SA only told me that it was used on dry hair to kind of piece it out and add a little more definition. I have to say that I tried it on my dry hair (I have wicked curly and frizzy hair) and Ir eally didn’t see any actual benefits or it doing anything to my hair to help it out. Is it a leave-in? or am I missing something?
