I’m a huge fan of olive oil. I warm it up a bit and massage it into my hands & feet and then wear soft gloves & socks to sleep. I use olive oil on my legs, ankles, elbows…just about everywhere to stay moisturized & soft. I also drink LOTS of water. Would love to win this!

    How cute!

Not much of a secret, but I keep body butters and handcreams *everywhere*. Right now I have a coconut body butter from TBS and a Korres Japanese Rose body butter in my cubicle at work, a grapefruit body butter from TBS on my nightstand, a BBW body butter in Black Raspberry Vanilla (not fond of this scent in body butter form) at my computer desk at home, and a tin of Nivea cream in my car glove compartment.

  • Crystal

I love to customize my own scrubs so that they smell good while exfoliating and moisturizing my skin. For example, I add a couple of drops of lavender essential oils to plain epsom salts and mix in some of my favorite Korres Showergels and have a sweet smelling, scrub!

  • Nina

After coming out of the shower, I immediately slather on some body oil or lotion. I also wear sunscreen!

  • JessicaH

heh skin is the largest organ in our body we gotta take good care of it!! both internal and external routine are needed! So first i start internally, eat healthy organic food, as little fast food or oily food as possible. Then, remember to eat a lot of fruits to obtain the essential vitamins for healthy skin. Then lastly we need to work from the external! Keeping out skin clean is very important, also I do a monthly or biweekly body scrub/face scrub! then lotion immediately after shower!

  • Sandy

I slather myself with a wonderful goat milk body cream from Crater Lake, custom scented with grapefruit and coconut. It smells so good I look forward to using it every day, plus it softens and moisturizes my skin without being sticky or greasy. Love love love!

  • donna

I exfoliate and moisturize RELIGIOUSLY. And I drink plenty of water. That’s my only secret.

  • Mimy

I always follow my daily skin care regime everyday plus extra pampering with natural skin care masks like honey and olive oil. All natural antioxidants!

  • Kristina

How do I love my skin? Sunscreen! My skin is pasty white year round (because of that and the fact that I’m inept when it comes to bronzers and self-tanners). I also regularly exfoliate and moisturize of course.

  • Paloma

Not much of a secret, but I tend to stay away from tanning beds, and I know that wearing tons of makeup on a regular basis clogs your pores and in turn makes the aging process for your face go a lot faster….so I try to wear as little makeup as possible.

  • Caroline

I “Love My Skin” by: Using my rosacea medicine as directed by my derm!! *Try* not to pick at my face, wear sunscreen when outdoors for long periods, use a body polish in the shower and moisturize everywhere daily. Not too secretive, but…

  • Kelly Ma

my secret is apply eye candy by Marie Veronique Organics, the products contain essential oils and really help to relieve dryness around the eyes and I like that it works well with my sensitive skin. I use a gentle clenaser, essential oils to moisturize. I also drink lots of water and use sunscreen I think that helps too.

  • Pes

I make sure to exfoliate my body twice a week so I don’t over exfoliate and cause drying. Thanks!

  • Phyrra

I keep my skin out of the sun. If I’m going outside, I slather on the sunscreen, the higher the spf the better. I moisturizer the hell outta it too.

  • Karli

I don’t really have a “secret”, I just exfoliate and moisturize religiously!

  • Christine

I drink lots of water, and make sure to keep my skin moisturized with lotions during the day and night. I also make sure to put on a rich body cream after showering! Another “secret” I have is that I have to consciously remind myself not to touch myself to help prevent pimples from popping up.

  • Audrey D

For a quick way to look refreshed and awake, I splash my face with cold water.

  • Liz

I exfoliate several times a week, moisturize as needed, and use sunscreen. It seems to be working!

  • paige

Exfoliate and Sunscreen…but I have to admit, I was lucky enough to get good genes…my granny was a smooooth beauty in her 90’s.

  • Monica

I love using Queen Helene’s Mint Julep mask once a week. It is super affordable and makes my skin glow=)

  • Christina

I guess my routine is pretty basic: sunscreen everyday and oil or cream right after I get out of the shower and before bed at night. Otherwise, LOTS AND LOTS of water, even though that doesn’t necessarily translate into very moisturized skin all the time.

  • styleezta

haha 😀 i moisturise with different lotions. yu-be on my feet, nivea on my body and falling in love lotion on my arms.

