Project Combat Oily Skin: Urban Decay De-Slick In a Tube Review and Swatches
So you got oily skin….poor you.
I only deal with oily skin when the warm weather comes a callin’ but let me tell you I feel for those of you who struggle with it daily, horror!
I tried out the new Urban Decay De-Slick In a Tube and I gotta say it might be HG (holy grail) for oily skin girls far and wide, bloody fine stuff!
Check it after the jump!
I gotta say this is unlike any facial primer I’ve tried before. It’s a lightweight gel that has a very unusual texture and feel. It’s going to be a little difficult to describe this but let’s see…
It doesn’t feel silicon-like at all but has more of lightweight formula that doesn’t pill (roll off your face in tiny balls) or flake. The gels smooths onto your skin and instantly reduces shine and oil. As you apply you won’t feel it becoming powdery upon dry down as in my experience most primers with silicons have a powdery finish. This leans towards feeling like a super soft clay with a hydrating finish but don’t let that fool you as even though it feels slightly moist, it still manages to completely eliminate oil and shine. I wore it on two very warm days and it stuck around on my face for around 8 hours of wear and towards the end of the 8th hour I needed to blot my forehead a little bit. It’s probably one of the longest wearing primers I own.
It’s supposedly formulated to tighten pores but I don’t have larger pores so I couldn’t say for sure. It does create a very smooth working canvas for make up and doesn’t feel as strange as silicon primers normally feel on my face nor does it break me out or make me want to itch, again this is the effect on silicon primers on my skin.
I wish I could describe it a bit better but it’s really something you need to try to understand fully. I will say I was rather majorly impressed with it. The only thing that I was disappointed with was the $28 price tag for such a tiny tube but I can see this becoming something I repurchase again and again as it works and that for me is priceless.
If you have a really serious problem with oily, shiny skin I highly suggest checking out Urban Decay De-Slick In a Tube. I have a feeling it’ll take over pretty much any other primer you currently use and love.
I could fairly guarantee this will be a new cult favorite for Urban Decay a la Primer Potion.
