Yay or Nay: Agyness Deyn Super Short Hair

I developed my first girl crush when I was 11 year’s old and seen Mia Farrow in Rosemary’s Baby. Needless to say I was ever after Mia’s biggest fan particularly because her super cute pixie cut totally wow’ed me.

Love Magazine recently tweeted a photo of Agyness Deyn’s new super short hair cut and man I fell in love all over again!

Yay or Nay for a super short hair cut for Agyness Deyn.

Jump!

Agyness Deyn has always brought a certain edge to her look but lord she looks as cute as pie with her new hair. I’ve been tempted to cut my hair for years and years as its super long and super wavy so a shorter pixie cut would be amazing but sadly I’m scared as hell to do it.

She does kinda look like a teenage boy but that’s kinda part of the unique appeal. Its very boyish yet still has a softer, sweeter edge.

Total yay for me!

What do you think?

Yay?

Nay?

Nay…she looks like a DUDE! I loved her blonde short locks from a while back

  • Kristina

Um no. I hate it when I can’t tell if someone is male or female.

definite NAY. i love the pixie hairstyle (i sported one 1.5 yrs ago), but this hairstyle on Agnes looks like she just buzzed off her hair.

    • the Muse

oh she did audrey. she had the sinead oconnor thing going on 😀 but this looks cuter, pixie like 😀

LOVE. i have had my hair this short as well, it’s very freeing and really shows off the face. i did this for a summer when i was traveling all over for 3 months and it was SO quick and easy to wash and run. takes a heck of a time to grow out but i still recommend it. every woman should try chopping her hair once! 😀

    • the Muse

god laura I envy you! I want too so badly but just scared as hell 😀 it really shows off her eyes as well, they look so big and blue 😀

  • Kate

Looks awesome on her! However, if I tried to cut my hair that short I would look like a total pumpkin head with chipmunk cheeks.

    • the Muse

are u kiddin’ kate? me too! my face is way too full for it 😀

      • Kate

I did short (not a pixie, but still pretty short) and my cheeks were terrible! I’m surprised they don’t get pinched more often!

I’ve had both short hair and long hair. I like both. I’ve had it where it was less than half an inch in the back and no longer than two inches in the front. It can be totally sexy if done right.

Currently my hair is really long (to the top of my boobs in front, and bra strap length in back), and I’m eyeing some shorter styles, thinking of cutting it off.

    • the Muse

yes but you have the perfect face for it DD 😀 Noooo leave it. I love the new longer look plus I want a little orange for Summer please ? 😀

      • Phyrra

I was thinking about going back to red, or maybe black and magenta. I’m getting bored of the pink and purple. Though if I have to go back to corporate world, probably best to go black or red. I emailed you pix of what I am thinking of doing.

YAY! A thousand times Yay. My hair is like that right now. It’s very slightly longer, but I’ve kept my hair that short for over a year now. I adore it. And frankly, I love looking androgynous. I know that sounds weird, but I think it can make a woman look very intriguing and interesting. I know I’m a lot more confident in myself now than I was when I had long hair.

    • the Muse

mollie me too agreed 😀 I love it! I think androgynous is a great look tbh and she fits it well 😀 I wish I could pull it off! u should send a pic would love to see your short do 😀

  • jonnie

    Cuuuute! 😀

I had a buzz cut for a while when I was 19 (long story; I’m so not a skin head), and when it was first growing out it looked like this and I was also cuuute! then. 😉 As I mentioned, I was 19 and, well, 30 pounds lighter… I’m too round for such a look now. Sigh. I adore pixie cuts.

    • the Muse

me too jonnie my exact prob is I’m just too round for a pixie cut 😀

  • Tohnia

i’ve done the pixie. I looked like an elf! Round cheeks and all. I think she looks gorgeous though. The new hair puts all the focus on her eyes and makes her look very fey.

  • regina

nah im scared of short hair but its prob coz i dont have the confidence to pull it off. i’ve had short boy hair in the 5th grade and never felt comfortable with it because i thought it made me look like a boy and all my femininity was all cut off. haha id prob still cry nowadays if my hair is cut too short.

    • the Muse

oh regina I had the boy hair. my mum kept my hair short when I was like 5 or 6! I think I started growing it out in the 2nd grade or so but it was always so short in the early days. I even had a mullet going on for a while LMAO

  • Kelly

I’m sorry to say no 🙁 If it were a bit longer perhaps I’d like it, but I can’t tell she’s a girl at all. I do like pixies on some people, but this is not one of those moments.

  • Anna

No… I’m so sorry Muse, to disagree. I lost all my hair after my little Renata was born. My girlfriends shaved what was left of it off as all I had left was one long strand. I tried going au natural for a while and ended up with a killer sunburned head and a melted wig 😉 dont ever leave synthetic hair in your friends convertible when you go shopping. I’m under treatment now and i’m trying to grow my hair out- its chin length and wavy – so short cuts make my shudder. My hope is to stop at shoulder length hair. I still have quite a few spots where my hair still will not grow in because of the Alopecia. I always tell my friends who pluck their white hairs-think before you pluck- hair is precious.