  • Katros

I think this is so cute! I would love to win it.
Let me say that I am quite older. I am 48 and have five children, two of which are grown and have left our home. Now, I know a lot of women say this “I don’t look my age”. I do. I look exactly like what a well kept 48 yr old should look like, and not a day less. Well kept up.
I haven’t washed my face with soap or cleanser for over a year. I only use olive oil to take off my makeup (emulisfy the MU with the oil and wipe off with tissues) then I massage with castor oil and remove with very warm wet white washcloth. Every single night. Then I add moisturizers.
For my Skin on my body, after I shower, I dry off while standing in the bathtub with a wrung out washcloth that has baby oil on it. That leaves me damp. When I am completely dry I apply a body butter. Yes I use sunscreen every single day! I also never leave the house without sunglasses over my eyes either (protects your delicate eye region!).

  • Tiffanie L

No true secrets..but I just make sure to always have lip balm and lotion up right after my shower

  • Karina

  • angela

moisturizer and sunscreen are a girl’s best friend! also drinks lots of water and eat lots of fruit 😀

  • imprompturoses

    Sunscreen, water, and rice!
Sunscreen in my moisturizer every day, about 10 cups of water a day & once in a while, soaking my hands/face in the water that’s cast off when washing rice. It’s supposed to be great for evening and lightening your skin tone. Even if it doesn’t work, it’s fun & feels fantastic.

  • Audrey

I ALWAYS moisturizer after a shower, and I wear sunscreen religiously.

  • bebelastrange

I rely on the beautiful Thalassa, Which in English is the Sea. I feel like i’ve discovered a natural healer for almost any skin problem. I live in Greece an in Florida. However during the winter i any always loking for the best skin care products. Lets have it Olay Total Effects!

  • LauraG

My secret is that I almost NEVER wash my face. Just cold water! The only time I wash my face is to remove makeup, and then I used a gentle eyemakeup remover, and olive oil on the rest of my face. I also moisturize religiously, and put on SPF 25 every morning, and SPF 85 whenever I know I’m going out in the sun! I am young (20) and I really am starting to love my skin for the first time ever!

  • Jini

California weather’s been really dry lately, and when I went to Vegas for a few weeks, it was even drier there! So I’ve been using lots of body butters and creams with olive oil, shea butter and avocado. On my face, I use moisturizer with sunscreen (at least SPF15) and use a moisturizing face mask once a week and a gentle exfoliating one twice a week. For face masks, I’m a huge fan of Skin Food, the Korean company! Baby soft, protected skin that belies my actual numeric age. 😀

  • Sandy

i wash my body with an exfoliating sponge and a natural soap i buy on etsy. immediately after my shower i apply vitamin E oil. For my face i use avalon’s vitamin c gel cleanser and use a touch of avocado oil (keeps my skin soft without making it oily) with my oil free mousturizer in the winter. in the summer i use a touch jojoba oil (it mimics the skin’s natural mousturizer so my face doesn’t get too shiny) with my mousturizer.

  • Julianna

A TCA peel at the dermatologist every 3 months. Makes my skin glow, and I get to peel off my dead skin (which, I’m not embarrassed to say, is exceedingly satisfying)

  • Piper

One of the ways that I pamper my skin is by soaking in a hot bath with either a bath bomb or some japanese bathing powders!

    nettysgirl at gmail.com

  • Jennifer

I love my skin by drinking lots of water and making sure to wash my makeup off every night, no matter what! I know it doesn’t sound like much, but there are some nights when washing off your makeup and doing the skincare routine you know you need feels like too much work 🙂

  • Suri

I make sure to moisturize after I get out of the shower, I slather my feet with heavy cream and wear socks to bed and I always carry and use hand cream after I wash my hands (Avon Silicone Glove rocks!!!!)

  • Megan

I keep my very pale self out of the sun, wear sunscreen all year round, and always keep my skin well hydrated with lotion. I also drink plenty of water and take some quality vitamins in addition to a reasonably healthy diet. Flaxseed oil and biotin supplements in the diet seem to make skin glowier for me.

  • princess

It is important to have a daily skin care regimen. A well-balanced diet, drinking lots of water, proper rest and consistent exercise are also important to overall health and how my skin looks.

The first step to healthy skin is proper cleansing. im always gently wash my face two to three times a day with Olay Total Effects Cleanser to remove excess oil and dirt from the surface of my skin.

Instean im finish with my own choice of toner to get a deep clean to minimize pore appearance and control excess oil. And finally, replenishing with an Olay moisturiser is important for all skin types. And now im continue using my current Olay moisturiser.

3cheers for ollay total effects.it complete my life………….

My “secret” is the Queen Helene grapefruit and avocado mask combined right after exfoliating with LUSH Ocean Salt. The combination works really well for me.

    🙂

  • kylie

  • Grace L

    1. Slather on a ridiculous amount of st. ives apricot facial scrub all over my body.
    2. Take a loofah and exfoliate like theres no tomorrow!
    3. Organic body butter on my heels followed by thick socks, olive oil on my hands (massaged into my cuticles) and copious amounts of body butter everywhere! haha I’m a sucker for lotion and hand cremes.

