Bourjois Paris 1001 Lashes Mascara Review
Hey chicklets!
Almost the end of the week now, hyped? Thank GAWD! Phew, been a crazy kinda week. If you’re yearning for Bourjois Paris Healthy Mix Foundation (wasn’t my fav product) it’s available at Ulta now. That was pretty fast! Normally Bourjois US sure takes a while to arrive, happy days for those who had a lemming.
Speaking of Bourjois Paris I whipped out 1001 Lashes Mascara this morning and gave it a whirl.

What is it?
Bourjois Paris 1001 Lashes Mascara is a no-clump mascara formulation to make lashes appear fuller. Designed with a double sided brush incorporation 12 rows of bristles to coat each and every lash.
The Good…
This is an interesting one due to it’s applicator design. The applicator is a swirling helix design with teeth (kinda reminds me of the Fairy Drops Mascara applicator) to catch lashes as you apply. The design allows lashes to be pulled outwards which leads to some very nice length and when used patiently you can get a nice curl from it as well. The formula is pretty rich and heavy so it’s ideal for a smoky eye look. I seen nice length, curl, and volume from the mascara.
The Bad…
You have to be very patient when you using this otherwise it will clump up and create a bit of a mess. The formula is pretty heavy which is great for a dramatic look but not fab for holding curl as it easily weights lashes down. I hate the fact that I have to twirl the wand as I apply to get the length I’m desire as I’m so klutzy when doing this I end up creating a mess if I’m not careful.
Who Might Like It?
- Anyone who likes deeper, richer, heavier mascaras for dramatic eye looks.
- Patience folks who aren’t rush to apply mascara and have a slow, steady hand.
Who Might Not Like It?
- Anyone with shorter, stubbier lashes (you’ll see length with this but it won’t keep curl on shorter lashes and it will weight them down).
- Anyone who isn’t keen on a heavier mascara.
Final Thoughts…
My main problem was the patience I needed to have during application. With patience you’ll get great results but if you’re impatient and as rushed as I am, you’ll end up with a mess! Sadly I wasn’t too impressed with this one, I’ve seen way better from Bourjois.
Anyone try it?
