About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. How do the prices compare to the normal Tweezerman range? (I don’t understand $ seeing as I’m in the UK). I wouldn’t pay more for them considering that you can get some brightly coloured Tweezerman anyway. I wouldn’t pay for the Benefit name is what I’m trying, not very well, to say.

    • the Muse

lol ally I think I got you!

prices are actually the same if you go with a regular tweezer but if you were to buy a colored one the benefit one is actually cheaper than the regular tweezerman range 😀

  • rachel

i tend to buy the cheapest possible tweeezers as i lose them/my sister steals them. i should probably invest as it may lead me to look after them better and save me money in the long run………………..yes this is what i’ll tell myself. Also i have crazy eyebrows and they need proper taming.

in other news i got my first skinfood haul in the post today. YAH!

    • the Muse

me too rachel, I’m a hairy beast lol! 😀

whatcha get in the skinfood haul!? deets! deets!

      • rachel

i got the pineapple morning peel, lime salt body wash and the chocolate foaming wash. i got lots of samples too mainly of the gold caviar stuff, i feel a bit weird using it, as i think it has actually caviar in it. not good for a vegetarian.

        • the Muse

sweet rachel! give the word on the lime salt body wash, I haven’t tried sounds delicious. haha it really doesn’t contain caviar 😀

  • Kelly

I’m not sure if the pattern material on these would be the same as on a set of special edition ones I bought a few years ago?; but if so you can expect the designs to wear off pretty fast 🙁

    • the Muse

oh no really kelly? 🙁 I’d be pissy if they did after dishing $20-25 on ’em!

  • Marina

I wouldn’t buy it…simply because $25 for tweezers is a bit too much. But it IS super cute.

    • the Muse

hey marina 😀 mmmm maybe but I’ve been known to spend 30 in some cases EEP! 😀

  • Miss Molly

Oh, I want those yellow-patterned ones! I have perfectly good Tweezermans, but they are not that cute!

  • Robyn

i dont think i have ever been so excited about a pair of tweezers in my life !!!

ive been trying to tell myself “no robyn your regular tweezers do the same job you DO NO NEED tweezerman tweezers” for months

    the resistence has just cracked

    le sigh

  • Thimbler

Noooo way I’m spending that much money on tweezers!! I have this Kiko Milano ones which are pretty good and I believe they cost less that 5€, they will pluck anything.

And as a plus, I highly dislike Benefit, as a brand, and their products as well. Mediocre and awfully expensive products (here in Spain their prices go through the roof), terrible MUAs, all wrapped up in pretty packaging for magpies like me to buy… not falling for that!! (anymore at least, sigh)

    • the Muse

aw sorry to hear it thimbler. some of Benefit’s stuff is my HG 😀 like lemon aid, can’t live without 😀

Can understand with MUA’s, our benefit ones aren’t bad but we have some crazy mac ones 😀

      • Thimbler

Oh, gee I tried the Lemon Aid stuff and it creased like craaazy!! Now I use UDPP in Eden and it works wonders for me… I guess I would try more Benefit stuff if it wasn’t that expensive, but everything I’ve tried, I’ve gotten rid of eventually, except for Benetint which I like actually…

And, gee, we also get the crazy Mac ones, they seem to be into the pornstar look lately… sigh.

  • Jennifer

I want to get a pair of tweezermans, but I’m not sure which kind. Right now I’m using a pointed pair of Revlons… I’m not sure if the pointed-slant ones would be good/better… There are so many varieties at Sephora, I’m not sure which one to pick -_-

BTW, I heard that Shiseido lash curler refill pads fit the Shu. I just ordered a couple off ebay, I’ll let you know how they fit!

    • the Muse

hey Jennifer yup they do fit 😀 but I feel like they aren’t as comfy as the shu’s original one 😀

I’m one for buying needle nose tweezers like the type you use the remove a splinter….I love picking out stray hair with these lol!

      • Jennifer

Oh I see 🙁 I have 3 Shus already 🙁 Maybe the Shiseido ones will soften up over time… my Shu ones feel so soft now. Agh.

YES! I love picking hairs one by one… which is why I’m not totally sold on buying slant tweezers – as famous as these are – I love precision too much. I don’t care if it takes me 1 hour to do my brows, I want to sit in front of my 10x mirror and pluck super selectively…ah…

        • the Muse

jennifer totally love the feel of a broken in curler pad 😀 haha! I like precision too they really dig deep 😀

  • Robin

If I needed a new pair of tweezers I’d nab these cuties in a minute!

  • Valerie

I would so jump on a pair of those tweezers, but I have this lovely off brand pair that is covered in a cute little floral pattern! I could never replace it!