  • midnightaffair

i religiously give myself at-home-facials 🙂 nothing brightens and tightens your face better~

  • Ally

I have a home spa day at least once every week. It’s a few hours of me time consisting me and myself only (bf and bff not welcome :D).
    The secret is–there’s no rule.
Having no set routine, I could be giving my face/body a choice mask/pack as I run bath water. Sometimes I indulge in a Lush bomb or Shu Uemura Yuzu bath oil. I read books or play DS in bath. Sometimes I even take a nap in bath XD Long showers are great to experiment with different exfoliators.
For me, the point of these ‘me time. is to appreciate my body and my skin 😀

  • Jessie C.

    tcarolinep at gmail dot com

  • Jennifer L.

Although its not much of a secret, I always always wash my make-up off before bed and put on a good moisturizer! Sunscreen is also a must in the daytime!

  • Sara

Water! Eating healthy! There’s no real secret for me. Be good to your body, and your body will be good to you. (Or in this case, your skin.) 😀

  • Nadine

I exfoliate my face regularly and I apply lotion to my hands when they’re slightly damp to help it spread more easily.

  • krianne

i do a dry body brush once a week and then detox my skin by soaking in epsom salts afterward then scrub with a peppermint body wash. i use a scrub on dry skin right before i get int he bath 2 shave and then use the conditioner as a shaving cream (makes legs silky smooth and extra soft) then i moisturize with a mixture of aloe and olive oil after i shave. i usually just get in the shower i try 2 use body washes that claim 2 moisturize skin in the shower and i use a bath glove for exfoliation. 3 days a week i wear a honey mask through the shower. after i get out i put on olive oil all over the body and then castor oil on the feet (socks on right after i do this). i am also a vegetarian and since i have become ppl say (even in the winter) that my skin just glows. i also get at least 20 minutes of sunshine (w/o suncreen and usually in the morning when it isent blazing) each day. Afterwards i use my suncreen that i have mixed with a little bit of vitamin E and whipped shea butter (100% natural). thats what i do….every week *smiley face*….Oh and i dont drink soda and i only drink juice that has been diluted with water….so mostly just natural tea (w/ stevia) and water for me……ok now im done *lol*

  • Shefali

I “love my skin” by drinking lots of water and washing my face twice a day. I NEVER go to bed with makeup on. I use lotion on my body every single day. I wear sunscreen on my face everyday. I eat as healthy as I can, and being vegetarian that’s not too hard. I also don’t touch my facial skin all the time because it causes pimples and blackheads. In addition, I have never smoked and don’t ever plan to. I know that ruins your skin too.

  • grace

i just stick with the basics. water, good diet and exercise!! it’s always worked for me~~ (and i always drink lots of green tea :D)

  • Ally

After washing my skin and drying it, I immediatly apply lotion and then let it dry. I also apply a gradual sunless tanning product that just helps give me skin a little extra glow wihtout too much color. I then let that dry, and apply sunscreen before going outside. Exfoliation is also important so I do it pretty regularly. I also try to limit my sun exposure to keep my skin healthy. Eating and drinking right (or trying at least) is also important!

  • Andrea

  • Sheelah

Hi, I’m in my mid 60’s and since my late teen years have always used a 3 step system morning and night. Cleanse, tone and moisturize — day cream with spf for daytime and night cream at night. Doesn’t have to be expense, takes only a few moments — feels great. People tell me all the time that I have clear smooth lineless!! skin. Of course I do see some lines, but feel good about my face!! Love, Love to try new products!!!

I drink lots of water and take vitamin E- it’s supposed to help from the inside.

  • Nicole Greene

I drink TONS of water and only use OLAY moisturizers and cleansers on my skin!

  • Pamela S

Unfortunately I’ve not always been the best at caring for my skin. But my #1 hint is to make sure to ALWAYS wear sunscreen when outdoors. The sun does so much damage to skin. Thanks.

  • HilLesha

I know many people have said it before, but water is the way to have great skin. I’ve noticed that when I don’t drink enough of it that my skin breaks out easily. Also, coconut oil is great for the skin…and hair! 🙂

  • Christine Sarkauskas

I use facemasks once a week to help with my oily skin

  • Joanne Schultz

I drink plenty of water so my skin stays hydrated without moisturizing constantly.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Mary Ann Linder

My skin has seen some years, so I must use sunscreen and mositurize often, wish I started earlier.

  • Valeen N

I try to keep lotion everywhere, next to the sink, by my bed, in the bathroom, some in my purse, and in the car. That way I always have some handy to keep my skin moisturized!

Right now, i am using Mary Kay, but I need something for the signs of aging on my body!

  • Pat B

I stay out of the sun because I burn so easily. I also use moisturizer as soon as I get out of the shower.

    My secret?
I use Olay! I LOVE Olay total effects and have been using their products when they first came out with Total Effects line. I am 44 and look 35! My face looks fabulous and when women ask me what I use, I simply tell them OLAY!

  • shanna

I’m not the one to ask about taking care of my skin. I’ll be 83 in a few more days, and I never really THOUGHT about taking care of my skin. SHAME ON ME! I just stretched out on a beach blanket and got a gorgeous tan every summer. Didn’t know about skin cancer then. And now? Well, so far, so good. I’m not totally wrinked, and I hope I’ll make it through the rest of my life without skin cancer. But I DO love all those neat things you are offering. I’d like to try them, and get used to using them. maybe I could do better then.

  • Tessa

I leave my moisturizers in the fridge, so when I use them in the morning they help me perk up and keep my skin taut!

  • randi

I started wearing a good moisturizer at a young age & now, in my 50’s, I don’t skimp on the quality of product I use on my face & body. Olay & Aveeno are my 2 favorite products I use for my aging, sensitive skin!

  • andi

I pamper my skin by using moisturizer every.single.time I get out of the shower. I also make sure to moisturize my face before I go to bed. Every night is the key!

  • Cathy B

I try to repent for my teenage years spent slathered in baby oil by always wearing sunscreen and visiting my dermatologist every 6 months. In addition, my face never goes to bed with makeup, and is always slathered in a variety of Avon products. My favorite indulgence, however, is a nightly foot massage with Bath & Bodyworks Lay it on Thick, Shea Butter cream (which, BTW, also got my stretch-mark prone skin through pregnancy without a mark!).

  • Lori

I take care of my skin by putting on lotion immediately after showering and using sunscreen most days.

  • Charlotte

I use Oil of Olay of course! I also try to get enough sleep, and I don’t drink or smoke.

  • Theron Willis

A soap and hot water scrub using a lufa. Post scrub, I apply coconut oil to my skin.

I am new to beauty products, am getting older but don’t want to look old. Have tried Olay again after having used it in my early 20’s. It is good, there are just sooo many choices out there, how is a person to know what’s good and what is not worth the money?

  • Colleen Jensen

I use a foot bath every other day, and then use olay lotion it keeps my feet soft ,my skin needs alot of help as I’m 63.

  • Becky Grady

I freshen my face with boogie wipes!

I kept all cream & face products that are not areosol in my snack drawer in the frig!

  • Sheila B

By always using sunscreen and wearing a hat if I am going to be in the sun.

  • michele

I’ll be honest, I’m trying to learn how to love my skin as I have issues with it. I’ve been using different types of skin care products to find the right fit for my skin and complexion.

  • Kelly Taylor

I haven’t which is why I desperately need to win this Olay gift!

  • Barbara Long

I love my skin by drinking lots of water, using sunscreen and moisturizing my skin daily.

  • Amelia Ramey

I have a n on again off again regimen with my skincare….I need this Oil of OLAY Basket!

  • Allyson

I try to drink a lot of water and get 7-8 hours of sleep evry night. I also make sure to remove any make-up and wash my face everynight. My favorite trick, however, is exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!

  • Carlene Stratton

My skin secrets aren’t secret. I discovered Olay products a few years ago and am addicted! I use everything Olay and I’m always anxious when new items are on the market. I think my favorite face product is the Regenerist Serum. It is light feeling, not at all greasy! I also love the body washes!

  • April Evans

Once a week a do a full body scrub using honey and sugar. I warm up the honey and add just enough so that it saturates the sugar but doesn’t dissolve it. Once in the shower i massage the scrub into my skin, let it sit for a minute or so, then rinse away. The awesome thing about doing it this way instead of using the scrubs you buy in the store that contain sand or other particles is that since you do it in the shower, the sugar will dissolve before you over scrub the skin. After wards you are left soft and sweet, literally it leaves you smelling oh so sweet.

  • krista

I exfoliate 3 times a week in the shower, with a great smelling body sugar scrub. I moisturizes the skin on my body like I do my face; morning and night with an anti-aging lotion.

  • Susan Ryberg

I believe in “air baths.” Instead of towel, powder and rush–I take an air-bath break of about 15 minutes each time I shower (time permitting.) I take simple yoga-type postures, holding aging folds and private folds of skin open to the air for it to thoroughly dry me. I did this for my baby to prevent diaper rash and it now works for my 60-year old skin as well. (Gravity is not kind, gals and guys.) Face facts and let the largest organ of your body “breathe”–in private places and sagging spaces.

  • Robin

Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! And then sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Best ways to love your skin IMO 🙂
